SLOW SLOW SLOW I moved my one bedroom apartment (2nd floor, no elevator) ACROSS THE PARKING LOT to the new construction building (4th floor, elevator access). I moved the breakables over myself and had all the boxes sealed and stacked at the door waiting. It somehow took FOUR HOURS and ended up costing me $508! Granted the guys were personable and polite and they didnt break anything, but the timing was ridiculous for two tall muscly dudes. Especially considering there was no driving distance to speak of. It got to the point where my mom and I started picking up boxes and moving things ourselves to try to save some money and speed things up. Did I mention the rate is $124 and hour and the clock starts from when they leave the office in Urbandale and runs until they make it back? It seemed to take forever for them to get started and then there was lots of lag time where they just disappeared into the truck. The last straw was when one guy came up the elevator with one small dinette chair in his hands and nothing else. Cant you at least carry two?! This was my first moving experience and I picked them because of the great reviews I saw, but I was sorely disappointed.

June 2016 “It is hard to put into words, exactly how EXCELLENT Eric, DJuan & Brice were... I needed strong men & a truck !! I recently broke my wrist and litterally can not use my left hand, with the move pending & being on a limited budget, I decided to call Two Men & A Truck, when Eric & his team showed up with the truck.. I had no problem saying.. "ok guys, i needed strength & a truck... here you are, Lets do this"... WOW did they do this !!!!!!!!!! With the direction of my injured self & my elderly father... It was like having Family/Friends doing the move !! Eric, DJuan & Brice litterally understood the goal was to move everything heavy from point A to point B. They wasted no time getting the job done. Courteous, professional, and very fast. The same guys that wrap and pack your stuff are the ones that unload it wherever you tell them. They dont "farm out" the work to others. They are not a broker or a middle-man: they are a full service moving company. They are also a lot cheaper than larger companies like Atlas. We recently moved from Iowa to Texas. They packed up our whole 4 bedroom house and garage full of stuff in about 6 hours. To make matters worse it was snowing while they were doing so, but they were careful not to drop our stuff or get it wet. They wrapped everything, boxed it, put it nice and neatly in the truck, and then went and got our storage unit full of stuff. All our stuff came out of the box in the same shape it went in. Amazing!

“In the beginning I had to come up with a move in a very slim window. Two men and a truck were more than willing to work with my busy schedule. They had my move done in under 3 hours. These guys really rocked it! By the time i got to my original apartment (starting location) where my brother was helping to coordinate, they were almost done loading everything into the truck! I couldnt have gotten this much done if i had 5 people! A co worker at my Agency recommended them to me because he used them to move his family while he was working. Fast, Reliable, and Professional! These are the people i will be using again in the future! Thank you so much to the two gentleman who moved my things from Ames to West Des Moines on June 9th, 2016! You guys are awesome!!”

Eric, Dennis, and Bryce showed up within a few minutes of the scheduled time and finished sooner than I had thought they would and did a fantastic job of loading and unloading my stuff. Their attitudes were great! They were friendly, polite, respectful, professional, and fun. They took great care to protect my belongings, floors, and doors. Dennis even fixed the wobbly base of my flat-screen TV before they left. That is very impressive service! I could tell these three guys enjoyed working with each other and were sincerely interested in helping me out in any way they could. It was a pleasure to have them as my moving team and I will definitely be recommending your company to anyone who needs anything moved. These guys rocked!!

I just moved in my apartment today. The two movers were courtesy and kind. They wrapped everything tightly and managed to move everything in efficiently. They also explained the procedures and liabilities throughly to me before moving it in as well as during the moving process if something couldnt be moved. These guys will get your all belongings in a safe manner, they even pulled my long couch over my third floor balcony without damaging anything! They are willing to set all your end tables, night stands, and dressers exactly the way you want it. I would definately recommend this company for anyone moving from 2 hours away :).

I hired this company based on a recommendation by someone and even though they were a bit more expensive, I decided to go with them. I gave them every piece of furniture that was to be moved and told it would take 3-4 hours to move, probably closer to 3 hrs. the lady said. They came in at 5.25 hrs. which added a significant amount of $$$ to the bill!!!!! There was nothing they encountered to make the move hard, they were apparently just slow or trying to get more money for the job. The bill was definitely a shock and I will not use them again. I now have to move my parents again for unseen reasons, and I am looking elsewhere.

There is nothing half as delightful as getting real value for your money. With that comes a sense of contentment and fulfillment. We had a wonderful experience. Q and his team were remarkably professional! It had got late in the evening and had one more trip of small items that we personally could have loaded ourselves. They asked if that was it or if they wanted to go back for the next load. Without even hesitating Q said we will just go back over and get the next load. This company is perfect in all categories. I know that some reading reviews and dont think twice about them. But please pay attention to this review.

Excellent! From start to finish the entire process was conducted professionally and courteously. The items were packed perfectly! We had delicate dishware and wine glasses and the packaging and care put into each item was exquisite! When we unpacked there was not one single item damaged! That goes for the furniture also. They put floor runners down so they wont damage your floors. They ask where every box and piece of furniture goes when unloading at your destination. I cant say enough. I would use them again above any other moving company! Perfect!

We hired Two Men and a Truck to move some large items between our house and a family members. They were very accommodating as far as finding a time that worked for us. They called in advance as expected and they showed up promptly during their estimated arrival time. They were incredibly polite and worked very quickly and carefully. They even helped us break down a box spring that wasnt fitting through our stairway. They were wonderful guys! We will absolutely be using Two Men and a Truck again. It was easily our best hired movers experience yet.
