Was enticed by StorageMart’s competitive pricing and the free first month offer. Reserved online – although it asked me to sign the lease agreement which I could not get to display (attempted on multiple browsers.) On-site staff was friendly and check-in for the unit was pretty painless. Of course they want to sell you their insurance (they require you to be insured while renting there.) Staff then offered to show me the unit – I was quite surprised when they then drove me past the storage units located at the main office and we drove several miles to the edge of town where they had additional units. I asked if they had any units available at the main office as I had not been informed the unit I was renting was at an entirely different location. They stated they did but they would be more expensive. I asked why they would be more expensive… and they stated they were the “deluxe” units (yet were not climate controlled) and what I had reserved was the “standard”. The “deluxe” was going to be $20/additional per month. I cancelled the order for the unit at this point. I walked across the street (literally) and reserved one with Storage Masters for $10 more a month (still saving $10 from what they would have charged me had I chosen their “deluxe” unit offering.) I’d like to re-iterate that the staff was understanding and helpful. They were nice enough to refund the $20 administrative fee. This is why I rated this business 2 stars as opposed to 1. After re-visiting the website, I did not see a “deluxe” option listed. To me, this is a borderline bait-and-switch attempt. Not happy with the time/energy wasted – but glad they at least refunded the administrative fee.

I have been a customer at your Waukee store for 18 months. In that time I have had 3 managers that worked with me.I was amazed that each one of the provided the same excellent service.I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the fa cility. The only complaint I have is with your maintenance department.I told the manager about a problem with a broken handle on the shed that my unit was in. He was kind enough to immanently contact the regional manager of the situation while I was there. It around 3 weeks for maintenance to attempt to fix it. Rick, the manager apologized repeatedly. I finally bought a roll of Duck Tape and made a temporary. Thank God you had 3 professional managers( Dom, Jean, and Rick) that I was able to work with. Had not handled my problem in such a proffessioal manner I would have left.

I was driving in from out of town with my stuff and got a call from Storage Mart that I would not be able to use the unit I had previously reserved. Im not sure why, as I had reserved online, talked to Rico when he called me back about it shortly thereafter, then went in to the office in person to change the reservation several days prior. This could have been a huge problem, but Rick already had a great solution in mind when he called me, so it was pretty much fixed before I even knew it was an issue. Their professionalism and customer service in this resulted in a great experience. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Great experience. Moved from Cedar Rapids and needed a large storage unit for a few months while we searched for a new home. They were excellent in helping me with my needs. They even transferred me to the Waukee location when I suggested it would be closer. Unit was clean, location was very secure. I had NO issues with water, mice, etc. Excellent Customer Service! Would highly recommend.

I call early March to get an RV storage spot even though we will not use it until April. I am usually on the West Coast when I rent it but they work with me to secure a spot even though I will not be in for another month or so to do the paper work. I have rented an RV space for three years for the summer. I love the way it works.

I dont normally write reviews, but this was necessary. Manager does a fantastic job, I rent out for work and these guys go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need. My unit is clean and I have had no issues what so ever. Absolutely great service. Wish I had this sort of help every where else I go!

The Waukee location was fantastic. Their facility was clean and professional. They worked with our short term needs and never had any problems. If you need to store something in the Waukee, Iowa area they are great work with! Would recommend them anytime!!!

Very easy to reserve a unit, pricing that wont put a dent in your budget, friendly and knowledgeable staff that help you through the entire process. Most important to me is that their facility is well maintained and very secure.
