False advertising, 10X15 unit was advertised on website for $72 dollars a month and first month rent at $1. After entering my information and reserving this unit on the website I received a call almost immediately from this office to set up an appt to take care of paperwork. Upon arriving at my scheduled appt yesterday at 4:30 PM I was told the unit was under maintenance. I said ok dont you have others? I was told the price for 10X15 units was $98 a month and the first month was 1/2 the rent instead of the $72 a month and first month $1. I was somewhat stunned to hear that when the website clearly stated $72 dollars a month and first month rent $1 for a 10X15. I see now that was just a ploy to get me in there. I called the 800 customer service who in turn called the district manager Chad and left a message for him to call me. Ive not heard back from Chad that just reinforces my thoughts that Public storage is somewhat shady in how they do business. Upon looking on their website they have now changed the pricing. If I dont trust a business I certainly dont do business with them and there was no effort on Chads part to make it right or to even compromise, not even an apology. Needless to say I wont be doing any business with Public Storage ever. Beware of false advertising.

Hey~This is a shout out to Donna Wilhelm who signed me up for a storage unit at the Woodson Facility. I was on a lunch break/time crunch and Donna, in a professional manner, moved me through the process respectful of my time, offered me the various programs, explained all clearly and answered my questions directly. I was very satisfied with my experience. I totally felt listened to, that she heard my needs and responded accordingly. Also, when I was moving items into my unit, I had mis-remembered my code and she came to my assistance with humor and kindness. Public Storage will be served well by employees such as she. I only regret that there was a time delay in getting this review to you folks. With my move and transitions, it has taken me a month plus to get this shout out for Donna. My wife and I close on the sale of our home later this month, so we were in need of a large climate controlled unit to hold not only our items but our daughters. Today the trailer was full, four helpers were ready to unload, but we still needed a unit. The moment I arrived at the Woodson Public Storage facility, the manager, Tammy, was very helpful in identifying a proper unit for us that was "clean and dry." She was very helpful in getting me registered answering all of my questions as my team were on its way to the unit. She guided our truck with the 24 trailer to our unit so there werent any difficult or dangerous turns. Everything was off-loaded this afternoon with room to spare. We thank Tammy for her efficiency and professionalism.

I had some trouble with a couple of the other employees, but my 3rd day back, thank goodness Donna Wilhelm was there. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful along with being courteous & friendly. You dont find that often in the customer service field. the rules & regulations of Public Storage were not a good fit for for, so I will never use them again. two reasons, changing my code for no reason, so when I went to my unit, couldnt get in (and no it wasnt for missing a payment, the came straight out of my account) & then to raise rate in less of 6 months of renting was ridiculous. none of this was Donna fault, but she should be able to be transferred to CO for being such a great employee. I rented a 10 x 10 climate controlled unit for over 3 years; although I loved it, I had to downsize. After selling or giving away some "stuff," Taylor helped me move into a 5 x 15 unit - saving $46 a month. Taylor was extremely patient and showed 5 x 15 and 5 x 10 units so Id make the best choice. The move went smoothly, and just last week, Taylor was there to help me re-lock my new "outdoor" unit, as I was having trouble sliding the latch into the slot. Thank you, Taylor! I had a great experience working with the property manager Tammy and the relief manger Becky. I had reserved my unit and wanted to still do some comparison shopping for the best price and location. Tammy was understanding and flexible with allowing me time to make my decision. When I decided to finalize my lease Becky was on hand and we were able to pick up where Tammy left off. They were both very nice and professional.

C.J. has excellent customer service! She handled our whole experience with a smile. I was especially appreciative when she waited at the office for me to arrive and close out my account. Came in today to empty out storage after one month and half. Discovered a whole bunch of roaches in my stuff!!!!! I was forced to buy a specialized lock that will only fit their storage lock boxes, they also required us to pay for insurance. They would not refund the lock and it is useless anywhere else!!! Will not recommend this place to anybody if one were to ask.

Have been a customers of Public Storage for quite some time. I run my own business and storage can be an issue. I frequently have questions and Im always looking for the best deal possible. The Site manager named Taylor is always friendly and will go the extra mile for her clients. If anyone is looking for storage needs pls visit the Raytown Woodson location first.

Michelle was so helpful in a frustrating situation. There was a problem with the reservation at first, but she was kind and was able to help us out. She even called the District Manager, Travis Olson, to honor the original deal (cheaper price)! We are happy overall. Make sure you keep your pictures and paperwork. Call the day before too!!

A couple of friends and I rented a storage unit over summer break. We had a great experience here. Taylor made the rental process very smooth, she explained everything in detail so there was no confusion. The facility was clean and well kept. I would rent here again, mostly because of the great customer service I received from Taylor.

Michelle at the Raytown--Woodson location was awesome! Our moving day had been stressful enough however dealing with Michelle was a breath of fresh air! She was extremely courteous, helpful, efficient, and made sure we chose a unit that was going to be large enough to hold our belongings until our new place is ready! Shes the best!
