We had an appt to be there between noon and 3:30 to purchase our unit. We went to the apartment first and picked up our first load before we headed over there. We got there at 3:00 and no one was there. There was a note on the door of the office that said they would be back at 3:30. So we waited in the truck till 3:45, still no one showed up. Then as it was approaching 4:00, we saw a car pull up and a teenage girl came out. She walked out to the "private" door near the back of the office and knocked on the door and someone let her in. We were both like, what the?! So they are too lazy to unlock the office door!? So we pulled in front of the office and started blowing up their phone, left a message, and honked the horn a few times. Nothing. Finally like 10 minutes later this truck pulls up and a guy jumps out. He apologized to my husband, told him his car died or something. Whatever. Anyway they wanted 1 dollar for the first month, 20 dollars for a staffing fee, and another 20 dollars for the lock that goes on the unit. My husband didnt want to pay 20 dollars for a lock that we will use for a few months and probably never use again. So the guy tells him, "You can check out Home Depot, they have them for 5 bucks." So my husband told him we would be back before 6:00 (their closing time). We went to Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Napa, even a lock store..This one lock does not exist any where. The guy working at the lock store told us that only Public Storage sells these kinds of locks and the guy working there should of known that. So now we were super pissed off. By this time it was almost 5:00 and we only had our mattress and boxspring in the back of the truck (its only an F-150, so not a lot of space). So we sucked it up and went back to Public Storage ready to shell out the extra 20 bucks. Guess what? The guy was gone, AGAIN! We waited 20 minutes, still no show up. After that we said screw this. We had to go all the way back home and drop off the bed back at the apartment. They wasted our gas and all of our time! Sorry dude, you lost our business!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I made a reservation by web first. Then I called the office to confirm that they had the size I wanted, what all they needed, that someone would be there and most importantly how much exactly I needed to have to pay for it when I got there. I get there one lady is on the phone and another is towards the back with her child. I stood there waiting mind you no other customer was there. They only have one system. Finally the one girl gets off the phone and the other pulls up my info. She takes me out to the unit, show it to me and then proceeds to tell me that this will be my lock. I stopped her and said no one said anything about a lock so is that part of the price. She tells me the lock is twenty something dollars and I have to use their lock. I said ok then thats part of the dollar amount they told me yesterday. I told her that I called up and asked exactly what and how much was I going to need and was told around $30 since it was the end of the month. The admin fee, $1 special and a couple days prorated. She takes me back to the office and proceeds to tell me that no it would over $60 something today. I said thats not what was told to me. She pretty much just sat there and made up every excuse she could come up with. Im on a tight budget. That would be why I called before hand to make sure if the price. Now I wasted my gas and time going up there and dont have what I need to move things. This place is ridiculous.

I was in KC for one night and needed to move the contents of my entire house overnight. I was told by Cira that I had been granted "special" 24 hour access as this facility is normally closed. I asked at least five times if getting in that night would be a problem before signing paperwork and was told that it was no big deal. After I had an SUV, truck and trailer and another car load of things outside the gate (while it was pouring rain outside) I realized the "special access" was not something Cira could actually give me. I had all my things in the trailer getting soaking wet and ruined while I was on the phone for an hour speaking to customer service and got no where. I was totally disgusted with this facility and the people who currently operate it.

The staff onsite is an unreliable source of communication regarding arrangements to move in, move out, make payment arrangements or anything. They default on arrangements and harass customers with threatening letters demanding money and the sell of their property. Customer service number is even worse they just push you back to the site where they are already poor at providing customer service and following through and never, never, ever schedule your move out/ vacate online because its not honored and they will still charge you fees and place liens on your property, even cut off your lock, and restrict your access to the property even though they have been paid whats due to them. TERRIBLE !!!!!!!

"I stopped by your facility a couple of weeks ago to see your storage bins. I was impressed with the kindness and knowledge given to me by the employee working. Jonathan explained the different bin sizes at the facility and showed me the various supplies on hand for my personal needs if required. The area was clean, and neat, and Jonathan was very pleasant. Another employee entered the facility while I was their. Her name was Shawna. They were both extremely kind and answered all my questions. You have good employees that seem to care about their customers and the facility itself."

Horrible service. Manager leaves/locks her little boy in the office alone while helping customers outside. This place should be shut down and someone should call child services. Also girl working is clearly having inappropriate relations with Male manager there its disgusting and unprofessional to the MAX (right in front of customers)! I had to clean my stuff out and go due to this ridiculous place they call a business! NEVER EVER STORE HERE!!! I have used Public storage before and moved my stuff here due to rude employees BIG MISTAKE unprofessionalism seems to be there motto!

I had the pleasure of working with Donny yesterday. I havent had to deal with a storage unit in years and I was doing this all alone. He was very professional and patient with me. He made sure I had a clear understanding of what to do and how to do it. My whole moving experience has been pretty fast and stressful but he was able to make me smile and reassure me that all will work out. If any of my friends and family ever need to use a storage unit, I will DEMAND that they come to this location to get the "Donny Experience"!!!!
