As far as storage facilities go this location is about what one would expect. Not in the middle of the city, but not in the middle of no where either. This site sits just off highway 71 between Kansas City and Belton Missouri. Easy to get to. The area is kind of small, with limited outside storage, but it does have outside storage. Many storage locations in the Kansas City area do not have that, big plus! My storage unit recently had an internal tumbler style lock installed which makes it more difficult to break into. In addition to that lock, the locking mechanism also had slots for two master lock style locks. So I have the option of locking methods. One down fall I see to the lock, and the reason I did not rate the facility a 5 star, was that the bolt system seems weak. It is a simple side bar about an inch long that is L shaped. It bolts in the center of the door, with nothing bolting the door top or bottom. I would feel more secure in the safety of my property if the door had some sort of locking system at all four corners. After all, the reason I have rented a storage locker, is to SAFELY store my property from theft or damage from the elements. As it is I feel the system could easily be compromised. But that can be said of most storage facilities. Another plus was the manager. She was very helpful both in person and over the phone. I had called ahead, less than an hour before she was to close for the evening. She helped me find the location, I was new to the area, and once I arrived she went out of her way to ensure I was able to rent my locker before she closed for the evening. There is a lack of customer service in our society today, but not at her storage location. Excellent customer service!

Lousy. Go up and check it out after dark. No lights on in the storage area, except for 2. Someone stole a radio out of the dash of a vehicle; cut the padlock on another truck and took a quantity of items out. Scratch up a car down one side. Went through a other outside stored trailers. Another vehicles gas line was cut.. The DISTRICT MANAGER has not returned calls. The national telephone number reps. redirect to the same DISTRICT MANAGER. The manager at the site; Dee Dee (Dolores) has been friendly. Plan to move to another storage location with another company as soon as possible. These are some of the things that happened recently, and in a very short period of time. Local police department indicated they have gone up there a number of times.

I needed a clean secure storage option to move my parents belongings. I was mislead by another storage company and my stuff ended up in a filthy unsecure unit. So I needed to move fast. Becky and Dee Dee were awesome in helping me get this done and into their much better facility. If you need a storage space in the Belton area I would highly recommend Public Storage. The staff have been extremely accommodating. No need to waste your time looking at other options. Start here!

DeeDee was on vacation today when I went to rent a unit. Becky was there and she provided me with friendly and excellent service. She took me to the unit to make sure it would suffice my needs. She thoroughly went over the paperwork, making sure I understood each detail and she made sure my code worked before I left. I know this young lady and she is a sweet heart and every one thinks she is the nices lady that works at public storage. I think Dee Dee is so kind and a very happy person. Donna was very knowledgeable and helpful today and went through every aspect of the process. During my lease signing someone came in who had forgotten their code and she gladly helped them also but not before checking their ID which made me happy that just anyone couldnt get into the property! Dee Dee provides excellent service. She is professional and respectful which goes a long way. Facilities were clean and well kept, at least my personal units. It did, however, seem the property dumpster bins were always overflowwing. Id use it again if needed.
