Crispy Bacon

Took multiple locks in to get re-keyed. Was told it would take 1-2 days. After waiting over a week I called and was told they would be done at 10am the next day. Well after 10 the following day I went in and found that they couldn’t even find the locks, much less had them done. That same day I was told it would be later and they would call. Surprisingly they called and said they couldn’t figure the locks out (isn’t this their only business?). So, after going back to pick the locks up they ended up losing one and simply didn’t seem to care. I know this place has been around a long time but I don’t see how they will stay in business much longer with their horrible customer service, lack of expertise and then losing customers property, much less caring to even apologize about any of it. I guess over charging for service calls and key cutting is what they are good at.

Central Key gets a 5 today because they are helping me out big time. We are in Wichita because our daughter just had a baby. Her fob on her key for a Honda was broken and I wanted to get her a working key before we left. I came in at 10 minutes till 5. They close at 5. No frowns, no irritated looks, they just got on with helping me. They told me my options, some of which were expensive because of these stupid fobs you have to have these days. I told Wes who was helping me that I wanted the easiest least expensive deal I can get and he smiled and got to work. Im sitting in the easy to crank car and about to leave right now. It is 5:13.

Great service, great prices. Very skilled locksmith. I bought a couple key fob cases and key blanks for my Scion Tc on Amazon. The key fobs have a pretty awful design and theyre always breaking. So I cant just replace the whole thing when one breaks. I just swap the guts and chips from one blank to the other. I went in to get the keys cut, my original key was so worn we had some trouble with the first one. He was able to correct it and make the key work. He even used a generic key blank first to make sure he wouldnt ruin my aftermarket key fob blanks. Would absolutely recommend Central Key and Safe and would use their service again.

WONDERFUL experience!!! Had an appt with a different company(city locks) and they were a no-show. Called Central Key & Safe. Shane was there in 10 minutes and re-keyed all 3 entry doors in no time flat! They were also LESS EXPENSIVE. Very happy with the service

I called and described the problems we were having with a unique lock. A man came to the house, looked at the lock and said he couldnt work on that brand. $50 service call for NOTHING. Im very annoyed and aggravated.
