Dauenhauer did a lot of work for me over a period of about 3 weeks. While their plumbers were friendly, they were extremely over-priced. The first plumber who came out charged me almost $1k because he thought there was a clog in a toilet drain line and he kept cutting sections of the pipe out to try to find it. Everytime he cut and repaired a section he charged me another $300. A clog wasnt even the main issue. $1k and this was before any work at all was done. This was just cutting up my ceiling and walls and trying to find an imaginary clog. They also left a huge mess when they left. I called to talk to a supervisor about it and the lady in the office, Suzanne, was extremely rude to me and told me that leaving a huge mess was just how plumbers were. After I insisted that it was outside of the norm, she finally said she would have the supervisor call me. When the supervisor Ben did come out and saw the huge mess he was extremely apologetic and helped to rectify the situation. That was the most positive part of my experience with this company, and if it werent for Ben and how he handled the situation, Id have just given this company one star.

Best experience with a trade in 18 years and weve done a lot of home repair and remodeling. Ben Cloud and his crew did an amazing job cutting concrete and installing new plumbing for a basement bath project. Responsive, skilled, pleasant and cooperative, Ben worked the schedule to get our job done right and as quick as possible. He reworked his original quote to get it in our budget. He then brought in Diamond Cut Concrete to cut & jackhammer our existing basement floor. Jimmy then came in with Mike to reroute and install all new shower and vanity drains and vents. Diamond cut then returned the next day to fill in with new concrete & to remove the cut concrete from the site. Everyone was great to work with! We couldnt be happier especially after they charged actual time and parts which reduced the cost significantly from the original quote! A great outfit. Well be calling them for all our plumbing needs. Thank you Ben!

I had a great experience with Dauenhauer Plumbing to clear out roots between our cleanout and the tie in with the city. I had a poor experience with another company and unfortunately the job was not done correctly, the plumbing was backed up again only 10 days later. The guys came out on New Years day, in the evening, within an hour of speaking to us. They were pleasant to deal with even though it was a holiday. They had to run the rotor router 4 times, then went and picked up their larger tool to finish the job since it was so severely blocked by roots. They tested each time they rotor rooted- put toilet paper down and ran the sinks, showers, and flushed toilets. They probably spent 2 hours here just to make sure it was done properly. Beyond this, they charged HALF the price we were quoted by the first plumber to fix their own job. Glad I called them, very thorough work and would definitely recommend their work.

I did not receive service from this company, however they were performing services and installing on houses that were on both sides of me and the workers were nothing short of lazy, unorganized, individuals that did not care at all about anyone other than themselves. On a minimum of 5 occasions these people BLOCKED MY ENTIRE STREET with their vehicles, giant backhoes, huge piles of gravel and just didnt care about anyone else. I asked the guys how anybody was supposed to get out or move and one of them responded with "Just gotta wait I guess." This is absolutely ridiculous and reflects of how this company cares about anyone other than themselves apparently. I called and had spoken with managers there (of whom were respectful and nice) on multiple occasions yet issues such as this kept occurring and I needed to keep complaining to get anything done. This is just un-acceptable.

Called Sunday to get someone to check out my water heater due to not having any hot water. I set up an appointment time frame from 9am-2pm for the next day. I take off work to be able to meet the technician. So the 6 hours come and go and no phone call. So I call the company to make sure I was still able to have a tech come out. The lady says yes, they are working an issue at an apartment complex. 2 hours later, the tech calls me and says they cant make it until probably 10pm or he could come the next day. Im not complaining that an emergency took presidence over my water heater not working. Im complaining that no one ever called to let me know. HEY! We have an issue, we cant get to you. Communication goes a long way. Then maybe I could have found someone else to help me get some hot water in my house during the 8 HOURS I waited! Sure made me feel pushed to the side.

I have never had an experience with a contractor like I had with Dauenhauer Plumbing. They were given my number because of something I posted online. I received a call from the Louisville office and the next day Justin and Jacob were at my door to give an estimate on a water pipe repair. Well, simple turned into complicated and, lets just say, they were simply AWESOME to deal with. They explained everything they found and what the cost was and when things got more complicated, had to change the game plan and the cost. My husband and I were amazed at how fair it was. They were very honest with us. Wonderful people to deal with. I would recommend them 100%!

Joe B. took care of a couple of plumbing jobs at our home. We had an awful smell coming from our kitchen sink and shower and he was able to solve the issue pretty easily (he was the 3rd different plumber to work on it, but the first to figure it out!) He also did a routine job of disconnecting the plumbing one day and coming back the next day to reconnect it. He was always on time and called before he came. Thanks!

Made an appointment several days in advance and they gave me a 5 hour window 8a-1p. At 1:15p hadnt heard anything so gave them a call, said they werent sure what time they would be able to come/if they could come today and that they had been too busy to give me a call to let me know they were running behind. Wasted 5 hours of my day waiting around for them. Will find someone else to do the work.

What I appreciate most about the Dauenhauer plumbers are that they fix my problems the first time, every time. Always courteous, professional and clean. The last time I called them they refused to charge me because the problem I was experiencing was due to me not understanding a seating on my water heater. The tech showed me how to use it and refused payment. Class act all the way.

Dauenhauer is a keeper. We couldnt have asked for better service.They responded almost immediately to a relatively minor plumbing issue and took care of it in minutes. My wife and I were both extremely impressed, and we will certainly call on Dauenhauer Plumbing the next time we need a plumber.
