RUN! They lied about everything including their company. I wanted a specifically “high end quote” to prepare financially. After extensively explaining my situation, logistics, and want I needed in a moving service on via phone and email with Greg Mitchel, I hired them. He agreed the high end figure was $500 and wanted a $99 deposit to be It was a 2 bedroom apartment (first floor) 7.3 miles (11 minutes) to another 2 bedroom apartment (first floor). They arrived earlier than Greg agreed and started the clock, even though I told him several times I would not be home until 9.30 am. They didnt have my apartment number at either address, although I gave it to Greg a few times. I verified it was not on the paperwork the employees were given. I had dismantled my washer and dryer; had everything packed, labeled, and moved into a central location next to the door; broke down my couch and recliner; and broke down all beds and had rods and rails secure. The only thing they had to do was physically pick things up, wrap furniture, and move my possessions. I had to initial a paper "stating they were there and started at the time they stated they started" (15 minutes earlier than I told them I would be at home) and sign "giving them permission to move" or they couldnt move me. It was one sheet of paper- not a contract. I was not given a chance to read. It took 3 hours to move prepared items onto a truck, twice the amount of time previous moving companies had taken with the same possessions. I provided them with water and fruit for a snack on their drive, but they wanted to “stop for a Gatorade” on the way to the other apartment. I agreed it was reasonable that they could buy a drink on the way. It took them an hour to get from door to door. They didnt tell me they didnt have my apartment number to the new place and Greg didnt provide them with my complete destination address on their paperwork or via phone. When they arrived, they demanded payment to get my things off of the truck. I was shocked and said I would pay at the end after "their clock stopped" per my agreement. I was told they were given orders not to unload until they received 703.63, paid in full. They said if they charged more than the time it took them to unload, they would issue me a refund. The movers added they felt bad, but they were doing their job and that most customers are shocked that they have to pay more their items are held until payment. I called Greg. He argued and said I had to pay if I wanted my possessions, he denied any agreement with me, and ultimately yelled at me. I paid so I wouldnt lose everything we owned. The bill was 203.63 from the quote I was given for the move “if they had to” break down the beds, assemble them, not be careless and damage furniture and boxes including nearly ALL of my furniture, and follow our agreement (the reason I hired them), charging me at the end of the move, and placing the furniture in the proper place. They ran my card through a tablet and asked for a signature. The only screen I was shown was a line to sign. When I paid, I received computer generated receipt- printed the date of my move (prior to moving and my initials/signature) that I had NEVER be provided with or seen with the original form. I showed them an oil spot to avoid so they wouldnt track it into the apartment (they ignored me and got oil all over the carpet). I showed them were the furniture and labeled boxes would go and instructed them not to assemble the beds or washer/dryer (I would do all of that). Greg previously agreed they would place the furniture in the designated places (that did not happen). I was told unloading was faster than loading, but they took so long, Greg called and instructed them to dump the remainder of my possessions (about half) into the parking lot (not the apartment). After having some time to think about the matter, if I could do it over, I would have called the police to charge them with theft of my property when they seized my property and held it hostage.

I would give 0 if I could. The "man" running the Dixie branch should be fired. He pushes his workers to their breaking points. No breaks and seriously expects them to have NO days off. You have to wear your hair a certain way depending on your race. If youre too tired to work hell say youre on drugs or LAZY. What kind of boss is that? Tells his workers when someone gets sent home because their EXHAUSTED that they better not get in that trend and always think theyre going to get out of work and to not tell anyone that it even happened because the man almost wrecked a work truck WITH the crew, theyre HUMANS. They dont clock in or out but are EXPECTED to be there at 6:30AM but the jobs dont start until after 8 and thats when the workers pay starts? Then they work FIFTEEN HOURS STRAIGHT and how is that REALLY all accounted for when the office closes and no one is there to document when everyone is getting done with the jobs. They work them until 2, 3, 4 in the morning and seriously expect them to be back at 6:30, ready to bust tail for another countless unpaid hours. Not to mention the getting paid HALF for the drives to and from? Promises of time and a half just to BRIBE people to work and then you DONT pay them what you promised! And as for the business part, hes a SCAM ARTIST. You call and he gives you a "quote" of a reasonable moving price and then when his workers (as they are told to) pack all of your things into their trucks and once that lock is placed on you must pay the price he then gives you (which is usually double if not triple) of what they told you initially. Priced an elderly woman at $400 because she wanted to keep it in a budget and then when they put the lock on it became $1,200! And when it came down to it she called crying and he said he "accidently" charged her for the workers lunch hour. He gets people EVERY day and his workers work SO hard for these people moving and get told that theyre going to get tipped but when he over charges them, it makes the customer angry and no one gets anything BUT HIM! Its enraging on how he treats his workers and customers. Ive already sent something to the BBB and will continue until something is done. Clearly hes been doing this for a lot longer than he should have. This place needs to be shut down. Workers health arent being taken into consideration AT ALL, its all about the money for them. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND WORKERS LIKE NOBODIES!!!! The Dixie Branch ESPECIALLY!!!!! OVER PRICED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

I seriously wish I could give this place zero stars. Lets start from the beginning shall we? I initially called for a quote and to see if they would do an afternoon move. They quoted me $159 an hour and said that an afternoon would be no problem. Considering I was only moving 1.5 miles I figured that I could get this done in 2 hours and only be out $318 so I scheduled the move with them for Friday afternoon. They called me on Wednesday to schedule the time and I told them 5pm. The gentlemans response was "oh, that late?" to which I replied, "yes, is that going to be a problem?". He assured me that it would be fine and comfirmed my move for Friday at 5pm. Friday at 12:30 they called and asked if they could go ahead and come now. I told them that I wasnt availble until 5pm so they told me that they couldnt "get anyone to stay that late" and that "I needed to understand that he cant pay his guys to sit around waiting for me for 5 hours". As pissed off as this made me I went ahead and took their offer of rescheduling the move for Saturday at noon. On Saturday at noon they were a no show so I waited about half an hour and called them to see what was going on and they said they were finishing up another move and would be on their way soon. An hour goes by and I call them again and they tell me that they will be there by 2. At 2pm they called me and said they were about half an hour away so my 12 oclock move didnt start till 2:30. The movers smelled like weed and were very unprofessional. They mustve taken about 10 smoke breaks, they took personal phone calls, and 1 employee even stopped what he was doing to snap chat a truck pull. They charged me extra for supplies they didnt even use. And ended up charging me for going 7 mins over the 2 hour mark which probably would have been avoided had they not taken all those personal breaks during the move. In the end my $318 move ended up costing me $720 because oh, they also tacked on a travelers fee and a gas surcharge that they didnt mention. Though I can understand the surcharge for the gas, I do not understand the $159 travel fee when we only traveled 1.5 miles!!!!! Moral of the story, DONT HIRE ALL MY SONS. Clearly not only do they have terrible customer service but they are clearly crooks as well.
