After my GM SUV left us stranded on our way for family vacation in Louisville, I had it towed to Dr Zoom based on AAA reviews and BBB accreditation. It is always a roll of the dice when you are in unfamiliar territory and you really depend on the good faith, honesty and trustworthiness of a repair shop. My experience was great as I found Dr Zoom to perform a very thorough vehicle diagnostic for the root cause and for other items that they informed me about. Their work was great and they knocked it out of the park to go the extra mile in order to finish the vehicle on time upon my return from Florida. They achieved the quoted price (which was very reasonable, especially compared to dealer "book rate") and they documented everything in a VERY THOROUGH fashion on my bill of work. As a very picky Mechanical Engineer, i can definitely say Dr Zoom (specifically Carl & Steve) were great to work with, were honest and communicated well and answered all my questions. The vehicle has been working great....Cost, Quality and Delivery achieved!

Very unprofessional phone experience yesterday. I have met the owner and they did good work on my 350Z in the past. I thought the owner was top notch. I found my future mechanic. The left rear shock on my daughters car broke at the top bracket. I picked up the original equipment from Mazda and was going to replace it myself. After pulling the wheel off, I realized I could not get to bottom nut without it being on a lift. No problem, I put the wheel back on and will call for an estimate and take it in. I called Dr Zoom at about 6:30 on 6/21and told them the situation. The response from the individual that answered the phone was "You Fu$ked it up and you want us to fix it?" I was taken back by this to say the least. The estimate was $180 to replace the rear shocks. By the end of the conversation it was at a minimum of $180 and depending on what was Fd up could go up from there. Not sure who I spoke to. Somebody must have had a bad day. Continuing to look for my future mechanic.

My air/heat wasnt working last year. Took it to Dr. Zoom. Paid $1,900 to get it fixed. Picked it up and it still wasnt working. Said it would be anywhere from $500-$1,000 more to fix it. I would have never spent the original money if I knew it was going to be that much more. They got it set to heat and then I could switch it over to cold in the summer. A good temporary fix. Tried to get it switched to heat again today and now they cant get it switched. Told me they dont know until they take the dash apart what the problem is. Again, this should have been diagnosed the first time. I paid $1900 and still dont have it fixed. Plus I feel no compassion. I am so frustrated with them I cant even express. They could have had a lot of business from us too because we have 2 old cars.

I have been taking my automobiles to Dr. Zoom for 5 years, They have always been upfront with pricing, and they always try to find ways to keep the cost down. Once I was quoted a price for replacing the power window motor in my New Beetle, they quoted the price, I agreed. When I picked it up later, the price was much lower than quoted! They informed me when they got in there I didnt need the motor! They repaired the one I had. Many people would of charged anyway. I had my Jeep in the shop last Feb, (2013) and became ill. I had to go to Cleveland clinic. When they finished the repairs, they brought my Jeep home, and put it in the garage for me...Quality, Experience, Dedication, All these assets can be found at Dr. Zoom

HIGHLY recommend! Honest, timely, and have your well being in mind. I rely on my person car for work and drive about 500miles a week. It is imperative to me that all the crew at Dr. Zoom can schedule my repairs and execute them in a timely manner. I am able to plan for when the work is being performed and they have completed the work one time every time. Its never fun shelling out the money for serious car repairs, but I wouldnt trust anyone else at this point. Not to mention Joes time in the Marines saved our company a HUGE bill helping me repair our diesel generator.

Well, he did it again! I broke down in Shelbyville, KY. Explained what happened to Joe and went on about my morning. Did my Shelbyville presentation, hitched a ride back to my car, had it towed to Dr Zoom. Joe had the part there and within 2 hours I was out the door and back to doing my presentations in Shelbyville again. Oh and I was able to work in his waiting room while waiting for my car to be repaired. It was a very pleasurable experience for a headache kind of thing. I like when people turn a negative into a positive and thats exactly what they did.

We found Dr. Zoom a couple of years ago and are very satisfied with our choice. They have several knowledgeable and reliable auto mechanics to take care of all of our family vehicles. So far they have been able to fix every issue encountered with all of our cars, and they are honest and have very reasonable prices to boot. My experience has been that they wont sell me something that is not necessary. They also have very flexible hours, so taking my car before or after work is not a problem.

Joe at Dr.Zoom is the most honest mechanic I have EVER met. I have absolutely no concern when I take my or a family members car to him that I will receive the best care for our vehicles. Joe is a Marine (you are never an ex Marine as he says....) and I have the utmost respect for our servicemen. You never have to question him or his work. He stands behind all work done at his shop and I will never take a vehicle I own anywhere else. He is truly a man of his word.

I will not let another mechanic touch my Tatianna (My Mazda 6). Joe is the best ever. I always feel he is honest with me on pricing and can usually diagnose my problems from what I tell him is going on before he even checks it out. I have sent several people to them and everyone I have sent say the same thing I do. If you want to go to a mechanic knowing you are in goods hands and with an honest person who wont rip you off, then Zoom Doctor is the place to go!!!
