In July 2014 my home was listed with Louisville, KY RE/MAXProperties East. My experience was a costly failure due to the realtor assigned to me. Jeff Hurst, overpriced the listing on my home. Failure to sell followed. I asked him to lower the price as the closing on my new home was approaching. His method was to lower the price in small increments every day. It took over a month to get the price lowered and I objected to his methods but he refused to listen. His response was always that he was a top realtor. I lost the opportunity to sell my home during the prime selling time in the summer. By September I was panicked. I needed the cash from the sale to purchase my new home without a mortgage. I asked to be released from my contract. Harrell Tague and Paula Colvin , managers, backed up Mr. Hurst at first. Finally after a week or two negotiating with them they reassigned Sharon Tryon as my realtor. She was terrific. She staged my home, had a professional photographer take pictures and set an appropriate price. (none of these were done by Mr. Hurst). The house sold quickly. However, this time delay resulted in my having to take out a mortgage. I estimate this situation cost me at least $20,000. Mr. Hurst said I was responsible for his overpricing the house. Ridiculous! I came to him to be advised on pricing. I know now that an appraisal of the property could have negated an offer. He knew this and his high ego and lack of listening skills resulted in my financial loss. I do not know why his managers supported him at first. Realtors are service providers. They need to listen to their client and advise them politely and correctly. I know Remax East has good realtors. This review is to advise sellers to be careful who represents them. I do highly recommend Sharon Tryon but a thumbs down on Jeff Hurst.

My fiance and I just bought a house on August 26, 2016. Our realtor was Jeff Hurst. My fiance and I both cannot express how grateful we were to have Jeff as our realtor. This is our first home and we both had no idea what all was involved with buying a home. Jeff made the process very smooth and easy for us. He first called and asked us the areas we were interested in and our price range. We provided him the information and within hours we were set up to begin our search. This allowed information to be e-mailed to us directly which saved us time so that we didnt have to spend the time researching sites ourselves. The best part about having Jeff Hurst as our realtor was how quickly he responded to calls and text messages, and in todays market we found time was of the essence. Anytime we needed him he was there to answer all of our questions. For first time home buyers it is important to have a top realtor who is very knowledgeable in his field and I can say with the utmost confidence that Jeff fits that description. I would definitely refer him to anyone that is interested in buying or selling a home. We certainly hope to be able to call him again should we decide to buy or sell in the future.

LACK PROFESSIONALISM and SIMPLE COURTESY! Bill Myer of RE-MAX contacted my Realtor to show my house over the holidays. ...He called at 8:30 AM and wanted to show at noon. I left work to help my wife get all the opened Christmas gifts in order, clean the house, and get our small children out of the house. We left for a few hours. Bill Myer never showed up and didnt even call our Realtor to let us know he wasnt coming. My Realtor called him and he wouldnt answer his phone. He obviously doesnt care what a seller goes through to prepare their house for sale. I expect that there are much better choices of Realtors out there. Proceed with Extreme Caution if you plan to work with him.

My wife and I have been extremely happy with RE/MAX Properties East. We have used Jeff Hurst to buy and sell 2 of our homes. He has been nothing but professional and honest each time. He was extremely prompt in communicating with us whenever we had a question or there was activity on our listing. He made the home selling and buying process simple and easy. We were absolutely happy with his knowledge and ease in which he made the entire process. We wouldnt have returned to use his services over a 10 year span if he was not wonderful to have as an agent. I would recommend him in a second to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

Jeff Hurst was wonderful as the agent who advertised and sold our home in Louisville< KY. He worked long and hard hours for us. He had open Houses and he showed our home to many people. even with the hard times the market was having he encouraged us to stay positive and he used his marketing skills to get our house sold. He was there to answer the calls if the alarm would go off and his method of changing our asking price worked for us. I thank Jeff for his diligence and his expertise as a realtor. We was able to sell our home and we will and have recommended him to other buyers or sellers. Thank you Jeff. Kenneth W. Hicks

Jeff Jones made finding our home very easy. After a few questions he was quickly able to suggest houses in our price range that interested us. His knowledge of the area and pricing was quite impressive. Since this was our first time purchasing a home we had a ton of questions and Jeff was always patient and helpful. We found our dream home and it was a great experience.

I and my wife Abeer would like first to thank Jeff Jones for everything he did. Hes an outstanding agent (searching, contacting, suggestions, availability....etc). I highly recommend him especially for 1st time buyer as were. Although, we spent almost 5 months for searching but at the end we ended up buying a beautiful house in a very nice neighborhood. Thanks Jeff.

The company maintains a consistent training program that ensures that every agent employs the latest in real estate marketing techniques, and the agents take advantage of that training. They have highly specialized buyers & sellers agents to take care of you.

I spoke with Carole B Williams about viewing a property. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I called another time to find out if they could manage one of my rental properties. The guy was extremely rude and nasty! I would not deal with a company who employs people like this.

Jeff Jones was our agent when we purchased our home. We found Jeff to be a consummate professional. His knowledge of real estate and all the "ins and outs" was impressive. We would have no problem recommending him to our friends.

This company employs cutting edge technology to help their clients find a home or market their home but they still find time to offer that personal touch. This is the only company to use in the Louisville area.

Avoid Steve Smith like the plague. The house we bought from him was a former rental property of his. He said he gutted it and updated everything. All work done on the house is sloppy, much of it does not meet code.
