Im a fairly easygoing person and it is not in my nature to complain, but I feel this needs to be made aware of. To begin, I live in the Riverchase apartment complex across the steet from this post office and lead a busy schedule that doesnt allow me to be home very often. I often shop online and, typically, packages are sent here when they will not fit in our mailbox at the complex. However, USPS has been known to leave large packages out in the open outside our apartment door - unbeknownst to us for hours at a time - thus prompting theft when they should instead be taken to the post office. Yesterday I was supposedly delievered a package but did not find one upon returning home from work. The woman at the post office was adamant that mail carriers "would never drop something off unattended outside a door." But this has happened twice in the past, once with a soundbar shelf and another time with signed band merchandise Id been mailed. Luckily neither of those was stolen, but please be made aware that your mail carriers ARE in fact leaving things delivered openly unattended. My other issue is that when carriers take things to the post office, we are typically notified via a pink paper slip left in our mailbox. I have had items waiting for me at the post office - again, unbeknownst to me - for weeks at a time because they had happened to be "out of pink slips" and I only found out theyd been delivered when I finally walked over there to inquire about it in person. Im not sure if I will end up finding or recovering my package that was supposedly delivered to me yesterday; as it was not taken to the post office, I can only assume the carrier mistakenly delivered it to neighbors, or it was left out in the open and then stolen whilst I was away at work all day. Wish me luck - but people expecting to receive packages in both my complex, and in the Newport area - beware.

This post office has the most incompetent people working for it. I had a package that left a sorting center yesterday at 4 am on Vine Street in Cincinnati... For a trip that should have taken an hour max, it didnt arrive at the Newport post office until this morning at 9am.. Thats more than 24 hours later. I called for 3 hours straight yesterday and not a single person was capable enough to answer the phone. I also currently have a package that is on a truck for delivery... Guess what, I watched the post man drive out of my complex as I pulled in from work only to find that my package was never delivered. He left with it still on his truck. Lucky me, that package contains a dress I need tomorrow at 9am. I am highly disappointed in the lack of service and abilities of the people who work at this specific location. I have never had such a miserable, inconvenient experience with any shipping carrier and I worked in logistics for years. The managers who hire these workers need to take a serious look at the quality of people they are hiring because the ones they currently have working for them are the most incapable, incompetent, skill lacking people I have ever dealt with. If you can avoid having a package go through this location, I would highly recommend it because it will be nothing but a headache and waste of time. If you cant do your job right, find a different one.

Not a bad post office in general, but I do wish they had a self-service station. Also, there is an employee there named Mary who is extremely LOUD and does everything too quickly, which can (and does) lead to mistakes. If she didnt work there, I would be much happier to go.

Didnt catch her name but young lady working there wasnt rude and disrespectful, she didnt help at all and just had an attitude about everything. Careful going there needing help on a Monday.
