I called to make an appointment for a gel nail polish change. Change only, not a manicure. I was very specific and when I made the appointment, the person on the phone was positive that it would cost $25.00. I asked a couple of times because I usually pay $20.00 at another salon. My appointment was for 12:45 p.m., and I was called back at 1:00 p.m. which was fine because I know that people get behind. Shawn soaked my nails for at least 10 minutes, four times!! I have never had to have them soaked that much. Every time he wanted them soaked, he would leave, come back, scrape the polish off, soak again and then leave. This was nearly an hour into the appointment and he still wanted to soak them. Then I was there for another hour so he could polish them. When I finally get to the counter, the charge was $45.00 plus a $5.00 fee because they said it was not their nail polish. I told the attendant Kylie that I will not being paying that and explained the appointment phone call. There was no manager and she called the Ashley Ridge location and spoke to someone whom told her that I would have to pay. She advised that she would HOLD my card and not charge it until the owner, Kim Anderson, called me to discuss this. That was Friday and my card was charged $45.00 Tuesday without my authorization, a signature or a phone call from Kim Anderson. I have disputed this charge with my bank and I will NEVER visit this salon again, nor will anyone that I know.

I am more disgusted than upset by spa concepts. I am a college student with a crazy schedule working 3 jobs to pay for school and have next to no money, and all I wanted was the nice treat of a relaxing massage. I went in and talked to the therapist (Tangela) telling her it was my first massage and she told me instead of my 30 minute sport massage I should go with a Swedish. I explained that I only had a certain amount of money on me and she assured me that this massage would cost $10 less than the one that I had booked, of course I agreed at this point shes the therapist she should know what shes talking about, right? So she went to the front desk and changed it. I finished my massage and went to pay at the front desk and it was $30 more than what I had been told!!! I was in shock, I almost wanted to cry. I tried explaining the situation to the owner and she ended up saying that if I didnt pay that they would call the cops even though it was obviously their mistake. She said "You were in there for an hour" who looks at the clock when they are getting a massage?!?! Looking back now I wish I would have let her call the cops so I could have reported them for FRAUD! I definitely wont be going back or recommending this excuse of an establishment to anyone. Also I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. DONT WAST YOUR TIME THEY ARE A SCAM!

THIS WAS MY FIRST SPA EXPERIENCE AND I WAS LOOKING FOWARD TO IT. A COUPLE OF MY FRIENDS AND I BOOKED IT FOR A GIRLS DAY OUT ON 5-29-10. FIRST OF ALL WE DID NOT GET OUR MASSAGES, SPA PEDICURE, AND SPA MANICURES AT THE SAME TIME . SECONDLY, I WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE AND SO I WAS EXPECTING TO BE JUST DEEPLY RELAX AFTWARDS BUT NO I HAD MORE TENSION AFTER THE MASSAGE THAN BEFORE I CAME IN- MY SPA MANICURE AND PEDICURE WAS A TOTAL JOKE MY FEET FELT ROUGHER AFTER THE PEDICURE THAN THEY WERE BEFORE AND THE PERSON WHO DID MY NAILS DID NOT WANT TO DO MY CUTICLES- HE SAID IF I DO THEM THEN THEY WILL BE UGLY SO I AM JUST GOING TO TAKE 5.00 OFF YOUR BILL THEN WHEN HE PAINTED MY NAILS HE SPLASHED NAIL POLISH ON ME AND DID NOT WIPE IT UP, THEN SMUDGE MY NAILS AND DID NOT EVEN TRY TO REPAIR IT. BUT HE MADE SURE TO TELL ME THEY DO ACCEPT TIPS. HERE IS A TIP YOU NEED TO DO A BETTER JOB WHETHER I COME IN THERE ONCE A MONTH OR EVERY WEEK THIS IS NO WAY TO KEEP PEOPLE COMING BACK AND NO I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE IT WAS A WASTE OF OUR MONEY AND TIME-THANKS FOR NOTHING SPA CONCEPTS!

I have been going here for 4 years, and after the experience I had today I will never return. I paid over $50 for a spa pedicure and the polish started chipping after only 5 days. Anyone who has ever gotten a pedicure knows that the polish shouldnt chip after only 5 days especially when you always wear open toed shoes so the polish is never rubbing on anything. Ive also never had this issue before. Then, they gave me a hard time about having it fixed even after I said I would pay for the nail repair. It seemed to me that the nail techs just didnt want to waste their time on only a $4 nail repair service. The customer service I received today was horrible. I am incredibly disappointed in the entire experience so Ill find somewhere else to get a pedicure from now on. Dont waste your money here!!

I visited family in Shreveport over the holidays and stopped into Spa Concepts for services. My haircut was fantastic. The stylist recommended a cut that made me look younger and that was better than I get at home. I also got a manicure and pedicure. The technicians were very professional and made my hands and especially my feet look and feel rejuvenated. I liked the paraffin wax a lot. I finished with a 90 minute deep tissue massage and it was one of the best Ive had in a long time. The therapist worked out my knots and completely unstressed every muscle in my body. If I lived in Shreveport, I would go here all the time. It was comparable to spas I visit in California and the price was a lot less. Great services, professional staff, nice ambiance.

I have also been to many day spas and this one was by far the worst as far as customer service. I tried several times to make an appointment and the system they used was always down ( no let me take down your info and I'll get back to you). Finally when I did set up an appointment I unfortunately had to reschedule and was in the 24 hr window of you can't reschedule. The very rude lady on the phone let me know that but the person I scheduled with never informed me of this policy. Finally giving up on scheduling a service I went to use a gift card at the store. No hi how are you or can I help you. Just people looking down at computers and talking on phones. I will never recommend this spa to any of my friends or family.

SPA CONCEPTS MANAGES TO MAINTAIN THE LATEST PROCEDURES, TECHNIQUES, AND EQUIPMENT IN A DOWN TO EARTH, POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE. IVE HAD VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCES THERE. ISAIAH, MY STYLIST, IS TOPS IN HIS FIELD. HE IS WELL EDUCATED AND STRIVES FOR EXCELLENCE, AS DOES MISS KIM, THE OWNER OF SPA CONCEPTS. I FIND HER PARTICULARLY APPROACHABLE AND PERSONABLE, AND LIKE ISAIAH, ALWAYS CONCERNED FOR THE CLIENTS HAPPINESS AND SATISFACTION. I AM A BIT OF A PERFECTIONIST SO WHEN I CHOOSE A BUSINESS TO WORK WITH, I AM GOING WITH THE BEST. NO DOUBT, I FOUND THAT HERE.
