Howard Plumbing: honest, efficient, hard working, great communication, and high quality of service. Howard Plumbing is great! They have done several jobs at my house including a full scale bathroom remodel that took a half bath and made it full bathroom with a standing shower. The quality of the work on the conversion was top notch, and highly professional. Pat (the company owner) did all the plumbing work on his own, including complicated work that required new plumbing lines and ground breaking. The work was timely (finished ahead of schedule), and the cost was much lower than if we would have went with a larger company. I personally feel the quality of the work exceeds anything I have seen from some of the older and more established names in the game in the Annapolis/Arnold area. Another thing that is great about Howard Plumbing is the level of communication from the company; they make sure that you understand what they are doing, and why they are doing it. There are no surprises or hidden costs; Pat and his staff are honest, hardworking, and trustworthy. We actually gave him a key to the house because we trusted him so much, which we would not have done with another company. From small jobs to large-scale work this company should be your first choice for a plumber in the MD/DC/VA area. The owner is young and eager to build his client base so you will be treated like his only customer even if he just has to turn a wrench for five minutes. If you want top notch work that is done quickly, and for a great price then call Howard Plumbing. You will become a lifelong customer after you see how well you are treated and how great their work is.

The first time I met Patrick from Howard Plumbing he was working at a neighbors and I told him about the problem I was having and he came over as soon as he had a minute to spare. He listened to my problem, checked out the problem and gave me an estimate and we scheduled an appointment. He and his hard working crew arrived on time, did the digging by hand and were careful of the shrubs and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. I was so pleased with his professionalism and knowledge that I knew I would always call him whenever I had a plumbing problem. Another thing that makes him a great businessman is his patience in listening to questions and answering in a way that someone without any knowledge of plumbing can understand. I know I can trust Howard Plumbing to do right by me and that is very rare in this day and age.

The work performed was satisfactory. I was not informed of the initial hour fee of $160.00 and this was upsetting to me. Especially with a part cost of less than $50.00. After speaking with them in detail about the work performed and this fee, a reduction in the total bill was made. I was also informed of a 4% CC fee when I inquired as to how to make a payment. I didnt expect a fee and was not happy that they choose to pass this fee of doing business on to their customers. I did receive a call from them discussing these matters in detail and the 4% fee was waived. I did appreciate how they dealt with my frustration personally, but feel that initial costs and fee should be given up front, not when the customer asks. I would rate them higher if this was based solely on quality of work.

This is a completely biased review. Patrick Brinson, the master plumber and owner of Howard Plumbing is my husband. We have been together for seven years and I have never seen him so passionate about anything in his life as he is this business. From the start he works to provide real customer service (the old one-on-one type of customer service we havent seen from most companies in years). He stays up at night if he thinks a customer may be the least bit unhappy (which although very rare, I think conveys a lot to). Howard Plumbing with Patrick behind it is the one of the few companies I see that is fair, kind and caring. I think that his customers agree.

2nd plumber I called for a bathtub that wouldnt drain. First plumber said $350 to cut an access panel in the wall, find the blockage, then cut out and replace the pipe. Patrick answered call in a pinch, showed up as scheduled (early, in fact), and got to work right away on a bathtub that wouldnt drain. This man knows his stuff: the trap was frozen, he said. He predicted block would clear as soon as the weather warmed up (2-3 days). It cleared in 2 hours, and saved me a bunch of money. Would use again in a second if I need another plumber (hopefully never!).

I just had Howard Plumbing come out to service the leaking backflow pump for my irrigation system. I called them, set up the appointment, and sent them with a photo of the leaking backflow pump. They showed up on time with a new backflow pump and promptly replaced and tested the new unit. Patrick also took the time to tell me what was wrong with the unit and why it had to be replaced. This is the first time I have used Howard Plumbing to do work on my home here in Annapolis, but I will sure call them again when its time to remodel my bath. Thanks Pat!

Called on a Sunday morning BEFORE 8am, left a message. Tim called back, listened to my issue, told me he would be there within an hour AND HE WAS. Offered to lookup the warranty status on the water heater unit as I wasnt familiar with it. Gave me options on brands for replacement and scheduled to have the water heater unit installed AM next business day. Will use again, polite, prompt.

Great work, fast arrival. I had an unfortunate sewage backup in my house on Memorial Day 2012 at 5:00 at night. I called Patrick at Howard Plumbing LLC and he was at my house at 7:00 pm clearing my sewer line, on Memorial Day! He was very knowledgeable and his prices were extremely fair, especially for coming on a holiday. I would recommend him to everyone.
