They installed a new water softener and tank for us when ours quit. They offered us a rent-to-own type deal on the softener where we paid a monthly fee until it was paid off. However, when I looked to see how much we still owed on it, the number on the invoice was WAY higher than what I had calculated should still be left to pay. I called to figure out the discrepancy, and come to find out, they were charging us this huge monthly fee that essentially equaled out to about 40% interest per month! The worker I spoke to explained that this was in the contract. I looked all over and said I didnt see anywhere on the paper we had signed that there was this huge monthly fee tacked on. She said, "Its on the backside". We had no idea there even was a backside! Our signature was on the front! This was really shady to me. My husband and I felt totally taken advantage of. We were livid. Had we paid outright for the water softener with a credit card, we would have had a lower interest rate. Seriously. At first, we thought these people were nice and a small town business, but when you put fine print on the back of a contract where no one thinks to look for it, that is shady.

Shout out to Mid-Atlantic. Called them for a second opinion on our water treatment system after company #1 gave us sticker shock on replacing our treatment system and company #2 was a no-show and didnt return our calls. We had originally given company #1 a shot after theyd done a decent job on installing a new pressure tank for our well system. Mid-Atlantic sent someone out less than an hour after I called them. After checking our situation out, he agreed with the original assessment but quoted us a new system at 25% less than company #1. Mid-Atlantic came back the very next day and did all the work in a quiet, respectful and professional manner, then gave me a thorough overview of the system. They also highlighted some problems that company #1 should have noticed when they put in the pressure tank. Mid-Atlantic also checked their prices and pointed out that company #1 had over-charged us by hundreds of dollars on the water pressure tank. Needless to say Im sticking with Mid-Atlantic moving forward. Thanks!

Mid Atlantic sent sales rep Guy Minovitz to my house in Cape Saint Claire. He was knowledgeable and informative. Conducted a water test and discussed with me the results and options available. First time in my 50 years, this was sales without pressure or expected results. He explained everything well. I believe Mid-Atlantic values its customers and Guy Minovitz exemplifies that.
