Pete is incredibly rude and nasty! I was told that my vehicle was going to be ready in 3 days for pickup; It was not, it ended being over 10 days. The reason being is that he did NOT start work on it until after day 5, stating lame and unprofessional excuses. I requested to be updated on the status, and he refused to call me. I called him each and every time. Every conversation he was rude, brushed me off, was flippant, and belittling. After I informed him that he was in fact, rude and nasty, he hung up on me...a paying customer that in 2 different appointments, had given Classic Car almost 2 thousand dollars worth of work. When I finally picked up my vehicle, thats when the unprofessionalism hit an all-time low. My car was dead. They left a couple lights on, and my vehicle needed to be jumped (not by Pete, another employee). This employee, while smoking, placed not one, but TWO jumper cables onto my battery to jump it. When I questioned him, he stated that it would give my vehicle "extra juice" so I could make it all the way home (an hour and a half away). I thought it was odd, but Im no mechanic. Finally the battery was charged when I noticed the entire inside of my car was filthy with grease and muck. It was deplorable. I was so angry that I just wanted to go home. Upon leaving, I noticed my steering wheel was making a scrapping sound when I turned and the wheel was lopsided. I took the vehicle back, and Pete was incredibly rude when I questioned the issue. He told me that they didnt place the clips back properly and fixed it without apologizing. I informed him of the complete dirty state of the vehicle, including the windshield that was covered in finger and oily head prints. He looked at me like I was nuts. I ended up stopping at a gas station to clean the windshield so I could drive home safely. On the way home, my cd player started ejecting nonstop without a cd in it. I couldnt get it to stop, even with the stereo turned off. Then when I arrived at home to pick up my children, I noticed the sliding door no longer worked on the drivers side rear passenger. It was stuck shut. I called Pete the next day to inform him of all the issues, and he told me I could bring it back up to be looked at, but it would be on my dime because there is no way he can tell that the door/cd player wasnt like that prior. I was so angry. I yelled at him, and he hung up on me. I ended up taking the vehicle somewhere else to replace the battery, and alerted the new mechanic of the door/cd player. He told me that the were short circuited because of the double jumper cables. It was like a huge power surge. To top it off, he noticed that the plastic piece underneath my windshield wipers was severely cracked, which wasnt before. Classic Car had to take out my dash to fix the problem and cracked it. AVOID this place at all costs! Especially Pete. He doesnt give a crap about his customers and is a complete and utter horses butt! The most unprofessional man I have ever met; he truly should be ashamed of himself! @Robert Gelinas: My experience with Pete and Classic Car is NOT false. You may have had a good experience with them, but I didnt. My review was based on my circumstances, for which you werent privy to. Im not claiming your experience was false, so I would appreciate it if you werent so rude in to saying mine was. I have 2 witnesses to how awful he was to me, including an employee at FreedomCar. But, you go ahead and think Pete is aces, that says a lot about your character.

This review is a couple years overdue but better late than never. An expedition backed into the driver side corner panel of my G35 coupe. The wheel well was smashed in requiring me to drive on the donut and the entire rear quarter panel needed to be replaced. The owner wanted to settle without involving the insurance (but we ultimately went with insurance) and out of 5 places, Classics was the lowest estimate. Pete and his entire staff do FANTASTIC work. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. My G35 was restored to pristine condition and even a guy at CarMax said the weld job was spot on. Pete told me that he doesnt fix the car himself through the entire process but he will touch your car at some point. He told me he painted my car and it looks factory. Great job, great place. Take your car here for repair, you WONT be disappointed. P.S. My fiancee just took her BMW there. It looks GREAT!

Getting my car back into drive able condition was made easier and less financially painful by this shop. I was dealt with professionally and there is clearly experience and thoroughness that goes into the work. I had a slightly cheaper quote from another shop but I felt far more comfortable using Classic Car to get the job done with their experience and the itemized estimate. The only hiccup was at the end when the total was significantly higher than the estimate due to the extent of damage, however after they realized I was never informed as the repairs were being made they reduced the price back to the original estimate right there. I definitely plan on going back for any future needs.

I was nervous because I was sent by the offending cars insurance co. (state farm), but was really pleased with Classic Cars. Peter is really nice and thorough. They fixed my car pretty slowly, but he was very honest about it and it was mainly due to a part being brought in wrong three separate times. They never made up excuses or lied about the timeline, which I truly appreciated. I brought the car back when something small hadnt been fully fixed, and they took care of it right then and there. They also cleaned and vacuumed my car to the point where it looked new! They are really great- family run business and do a good job.

Pete, Pete, Pete...where do I start? I just got off of the phone with Peter and may I say this was the worse experience ce Ive had with a "Classic Car Specialist"?! Pete not only interrupted EVERY sentence of mine, he also made rude, sarcastic comments testing both my knowledge and education level.. I called asking if he could help me diagnose one situation with my 1973 vehicle and he basically told me to f*** off..then he hung up on me when I thanked him anyway like the gentleman I am...nice going Peter!

I ve been living in Baltimore for 4 years now, Someone hit my rear in 2008 and her insurance sent me to this little shop, called Classic Car Shop, I accepted it given the proximity from home. I have to say I couldnt be more pleased. Both Pete and his employees are gentlemen, they will make you the best price and treat you like a human being, unlike most other places. They sure know their car parts and how to make them shine again. Im going back there again in a few hours.

I have been coming to Classic Car before it was "Classic Car" for years and the owner, Pete, is top notch. His staff and mechanics are very competent, easy to get along with and they do great work. Classic Car stands behind their work and if there is a probelm, just bring it back. I never have had a problem with this shop and i can not say the same for other car repair places. You wont go wrong with dealing with this company.
