Really wanted to love this place. Everyone was friendly and polite and the cut and blow dry were fine. But the fact of the matter is that I paid $255 and did not get what I wanted at all. I came in with faded silver hair that I wanted dyed darker to titanium and my roots grown out about an inch to be touched up as well. I brought a set of extensions in the color I wanted and had also asked to have them blended to match with my hair (but at the end of my appointment my stylist was already rushing to get to his next customer) When I left, my hair was BRIGHT BLUE- (not even REMOTELY close to the color of the hair I brought in) my roots were light gray with a clear line where my older hair began since it was much darker. The old hair was dark blue at the top fading into a light blue at my roots? There is an extremely noticeable line between where my roots were bleached and my older hair begins and not only does the color go from dark to light but its really patchy. What had happened was, my stylist had run out of titanium dye and began using a mix of black and white throughout my hair. (???????) He seemed really adamant- often cross checking the hair as it processed and going back in with extra dye but it just didnt work. I noticed this as he began to blow-dry my hair (how when he picked up a strand it was like 4 colors) but everyone kept saying how gray and "just how I wanted" it was that I figured it must be the lighting where I was seated and that it was still wet that made the hair look darker and blue-er. After my blow-dry I was rushed to pay as he took his next customer and I went out to find a ATM to give a cash tip. When outside I realized in sunlight/bank light/any light my hair was extremely blue. Now, Im not a hair expert- and I know its hard to get a nice even tone when dying for gray hair (Ive done my roots titanium myself for 2 years now- I get that some blue will happen) but thats why I came to a professional to do it for me. Whats on my head looks like what an amateur could have done in a bathroom and for that kind of money- I am beyond disappointed. Ive since then washed my hair twice to try and get this blue dye off but it wont seem to budge either. I feel extremely embarrassed that the entire salon pretended it was just what I wanted and that I wasted so much money on this mess...

MUST GO!!!! :) Best Salon!!!!! My hair has not looked sooo good in a very long time!!! Hair cuts for me are very difficult because I have natural curls and so does my daughter. However our curl structure and texture are very different. Needless to say it is really hard to find a salon that gets it. I was able to easily express mine and my daughters hair concerns to Rachel and, with no hesitation, she understood and knew exactly what was needed for each of us. She is very personable which made for an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience. We left with, not only a positive hair transformation, but also with real advice to care for our hair and get the best out of our curls, that was actually beneficial, without a hollow product sales pitch. Spot on, Rachel was able to tell me what products I am already using that need to go and the type of product that would work best for my hair type and my daughters as well. All of the advise turned out to be surprisingly simple yet so true! The name, Crafted Hair, definitely says it all... each of our cuts are unique and "crafted" to fit our own personal style. 10 different people could have the same hair style and it will look different on each and every one of them. So it, naturally,would not look great on everyone. I can say with the utmost confidence that if 10 people wanting the same style came to this salon it would work & then some for each one because each would be sculpted personally to their unique look! Rachel Epstein Crafted Hair Studio is truly one of a kind and you will not find this quality of service and style anywhere else!!! :)

I have very fine, very straight hair. I like it to be platinum blonde, but am not too keen on the chemicals I used to use to get it that way. I always kept it short because the bleach would completely strip my delicate hair. To have long(er) hair has always been a dream of mine... Ive been going to see Rachael at Crafted Hair Studio for about a year and all I can say is, "Wow.". The organic treatment has brought my color to the most extreme platinum that I could never get with regular bleach products (and it doesnt stink like it, either). I have gotten so many compliments from random people -- even asking if it was natural, because getting dirty blonde/light brown hair to this shade of blonde has been a struggle for a lot of people. Because the color is organic, my hair is so much healthier and...I am able to grow it out! Wheeeee! Rachael is also superior when it comes to precision cuts. Because my hair is so straight and thin, the lines have to be extremely even. Her bob is perfection. No hairs out of place here ;) I also like when she razor-cuts my bangs to compliment the shape of my face. I always recommend to all my friends (and admirers) to visit Crafted Hair Studio for their next hair appointment. Thanks, Rachael! You ROCK!!

Crafted Hair Studio is a wonderful place to get your hair cut and colored. Today was my fourth time getting my hair cut and colored by Katie Elder. My hair is very fine and pin straight and I keep it above my shoulders---figuring out a cut is difficult as my hair goes flat very easily and gets mega greasy. Katie has a great understanding of hair and uses hand-painted highlights to 1) enhance my natural color; and 2) add a texture that gives my fine hair volume and texture. Katie has exceptional technical skills and gives me a haircut that is incredibly flattering. She uses an electric razor, scissors, and a straight razor to achieve a perfect cut. She recognizes that I work in a professional area and keeps my cut fun without being too edgy. Best of all, the cut always grows out beautifully and it looks good for many weeks after. The studio itself is great and the stylists are clearly all very close and work as a team. Each stylist pitches in to help another, and its a very collegial atmosphere where someone is always teaching someone a new technique or explaining why they are doing what theyre doing. I highly recommend it, and am so happy I found it!

I went in for a big chop about 4 months ago. I had curls down to my lower back and I decided I needed a bob. Needless to say I was SCARED “God, Oh God! Please let them do a good job!” and guess WHAT? Katie did an AMAZING job! I thought I would miss my really long hair (the length that I’ve had my whole life) and that I would probably cry but nope! I love having short hair and I love my new haircut! Katie was super helpful. She talked to me and explained everything she was doing while cutting. She also gave me a bunch of tips on how to style my hair. The rest of the staff were also amazing! From the receptionist, to the stylist in the next chair, to the shampoo girl, to even the other clients! I cannot say enough good things about Crafted. I’m returning soon to get another trim :)
