The tl;dr version: Below is my account of dealing with a package that UPS damaged and filing a claim. No matter how nice the store employees are, the claims process is obtuse and not customer friendly. They will do everything to pay as little as possible or get out of the claim altogether, and paying for insurance to them means nothing. Because of this I will be without the computer that I use for work (a $1800 system) for over a month, and out of pocket for hundreds of dollars. Save money by going with a company that will actually take care of your packages and who can understand your situation should an issue arise. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Its unfortunate that I have to give this one star, because my initial impression of this store was great. I was shipping a desktop computer across the country so I could continue working on my trip, and an employee there assured me that they knew how to pack these systems carefully and that since I had $1800 worth of insurance my package would get special handling. Cut to a few days later across the country and the package is wrinkled, dented, and gouged all over. There is also a huge black skid mark on it as well as marks that show something heavy was sitting on it. Upon opening the package the front end was shattered, the top and sides dented/scratched, and various internal components were twisted and bent. Submitting a claim was overly difficult, having to send 6 separate emails to get all the pictures they required under their file size limit. It took two days for the claim to process, and they admitted fault on their end. I was happy for a brief time, thinking I would get a timely replacement because I needed this system for the trip itself (a month long). I was told I couldnt repair it myself (I had built it) and that I needed a third party estimate. Then they would need to make a ruling on that estimate, and once that had been done it would take 7-10 business days to mail a check. The repairs itself would need funds up front, and another 7-10 days to order parts. Altogether I would be lucky to have the system back before I had to return home, and ship it again. The store owner also said that depending on the size of the estimate that UPS may dispute it and want a vendor they prefer to look at it, again delaying the repairs for a system I use for work. I asked corporate what was the point of paying for insurance and declaring a value if you arent willing to pay for it, and why is your mistake my headache? I have not received an answer.

Awful service, extremely expensive, refuses to ship out on our company UPS account so that they can jack up the price on us. Terrible, terrible store. Do not use! Based on other reviews, I guess they are alright if you only ship things very occasionally, but if you ship things every day like I do, they will charge you an arm and a leg while giving you a lot of attitude. There are much better alternatives to this store in Bel Air, who will actually try to save you money and give you very good customer service. Our company tries to avoid using this store at all costs, but since they have the latest pick up in town, we are sometimes forced to go there. We now will sit and wait for the driver and deal with him directly rather than going in this store and dealing with the discourteous owner and her staff.

The owner and staff of this particular store have always provided polite, friendly, and efficient service. The other reviews which mention paying extra for supplies, perhaps dont fully appreciate the work and cost which goes into a business which handles such volume on a daily basis. If you want quick and thorough service from people who know what they are doing, then this is your go to store - it is for me. And, you may even leave with a smile!

I had to get my laptop sent back to my office in Virginia and needed to get it packed, properly and make sure that it arrive the next day. The girl told me that it would be no problem and she pulled the boxes and sent me on my way. It couldnt have been a simpler process. This is my 10th time shipping from this UPS Store and I know theyll be 10 more!!!

Rip off. I went to mail couple sheets of paper and asked for a flat rate type priority envelope to mail. She gave me a priority envelope for USPS and charged me 11.93!! When questioned said that charge a small fee for handling, small fee my fanny! If hadnt been in hurry would have told them where they could go. Never again!

This place is Awesome! I had to ship an item. I needed packing and a box. They weighed everything, I paid for it and they packed everything up very nicely for me. Defintely saved me alot of time and money. Love Ya UPS, keep it up!
