I needed to get a package out on a Saturday afternoon. I was running slightly late and called ahead to ask if the store might be able to stay open two or three minutes extra to accomodate me. I was told be Steve that he couldnt gaurantee it. I assured him it would not be more than three minutes late and that I was on the way. When I arrived, the clerk, presumably Steve, was in fact still in the store. When I walked in I asked if I could mail my package and was told by Steve "no, were closed". I dont have a problem with being told that the cutoff is 2:00. I even called ahead to check and was only told "I cant guarantee it". Had the clerk simply said that he wouldnt accept any packages after the posted closing time, he would have saved me a trip. Instead, I wasted my time trying to get there and was greeted rather rudely (the only thing said was "No, were closed"). How about something like "sorry, but Ive already closed out the register"? To make matters worse, someone was walking in as I was leaving the store. The woman who walked in was allowed to take care of her package. Because of the glass front in the store, it was rather obvious that the woman was completing her packaging and Steve stopped closing the cage security to the back of the store. It would seem that the strict "no, were closed" policy does not apply to everyone. A simple, two minute transaction would have saved me quite a bit of time in driving to La Plata. Instead, the Shipping Store elected to act rudely and preferentially. This is not a business that I will return to.

I was returning a receiver to Yamaha. The shipping was paid for by Yamaha but I did not have the original box. So I paid for the store to box it and then ship via ups. I asked to buy additional insurance due to the expense and the fact I didnt have the original box but was told I could not because I did not issue the shipping label. Well needless to say the unit received around 175 dollars in damage. UPS claims that it was insufficiently packaged. The repair depot wont begin to fix the unit till the shipping claim is resolved. The depot and the shipping store tell me they can not fight the claim because they did not issue the shipping label. I tried to talk with owner about the issue. His final words were I should have told him of any special shipping requirements. I just wanted the unit boxed up properly apparently they dont know how to do that. I was going to get my legal representative involved but he told me it would take forever and cost more than he damage was worth to run it through the court system. So beware. If you have a light item or you have packaged you item yourself you should be good. But dont trust there packing peanuts to get your item through.

Told lady that I wanted FEDEXs cheapest option. I even came in with a reusable envelope. She asked if I wanted next day. Again I said, "FEDEXs cheapest option". (Red flag one) She pulled a manila envelope (flag two) and mailed it USPS (flag 3) given it was 10 minutes before close, but I felt she rushed it the whole time. Lastly I asked once more because I saw it wasnt a FEDEX envelope, "How much is the overnight?" "about 30 dollars.", she replied. $30 bucks? she didnt even look it up. I know you work at a glorified post office, but take some damn pride in your work. People have gotten so lazy and dismissive like making them do their job is a hassle. Accountability is out the window. Avoid this place, maybe a real FEDEX or UPS store will replace it. Use Staples or Office max.

BEWARE, both at this and the Lexington Park store...customer will NOT be told upfront (in fact they may say its based on a zip code to hide the truth that they are actually taking you to the cleaners) about any SERVICE CHARGE this retailer adds to postage for services, and by services I mean they did nothing but take my money, no packing, the box was ready to ship, they simply measured and put on the label. Owner stated he has to pay rent! They added a 50% service charge that was not disclosed in plain language, print out your own label and drop it off!

They were very helpful getting a package to Mexico for me. After Fed EX misplaced it, they helped us get it back to their store and resent it UPS, at no extra charge to us and also without us having to come back in to re do the paperwork. It got there faster than even promised. Thanks to Lauren and Gary.

The workers were friendly HOWEVER the PRICES ARE INSANE. 2 day envelope shipped to Texas by Fedex costed me ($42) more than double what 1 day shipping costed me from Texas to here directly through Fedex last week.

Im using the shipping store to receive packages while we are in Solomons working on our boat. The staff has been great. Today they even helped me load my 9 very large boxes. Thats not part of their job.

My company has fed-exed items & had name badges & name plaques created. Both services were timely, the employees and owner are pleasant, and I would always bring my business back to them.
