Brought my newly acquired car here for the MD safety inspection in order to file for registration/tags. Initial inspection went quite smoothly, with a callback in about an hour (as promised). My car did not pass inspection on the first go around for minor issues (tint, tires, wiperblades) and was explained on what needed to be done. A week goes by and I was able to get the car up to MD safety specs and ready for the 2nd inspection. Since the follow-up inspection is free, I went back to C&D, even though it was slightly out of my way. I gave the shop a call and was told that the MD Safety Inspector was out the entire week for vacation, and he would be back the following Monday. I went ahead and asked to schedule an appointment for that Monday morning to get this done, but was told that was unnecessary and to just come by at 8AM. I get to the shop at 8AM on Monday with the inspector absent. The staff thought he was running late so encouraged me to stick around. At 9AM, the inspector calls the shop and has decided to take the day off. I requested that C&D send me to another inspector on their dollar since they were preventing me from passing my car, but they did not agree to this. Not having much choice in the matter, as I need to have this inspection done ASAP prior to my temp tags expiring, I drive 30 minutes the following day during my lunch break in order to catch the inspector for a 5 minute re-inspection. So now due to C&D delaying my car passing MD safety inspection, my registration and tags will be coming to me after the date my temp tags have expired. I will be reporting the shop to the ASED for negligence.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! Worst experience Ive ever had dealing with an auto body shop. I could write a really long drawn out review like a few of other people but ill keep it short. Basically I was told my car would take 3 days to repair, I had been in an accident and was using the other persons insurance company. The insurance company could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process and was left exhausted and frustrated with the auto body shop as much as i was. The auto body ended up finding more damage on the car then the initial estimate and needed to request more money from the insurance company and thats when things went terribly wrong. No one in the office seems to be able to use a computer, send an email, or respond to several phone calls in a timely manner. They took 10 days to provide the insurance company with the correct supplement and paperwork so they could pay them direct. They ended up having my car for 3 weeks! when they only needed to replace a bumper and headlight. The owner Howard could not be more unprofessional, rude, incompetent and downright unwilling to provide any sort of customer service. Not only did they not submit the paperwork on time, they held my car for 3 xtra days until the check arrived, even after the insurance company pleaded to release the car and show proof of payment. I am also stuck with a 260 dollar rental car bill because they took longer than the insurance companies policy on how many days i could have a rental car...PLEASE PLEASE to not give your business to C & D auto.

In my quest to find a Paint & Body shop to fix my vehicle, I stumbled across C&D in College Park MD. I would love to clarify why I said stumbled. I think that in most cases when you are involved in a car incident, so much of the process is just trying to right the wrong which had been done. My insurance company gave me the luxury of a choice to choose what paint & body shop i wanted to fix my vehicle. After several disheartening conversations with the paint & body shops that was on my list, I was just about to give up and suggest that my insurance company handle this aspect of my claim... For most of the shops I called gave me the impression that they were doing me a huge favor by me bringing my car there instead of honoring our encounter as a reciprocal event that required both parties to engage one another! When I called C&D in College Park, I had the pleasure of speaking with one of their employees name Mr. Gary Jarian. Mr. Jarian was instrumental in me arriving at the decision to have C&D Auto Body fix my vehicle. He was kind & considerate.... attentive & professional.... he quickly moved me through all of the vicissitudes and allowed me to focus on getting back to the normalcy of my life. Everything from getting my vehicle inspected to getting me a good deal on my rental car. Good looking out Mr. Jarian... To C&D Auto Body management, you guys should definitely give this young man Gary Jarian a raise...Very Satisfied Customer, Mr.George Daniels

First I would like to say for the bad review beneath me this is C & D Autobody not the separate establishment connected to it C & D Autoservice which is whom i believe you wrote your review about. I met Rafi Jarian and the C & D Auto Body team roughly 25 years ago when i took my 1970s Fiat which insurance deemed totaled to them. I have been using them ever since. Rafi and his crew are very well trained and very kind hearted people. They run the business with an old school feel where they actually care about the customer and price everything very fairly. I have taken over 5 vehicles to this shop of different makes and models over the last 25 years and they always come back to me looking like i walked them off the show room floor. I would recommend this shop to any and everyone because you know you will be treated like family the second you walk through the door and leave them your key. To the others complaining about pricing. Rafi and his team always give an estimate using OEM only parts through the dealer. All it takes is for you to ask for a quote using CAPA certified aftermarket and Im 100% sure his estimate will be the same as those other shops and the quality you will receive back will outshine anything they would have ever been able to do. -Ahmet Hanonu

The lack of respect for peoples time was the main issue with this establishment. In short, I called at 12pm yesterday to see when I could bring in my vehicle for a MD inspection. I was told be there at 1pm and the inspection would take 30 - 45 minutes (i.e. I would be done by 1:45pm). I arrived at 12:45 (to be early) and the owner took my keys and said that my vehicle would be ready in an HOUR and 15 minutes (30 minutes longer than promised). At 2:10pm (5 minutes before my car was supposed to be ready), a mechanic walks in and says, "Whats next?" The owner hands him my keys and says, "inspection." I asked if they were JUST NOW starting my car, and he said yes. An hour and thirty minutes later, I received my brand new vehicle back with a failed inspection for a minor chip on the windshield. They "graciously" offered to order the windshield from a repair place and install it, I declined and left, never to return.
