I agree with some of the reviews about this gym. I was a member for more than 4 years and as of last night cancelled my membership and joined VIDA FITNESS. I guess the saying "You get what you pay for!" is so true when it comes to this location. I finally had enough of this place. I signed that cancellation with my head up and pen straight. Happiest moment ever! Before moving to the area from VA, PF was my gym of choice, but this place takes things to a whole new level. Staff is rude and ghetto. Some look like its no way they would pass a background check and or drug test. It has gone down hill and the HOOD folks have taken it over. Most patrons inside gym arent really working out and take up space and or equipment. Girls got on makeup and perfume. I mean am I at the club or a gym. Management needs to step up and take a more active leadership role. VIDA is pricey, but the customer service is untouched. Definitely a different breed of members. Its like I went from Super 8 motel to a 5 star Hyatt. Good luck if you take the risk of joining this unorganized, ghetto, crowed so called gym.

joined in 2012, and it was nice, i would go before the after work crowd came in and made it hard to get to equipment. i actually fell in love w/the Landover location for it was bigger, still the same issues (equipment, see below), but it was just nicer and bigger. As time went on, i got bored, they dont have a vast majority of equipment or machines to get on, i know that before i left i see that they added the stair-step machines which is a plus. They need to invest in more popular machines because every time i designated a day for chest or back, the guys stay on these specific machine for HOURS never giving anyone ELSE a chance to use it, very sickening, they need to either add more chest/back machines or impose a time limit on the machines so EVERYONE can get a chance to use the equipment of their choice.

My experience with Planet Fitness has been one of great rewards. I experience a family atmosphere where I am motivated to get in and stay fit. The customer service that I receive from the staff is unsurpassed! The personal training that Ive been privileged to receive has paralleled and or has been superior to what Ive paid top dollar for in the past. There is fitness equipment to equip every part of your body for optimum fitness, and it is in exceptional condition. This company really has it together, and being one of the first members of this particular gym, Im completely satisfied. My experience has always been positive, and I expect that that will not change!

I love Planet Fitness in District Heights, the staff at the front desk are very encouraging. Every time I come through the doors I am greeted with smiles and if they dont see me for a few days, and I finally get there they always say where have you been, we miss you. This makes me want to keep going with my weight loss journey. I started out on the treadmill and Miriam introduced me to the Arc, which I love, I am burning twice the calories in less time. I am happy to report that I am 12 lbs lighter, my A1C is down and I feel great, thank you Planet Fitness and the great team at District Heights. N. Alexander, Upper Marlboro, MD

I called to speak to a manager about an issue relating to my membership and I had and got Mr. Earl on the phone. I explained my situation to him and he basically called me a liar without even attempting to verify my concerns. By the end of the conversation he was yelling at me and telling me there was no way my story was correct. I plan to cancel my membership today. It is disappointing that a manager would yell at a customer and basically call them a liar without an investigation. I am taking my business to a more professional establishment.

Im not a member, but I am thinking about joining. I went in a week ago for a tour, it was on a Sunday during what I imagine to be non-peak hours. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom was dirty. I saw a little trash on the flower, but the entire counter tops had paper and water puddles everywhere. Even the tour guide said "I need to get in here and clean this". It isnt a complete deal breaker for me. Ill go back to see what the place looks like during peak hours to see if Id be interested in joining or not.

This Planet Fitness needs to be upgraded with new and improved equipment. Its used a lot because its central location for many. However, equipment is not as upgraded as other locations; hydrotherapy bed, lockers, bathrooms. Overall, you can get the job done! However, because of the old lockers Im scared to bring my purse in... A. Because you need a lock. B. Because Im afraid that my items will get stolen... No cameras! Thus, I have been atteding other locations.

Ive been coming to this location for a while now.; I believe ever since they opened. The staff at the desk is always so welcoming. Under this leadership and team of staff, I definitely see a change. Everyones always very professional, courteous and helpful. I really appreciate the staff checking in with the customers to either chop it up or assist them with a workout routine their struggling with. I definitely feel comfortable here because it definitely feels like home.

Went there because of work. Never again. Id rather be stuck in traffic and make it yo woodbridge. My experience there in MD SUITLAND WAS AWFUL. The mens locker room was filthy and smelled relly bad, no soap in the showers. The body enhancer lights didnt work. The tanning boths are tiny. The gym is filthy and all you see the employees doing is joking with each other or members at the front desk like if they were at a park all grouped up.

This gym is by far the best. I love the rates and the supply of machines available. Idky people say they have to wait for equipment. Its like that almost anywhere u go. I had a ballys membership n everytime i went they were crowded. It was to the point I lost interest in losing weight. All that money for nothing. Now at pf its different n i love everything about it. All the way to the massage chairs.

This is one of the worst planet fitness gyms I have been to. Something is always broken and the staff is clueless. Dont come in the evening before 8pm, I have seen people hog machines doing nothing but talking on the phone. People tend to stay on equipment forever and use more than one machine at the same time. The showers rarely produce hot water I mean come on! Bottom line this place sucks.

Do not go here. Some of the workers and patrons sexually harass and video tape you when you exercise. When you bring it up to management they say they will talk to them but then do nothing about environment to change the accessibility of the predators to the victim. Basically its like they want to have you be victimized over and over again to build enough proof for them to change things.
