I wish I could give this place negative stars. My wife and I wanted to do something special to our hair and have it colored. The color that was used washed out of our hair after just 2-3 washes using shampoo that was supposed to make the color stay longer. The stylist told me later that she had never used the color before and she was told that there was an extra step of locking in the color that she did not do. She blamed this on the place where she bought the coloring as they did not tell her about this step when she initially bought the product. We felt like we were used as guinea pigs and tested upon. When I went back to the salon, I demanded our money back. The owner said she would refund just the special coloring, but would not give a full refund since she still had to pay the stylist for the work she had done. The stylist took over 5 hours to do our hair, and she did us both at the same time. This left her distracted and my head even started to burn because the chemicals were on my hair for too long. She also offered to have our hair redone but we would have to pay for the coloring again! Overall, the service was poor, the management staff was unhelpful, and we lost over $200 during the process. I would never recommend this place to anyone for coloring, or service. They are not interested in making the customer happy. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SPECIAL REQUESTS!!!

A professional, clean and relaxing place to enhance your beauty. Its a place of business that really does have a family atmosphere. Reminder emails are sent to you between appointments. Owners and stylist discuss the health of you hair and are honest about what products should and should not be used on your hair. The salon is one place, but divided so the barbershop has its unique amenities and the salon has the special touches for the Ladies. Its also convenient so that Mom, Dad, son and daughter can all have appointments around the same time at the same place...and everyone is comfortable. So if you are looking for professionals to help you take care of your hair and your family members in a relaxing friendly atmosphere; then this is the place.

This is one of the best barber shops that Ive been to in a while. The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have lots of amenities that other shops don’t have i.e. water, coffee, and Wi-fi all for free :) There barbers are all licensed professionals with many years of experience and it shows in the quality of their work. I always feel welcome there like family and all the staff are friendly. The atmosphere and the attitude seem to propagate down to the customers because I always see everyone in a good mood. Even the owner even comes and chats with the patrons at times. They are also great with kids. Overall 10/10, I will go again, and I would recommend a friend.

The friendly owners and staff at Columbia Family Barbershop and Beauty Salon have created a polite, clean and pleasant atmosphere that is very family-friendly. And its refreshing to see that they cater to a diverse clientele. The folks there always deliver excellent customer service and great hair styles for men, women and children. Definitely a great place to get a haircut or hairdo if you live in the area (or passing thru)!

Not many salons listen to what you ask of them. Paula, Ebony, Karen and Jasmine do a fantastic job making women feel beautiful. They asked about my daily routine, what products I used, how I wanted my hair to look and tailored my service to me. Great service, talented stylists.
