I am going to give the stylist I had a bit more credit even though my first reaction was to give 1 star as well. I, like Zoe, went in ahead of time, the shop was not busy on a Saturday, but I decided to give it a try. I too have natural hair and even brought my own products. The young lady blew my hair dry and then started using other products like Paul Mitchell defrizzer and some other thermal heat spray. I asked for a press and curl. Well my hair was pressed with a curling iron and "curled" with a flat iron. I can flat iron my own hair. I went to the salon because I wanted tight curls, which I told her, and I cant manage to do tight curls on my own with my natural hair. On top of that my hair now smelled burned. Finally she charged $70 instead of the $50 that was quoted. You may be asking why I have given 3 stars . . . well it is 3 days later and my hair is still very soft and manageable - straight - but manageable. She also was true to her word when she asked if she could trim my ends - Thank God - she did just trim and not cut my hair. I am thankful for that. Since then, I have been recommended to a different stylist at this same shop. So I will try one more time. I hope she isnt Annikas stylist and she will be there when I make the appointment.

I liked the way my hair came out the first time. Went back again they had a young girl do it messed it up went back to have it fixed mind you this happened in the last three weeks... The other girl did my perimeter which was fine. The braids the young girl did steady falling out i called them to tell them they were falling out and that im not gonna come to them no more the lady said ok. Really you are loosing business instead of trying to fix it they dont even care its ok thats why they have yelp! Dont go to headline! You welcome for the donation! I feel real jipped....

Very clean and professional environment. Appointments are easy to get. Shy is an excellent, knowledgeable stylist! I have NEVER received a style that I didnt like, she knows exactly what to do! I went from relaxed hair to natural hair 10 years ago and Shy has my natural hair bouncing and behaving just like it was when she was relaxing my hair. Its so thick and healthy! She can do ANY hair type. Need color? She will have you feeling like a star! I refuse to go to any place but "Headline Hair Salon." Ask for Shy....17 years of gifted hands on my crown!

I had great service here! My stylist, Jaleesa was polite and professional. She opened the shop early because I was on a time limit, and got right to work. I got medium box braids installed, and I love them so much! The salon is clean and inviting, and they have snacks and beverages for customers to enjoy. When it looked like we wouldnt make the time limit, another stylist at the salon stepped in to help finish my hair in time. I couldnt ask for better service.

Ive been going to Headlines for over a year now and I truly wont go to any other salon! They are very professional, extremely nice, its very clean,and they always do a phenomenal job, no matter what hairstyle. I couldnt tell you about theyre service because I never got my hair done. I drove all the way to Jessup and the stylist wasnt there nor did anyone call me to cancel my appt. I declined having another stylist service me because no one showed enough courtesy to call and cancel with me. They get an F!
