Do NOT use this facility. We used it a year ago and there was a dam across the street we knew nothing about and it flooded all the units. People lost everything. We lost $10,000 worth of things, items that can never be replaced like pictures. I have tried to contact the storage company for details as to who owned the property that flooded the units and they have been unresponsive. Completely a waste of time, money and hope that your stuff is safely stored. Always get insurance even when you dont think you need it, because the storage company will not give you all the money of what you lost. They gave us $2000 because it was a freak accident, but failed to mention there was a dam across the street and that we should get insurance from the beginning. We blindly thought we didnt need it because there was no threat to be had and their insurance is super cheap because they know it is RARE for these situations to occur. They make money off of insurance payments, but then when real accidents happen they dont want to fully reimburse you. Stay away. We have had better experiences with other companys and highly recommend insurance AND checking your surroundings before committing to any storage facility. We were only in a unit for a few months as we sold our house and moved. A lot lost for a short period of renting. Read the newspaper post regarding this situation a year ago and they said they called renters the day it happened which is false. We recieved a phone call notifying us four days after the fact that our unit had been flooded with four feet of water and to top it off they called the night before we were scheduled to have our baby. We spent that good portion of the night trying to salvage what we could. People lost their entire home furnishings, another thousands of dollars worth of antique books. Unacceptable. Please dont put yourself in this position! Look elsewhere! Who knows what the conditions are now with mold, etc. Not worth it.

Three years ago I went from a 3 story home to a small 2 bedroom rancher. I went online and found the best rates with Extra Space Storage, I used the unit on Industry Lane. If you reserve a unit online you can get a reduced rate and free month or 1/2 off a month sometimes. I started with one on the big units and added another unit when I moved. I had 4 different units with them, unfortunately I have finally got all my items out of storage. If I ever need storage again I will come back to Extra Space Storage on Industry Lane in Frederick, MD. I would recommend and use this specific storage place again. Leslie, the manager, Bryan and Tina have always been super helpful to me and whenever I added or changed my unit they were always very very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Also when I stop by or called they were always helpful, pleasant and smiling. It was nice to have familiar faces, not a new person each time you come in, I will miss them, they were kinda like family. :) . Thanks again to Leslie, Tina and Bryan at Industry Lane in Frederick for all your hard work. P.S. I moved 15 miles away, but I still kept my storage with them because of the service and I did not need to worry about anything. No flooding, no theft or security issues, very clean facility, great prices and friendly people. Extra Space Storage on Industry Lane is the best storage place I have ever used, and I did use others until I found them. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

My unit was robbed on April 3. Extra space gave me a free month and a new lock. Thanks, but everything of value was taken out of the unit. The manager, Leslie, admitted to me they had no camera on the hallway, and that they have no leads since there was "nothing out of the ordinary" on the keypad for entry on that day. The security camera on the gate that lets cars in and out apparently only works during daylight hours, so they didnt seem to think it was worth checking license plates of vehicles going in and out. The manager told me they had filed a police report. In 2 weeks since this robbery, Ive had no contact from the police. Extra Space has not contacted me with any information or assistance following the robbery. I spoke with an assistant on April 16 about these concerns and he didnt seem concerned and mentioned he didnt know what I expected them to do. Well lets start by helping me file this insurance claim since Im the one that got robbed and the only one at fault so far is YOU. Im terminating my relationship with this business as soon as possible. If you do decide to use them for storage, ask if they fixed the cameras so they can actually catch criminals now.

DO NOT RENT HERE.... My sister rented a unit here and from the past hurricane her hole unit was flooded... The MANAGER emailed my mom on Thursday when the hurricane hasnt even started yet and it is now Saturday and they are just calling us asking if we got a email and my mom seed no because she doesnt sit on her email( we just read the email) and she called us 30 minutes before they closed and asked if we can make it there in 30 minutes, so when my sister got there they were still open and they told her she cant go in but my sister got in and when she did she saw that her hole sealing caved in and in the email it stayed that it was high leavel water not a cave in... The manager here is really RUDE!

This Extra Space Storage location provides high quality service and is reasonably priced in comparison to its competitors. The units and surrounding areas are a bit dated however, the customer service is unmatched! The units are always clean and the premises are secured and monitored 24x7. We shopped around and most places were way over priced with an attitude. When you walk into a place inquiring about service, the last thing you want is an attitude and disrespect. The lady who always helps us out (cant recall her name), is awesome! Shes patient, friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage located on Industry Lane.

My family recently moved locally and used Extra Space Storage on Industry Lane to store all of our belongings across one month. We rented 2 storage spaces; one smaller and one was the largest available. With the smaller one we got one month free and we got half off the first month for the larger unit. This made our move very affordable. The staff was very helpful and made using the storage very easy. The spaces were clean and the property was well kept. I would use them again and the future and highly recommend them to anyone needing storage in the Frederick area.

Admittedly, we were behind on our bill, but to auction all our stuff without any prior notice that it was going to be auctioned when we had made payment arrangements to get caught up?! And six months after a flood wiped out a significant portion of our belongings already in storage there -- a flood for which Extra Space Storage is STILL dragging its feet on in terms of reimbursement it agreed to months ago. Be smart, never ever store your stuff here ever. Youre better off storing your things in a dark alley.
