I will not go here again! Natural Fusions is a cute little salon and I was excited to be able to try a good quality salon with a nice ambiance. I saw Earl for a consultation, at the time I had platinum blonde hair and I wanted to dye it a very light copper color. I knew this was not something to leave in the hands of any but the most experienced stylist so I was happy to find Earl because he seemed to know his stuff. He told me he could dye the platinum hair red but that it would be a challenge. He seemed quite confident though. He quoted me a price of $150 to dye the hair and give me a hair cut. I came in to Natural Fusions a week later for my appointment. First Earl applied an orange base color to my hair, rinsed it and then applied the desired red color to my hair. But when he rinsed it out it was clearly a pink-red color- not a good look at all! By that time I had already been there for hours and he had other clients waiting (he did not schedule nearly enough time to do my hair). So I came back later that evening and Earl tried to put a soap cap on my hair to remove the pink color. When he rinsed it the hair was even pinker- bright pink! I could tell that Earl was getting very nervous and he didnt seem to know what to do. So I told him to go ahead and dye the hair a darker red instead of the light copper I wanted to cover up the pink hair. He agreed that would be the easiest thing to do and dyed my hair with a vibrant red color. It looked nice and bright- not what I wanted but at this point I just wanted to get out of there because it was 8pm and I had been at the salon for hours! Earl charged me $210, way over what he had originally quoted me (even though it wasnt my fault that he couldnt do what he said in the time he estimated). I went home, not really happy with my hair but relieved it wasnt bright pink. A few days later I washed my hair for the first time and all of the red dye went down the shower drain! I use good quality no SLS no salt shampoo btw. My hair was left looking a red-brown color with the pink showing though. I knew that red is one of the toughest colors to maintain and it fades fast but after 1 wash? What was I supposed to do, go to Natural Fusions once a week?! I went in again to see Earl and he looked at my hair and said matter of factly "Yeah red does that- it actually looks better then I thought!". He made no offer to fix my hair or try to dye it again. I spent the next few months retouching my hair at home every 2 weeks with red dye and looking like a weird brown-pink freak in between dye jobs. NO ONE thought my hair looked good (well except for Earl!). Most importantly I was not happy with it but Earl didnt seem to care, I def. got the vibe that once he got my money he was done! I ended up using ColorFixx from Sallys to remove the red color (which Earl said couldnt be done- again, wrong) and I am thank God back to blonde, $300 bucks later. The one thing I did like about my visit was Earl gave me a good hair cut- other then that- no thanks! A friend of mine went here and also spend several hundred dollars and she was also unhappy with her hair and Earl didnt seem to give a crap.

I had my hair done for the first time at this salon by Steve. I decided to go with this salon based on the high reviews. I wanted my hair trimmed and cleaned up, since the last person who cut my hair butchered it. I also wanted those hand painted highlights (balayage); specifically because I didnt want my hair to look like it had been colored, but like Id been out in the sun for a while. Im joining the military and they dont allow any artificial looking hair color going into boot camp, meaning natural color only. I didnt want to have to dye my hair again before I leave. I thought I made this very clear. Steve seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. When he started putting foils in my hair I started to get nervous but trusted that he knew what he was doing. He said he was going to put in some foils and pick out pieces to hand paint. I dont think he hand painted a single highlight. As he was working, I explained how I didnt like normal highlights because of the maintenance, and the cost of that maintenance, to maintain the look when it starts to grow out. I wanted a highlight that could grow out and look natural still. He washed my hair, put a toner in it, (Supposedly to tone down the brightness of some very small pieces of peek-a-boo highlights I had from over 2 years ago. Toner didnt do anything to those pieces, by the way. Just made my scalp burn.) and cut it. Once he was finished and I looked in the mirror, I was immediately disappointed. The haircut was perfect but I had regular old highlights. Exactly what I didnt want. I told Steve I liked it because I have a problem with telling stylists Im unhappy. He seemed to realize maybe I wasnt entirely thrilled because he started telling me something about how he spaced out the foiled highlights and he doesnt recommend getting balayage done the first time. What does that even mean? Why cant I get balayage the first time I ask for it? It was incredibly frustrating that he would tell me he could do what I wanted and then do exactly what I told him I didnt want. I will now have to spend more money to dye my hair back to its original color sometime this summer because one, I really dont like the highlights and two, they wont let me into boot camp. Again, something I really, really didnt want to do after spending $120 to get this done in the first place and 2 years letting my natural color grow in. On a side note, I dont know what all he put in my hair but just a day later it was incredibly oily. Not a problem Ive ever had before, or ever experienced after a visit to a salon. I dont think I will be going back when its time to color my hair again. And if I do, I will not be seeing Steve. Which is unfortunate because Steve was a pleasure to talk to and my haircut does look great.

I went to Natural fusion salon to have my hair cut and colored In one visit and then to have the chi enviro straighting treatment done in another. On the first visit I brought in a picture of the color I wanted my hair to be so there would be no confusion, I had been dying my hair myself for a few years and wanted to lift It a couple of levels and add on some blonde highlights. Earl said this wouldnt be a problem and we discussed what needed to be done. I told him I could handle just about anything BUT red hair. I was trying to go from dark to light brown. Six hours later I had a decent hair cut and blow out with RED/ORANGE hair and super light roots. I ended up paying $265 for my color. On the phone I was quoted 150 for a corrective color! I had been there all day with a toddler at home and a baby on the way I had to leave or starve to death. I called the next day and set up an appointment to re do my hair. Earl seemed annoyed when I got there for my second dye job but we had a nice visiit with a few laughs and he "tried" to fix it by using a toner or demi color, can't really remember which but it completely covers the crappy highlights I had just paid for and turned my hair back to almost the color I had started with. Hesitantly I went back a third time, all of this had been leading up to the straightening treatment I had been wanting so badly. Don't feel I need to get into specifics but I was there for 4 hours and my hair looked exactly the same but it felt like I had not washed or rinsed out the conditioner in weeks. My hair is not frizz free and smooth as promised and my ends are completely damaged and fried. It cost me another $350. I told earl I was still unhappy with my hair and he blamed it on my hair type and said he could come up with an excuse for anything.
