After moving to the area we were in need of a mechanic closer to our new house and after reading the reviews we decided to take a chance. Looks as if the other reviews were correct. The staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable and the work is excellent. My wifes vehicle has never ran this smooth. This is most likely due to the fact they found an issue that the dealer missed for years. A few days later we also received a thank you note for our business. These little things show the character of an operation and theyve gained two more loyal customers. I will begin to bring my vehicle to them as well when its time for my scheduled maintenance. Them finding the issue on wifes vehicle has likely saved us thousands down the road.

Took my vehicle in for the state inspection and the gave me a list of stuff that needed fixed. I fixed all but the emergency brake. Less than a year later I find out that the lug nuts were on there so tight that one lug broke off and another lug nut was rounded off so you could not get it off. I called about it and they would not guarantee the work because it had been almost a year and other things could have happened. Took the vehicle to a different shop and when the got the tire off they found the the emergency break that was supposed to be fixed wasnt fixed properly. I will never take another vehicle to Spectra nor will I recommend them to anyone.

A friend recommended Spectra and Im so glad he did. Ive visited Spectra for 2 issues now, and both times they resolved the issues efficiently with courtesy and very fair prices. Additionally, what I like most is they listened to the description of the issue I was experiencing, they documented it on the work order accurately as I had described it, and they documented the resolution on the work order so I could understand it. Amazing and so welcome to be able to understand a work order! Many thanks to Chris at Spectra and the other amazing employees there who have helped to make my experience with Spectra rate above all others! THANK YOU!!

Its only been a week or so and I continue to have issues with my car pulling to the side (left side now), though I was informed that there wasnt anything left to be done aside from replacing another tire. The service I received was prompt, and I was given several options before any repairs were made. I felt much more respected than I have in other shops, and though I would have liked to speak with the mechanic who worked on my car, everyone I did talk with was very pleasant. In short, Im not happy with where my car is at, but I am happy with the work that Spectra has done on it. I would recommend others to this business.

One word: Fantastic. I was told by another auto place that I needed to fix all three of my belts on my car, but I wanted a second opinion. I looked online for the best rated place in Frederick, Maryland, and they came up. I didnt realize how professional and honest they were though, until I got there. Not only did the receptionist walk me through a problem I had with something else, but they also told me I had NO problems with my belts. I walked out of there happy, and EXTREMELY proud of the service they gave me. So again, one word: Fantastic.

Great local place! The staff are super friendly and understanding, and they have a "taxi" car to pick you up and drop you off if you dont have a ride. Im a big fan of their online inspection summary and how responsive they are. They let us leave our van at their shop after the transmission blew out for about a week until we could get a charity to come get it, which I really appreciated. Their prices are very fair and they are straightforward with what work you do and dont need to have done.

Always a job well done at reasonable prices. The work is always on time and right on the estimate. Prices are much less than any dealer Ive ever been to. I would never let anyone else work on my autos. Dave Phoebus truly does believe in customer service and satisfaction. Another service and another wonderful experience at Spectra. Great service as always! You can always count on Dave and crew to pinpoint any problems and repair them for the best possible value!

I called around 8:10 am to have my oil changed. They were busy but said it can be done if I can get there in 5. $26 for a change with my own oil and filter and a general inspection. Staff was friendly and it was a painless process. I received a txt informing me my car was ready for pickup and a link that directed me to a inspection report for my vehicle. Overall, a great experience for a task I usually like to do myself, but didnt have time.

Love your work, and feel very comfortable coming in and not worrying about you trying to sell me things I dont need or making up fake issues with my car. Since I moved to Maryland (and had to no longer have a garage to work on my own vehicles like I used to), I finally found a place I feel treats me fairly. I am very impressed with everything. Scheduling me short notice, very fair with pricing and honest. I basically said to the mechanic, "I need rotors resurfaced, dont I? He responded, "you dont need them, that is why I didnt recommend that; you just need pads" They even sent a thank you note....Spectra knows what theyre doing and they know how to run a business.

I am always happy with the service I get at Spectra. I feel prices are fair and that I get fair treatment each and every time I get services. The reason for my service this time was just a light being out but I got the same great treatment for my $20.00 repair as when I got my brakes replaced! I love having a shop I can trust so close to where I live.

My husband and I have been going to Spectra for YEARS, and the things I like about them is we have NEVER had to bring our car back because it wasnt fixed right, they are honest and never try to sell us something we dont really need.
