I came in for a wash & set on a Wednesday afternoon, there were no clients and barely any staff. I got a deep conditioner but they had no plastic caps for my head for me to wear while sitting under the dryer which made me upset. The washer was OK though. The stylist burned my scalp a few times with the blow dryer and I did not like the fact that she used the flat iron afterwards. I dont need to have my hair flat ironed, it is added heat and damage to my hair and Ive been to other Dominican salons plenty of times. She burned my scalp with the flat iron pretty bad and was pulling my hair with the iron. I was really dissatisfied with the service so far then to be told that the lowest they could charge me was $40 when their prices start at $35. I been there before in April and I was only charged $35 for my service. They explained that one stylist was charging all her clients less than she was suppose to and now the owner is changing/enforcing the prices and that I was charged $40 because I have SHOULDER LENGTH HAIR! My hair has always been shoulder length and I wasnt ever charged extra for it. At other salons they only do an up charge if your hair is past your bra strap down your back!..... I will not be visiting them again.

When I entered there was no one at the front counter. When I peeped around the corner someone finally came up. I asked the price for a wash and blowout and was told $65. The stylist didnt greet me when I sat in her chair. She continued to talk to other ladies in the shop. She asked if I wanted curly or straight and I replied curly. At checkout I was given a price of $85. I questioned this price as I was told $65 at check-in. She said its $10 for curly and the price is $65 and up. I argued this price, but they claim people usually know this. I explained this salon is new to area and I wasnt told about uncharted and you dont have a price list. How should I know your prices. Needless to say I wont be back!!!! Horrible customer service and they lie about prices. I went to the new location in Upper Marlboro, M.D. I couldnt find a website for the new location so I posted here.

I went to this salon on a Wednesday evening. They close at 6:30 and I walked in about 6:10.The decor in the salon is very nice and warm. As soon as I walked in the young lady (Leila) at the front desk sent me to the back to the shampoo bowl. Shortly after she came back and began washing my hair. She made a comment that my hair was "oily".....duh! Other than that she did a GREAT job washing my hair and giving a deep conditioning. I was then rolled up and place under the dryer. Wendy blew out my hair. By the time I decided I didnt want to bear the heat anymore, it was over. She tried to wrap my hair but I had other places to go. She combed it out into a very basic style. I was out by 8:00. Overall I was impressed. I will definitely be returning on Tuesdays for the $15 off special.

They are inconsistent with their pricing. I only went there because my regular shop was closed. I got a basic wash and set--no deep conditioner, nothing fancy. They charged me $60, then couldnt tell me why my hair cost so much. The woman that did my blowout was very rough and did not ask me what style I wanted. She used too much heat for my hair type. I will not be returning to this shop. Save your money-- theres a better shop right down the street.

I was thoroughly satisfied with my 1st time experience here, I googled them after I read their review and decided to come in for a look. I came in on a Tuesday where it was $15 off (says so on the website), there was no wait & sat down at the shampoo bowl, received the hydrotherapy treatment, roller set and pin curled my hair all in 2 hours. Everyone in there was polite and friendly. I will be returning every other Tuesday for my discount. :-)

I have been to this salon twice because it is close to where i lived and didnt feel like driving to my regular salon They do a great job but they get frustrated when it gets busy. Seems like when i went on a Saturday one or more of the hair stylist called out so it was only one shampoo girl and hair stylist. As others have stated there are no listed prices. So be firm on prices or they will try to over charge you.

This place is a not a authentic domininican salon....I took two of my daughters with unprocessed hair to their salon and they offered a free conditioner, which wasnt conditioner at all, they put relaxers in their hair. Now I have shampooed my daughters hair and their curl pattern is gone. I will be reporting this salon to the BBB.

This is horrible. Im sure this gave me heat damage when I was 8 and Im 10 now and my original curl pattern is gone, its getting better but I want me really tight curls back. I try to ignore it but I cant. I hate this salon. I wouldnt recommend this for anyone. If you have curly black hair I wouldnt recommend going here.

The own is so unprofessional and continue to change her pricing each time without warning. She was very rough with my hair while washing my hair. The only person that was professional was the young lady who blowout my hair. She was very kind and sweet. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone again.

This salons name has changed to Glamour Dominican salon I wonder why. I went here not knowing the salon had changed management. Anyway I left with a burn on my forehead and my hair falling out like never before. I asked for my money back but no response.

I love the monthly specials and now the complimentary facials are a great touch as well but nothing beats how great they make your hair feel especially being natural.
