Among the WORST I have ever patronized. I spoke with Grace directly and requested she do my tree braids. She told me to come right in. I arrived 30 minutes later and she wasnt even 1/2 way done doing someone elses hair. She raved about having hair in store for me to purchase but when I arrived the hair she sold was very low grade, so I had to leave to purchase hair from a store nearby. I got back with the hair and then Grace told me my braider was in the back eating her lunch and for me to have a seat and wait! I waited almost 30 minutes before the women came out of the back from their lunch break. The braiding assistant left while my hair was less than 1/2 done. The main braider did a very poor job on my braids. When she braided too tight and I told her, she continued braiding as if I was speaking a foreign language. I actually had to put my hand up and block her from continuing for her to take the braid out and start again. I left very disgusted but happy that I had something done to my hair, as I had a networking event to attend that evening. I was told my braids would last 6-8 weeks. NOT at Graces!! I had my hair done of Thursday, January 19th and I had to take them out yesterday (Feb. 8) because the hair had slipped out of the cornrows and several of the platts have come undone, causing the hair to just fall out of my head. I have been getting my hair braided off and on for more than 10 years and I have never come across such an unprofessional group of braiders in all of my life. They left piles of hair laying on the floor for hours; only sweeping once it became enough to start trickling into the aisle way. I had to ask for an apron to shield my clothes from all of the hair hitting my clothes. This was a most terrible experience! If you have never been to Graces DONT GO! Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else! This place does not deserve your hard earned money.

I found this place after searching online. I was able to schedule an appointment the same day. I got crochet Havana twists and after only 3 days (Sunday-Wednesday) a twist fell out on my bathroom sink. I had an early morning flight to Florida the next day and couldnt not go to them to fix it. I wish I had. Before returning to Maryland 2 more twists fell out intact. The braiding that was done was shot; I should have known something was wrong when the stylist next to mine said something to her and my stylist undid and redid the braiding she was doing throughout the time I was in her chair. 1) dont have me in the chair of someone who doesnt know what theyre doing. The day I returned I called the shop to inform them of what happened to my hair and all I got was the run around "call tomorrow when Grace is here for a refund". I called and spoke to someone who said they werent Grace, but told me she will not give a refund. I told her I only wanted to speak to Grace to which she said she was Grace. Confused is not the word. After my husband listened he wanted to speak of course and let the woman know his opinion of the quality of service and customer service. The woman would not listen so he hung up the phone. Not only did she call back but she again stated she was not Grace and to call her on the number she gave me. It was the same person both times and a waste of my time and energy. She offered to discount a future style to which I explained I did not want due to the poor customer service from her and the poor quality of service from her stylist. She continued to rant about her religion and her 16 years in the business. I was over it and told her to have a good night. WASTE OF TIME. Go somewhere you can trust.

Hi this is going to be the most honest review, I visited this salon on 6/17/17 because I had a semi formal event to go to. Before I came to her salon I asked if they could do one jumbo ponytail braid and the owner said yes. When I came to her store no one seemed to know what I wanted done to my hair, my mom had to show a video from YouTube on what to do. The woman who was going to do my hair gave me an estimated price of $20 since Im using their hair. But the owner said "no, its $30" which I think is way overpriced for one braid. The woman went on to do my hair and the atmosphere was not pleasant at all and two stylists started arguing in the workplace which was very unprofessional. Though I did like my hair it started coming out on 6/19/17 which Ive only had it for 3 days which is unacceptable. I liked the protective style I just dont like the fact that after 3 days have gone by my braid is coming out. I gave it two stars because I did like my hair but their prices are too high and unreasonable

I went to get my hair done (6/11/15). That will onlt be a week tomorrow and you would think i had these senegalese twist in for a month. Disappointed would be an understatement. After a year of just rocking my natural hair i decided to get twisted up for the summer. Needless to say grace salon was the wrong place to go!! I understand that yes most braiders make the middle/back parts larger then the front and sides. Put this is ridiculous, the parts in the middle of my head and big enough for jumbo single braids!!! Some twist or so bad i can see my own hair sticking out. I have twist that have been cut (im guessing during process of cutting off the fuzziness). Apparently since the twist wasnt actually cut off its cool to leave the semi cut twist in my head. $180 waste (not to mention to always leave a tip) i wont be stepping foot back into that place!!! (I will try to post a picture of the middle parts)

This experience was much better than other shops Ive visited. The braider was very respectful and when I told her it was tight, she loosened the braid immediately. I arrived there at 8 and left at 12. They are quick and attentive. I would recommend this shop to anyone! The only drawback was pricing. I was told $170 when I visited the day before but after getting my hair done, I was told $200 for my microbraids. I think the increase was because they used lacing around my edges to give the appearance of a fuller look...they could have been the reason. I didnt ask mainly b/c I was so satisfied with the service. I will return.

I should have known better Style: Kinky Twist My Specs: medium length thin hair, almost shaved in the back. Charge 160 + 20 for length = bull because my braids arent long. I was quoted a time line of 4 hrs, it was completed in 2 1/2 (SIDE EYE) The stylist was very rough, I didnt catch her name but she sits in the 2nd chair in front of the box. When I saw myself in that mirror, baby I wanted to cuss. It was too late to get my tip back. I had enough twist to complete a childs head. After being pissed for 2 hrs, I finally came up with a solution to crochet more hair in. Never Again
