I have been an exclusive customer of this Timonium, MD Zips location for several years and have recently stopped going there completely because of my atrocious experience. At the beginning of the year (Feb - 2017) I noticed I was missing one of my men’s dress shirts. I exclusively took all of my dress shirts plus other items to this specific location weekly. When I made the staff and manager aware of the situation they neglected to call me back to follow up for several weeks and were conveniently never there when I was there. It was only after 10 calls in to the Manager when I finally was able to be connected and I got an extremely rude answer that said we looked via the cameras and youre not missing anything. She basically called me a liar. This upset me very much and I explained that I am missing a dress shirt and I gave her the description of it again and she quickly dismissed my claim and hung up on me. This was a white men’s button down dress shirt with brown stripes size 17 1/2 34 Nordstrom Smart Care shirt valued at $60. After this experience I decided to never return to this store and make everyone I know aware of the situation via my personal network and social media. Prior to this experience this store had already damaged another shirt and had destroyed about 6 other shirts buttons. So a few weeks ago, I again noticed I had been missing another mens dress shirt (French blue) same size and make, etc....I dont inventory my cloths (maybe I should) but this was yet another one that I had went missing at the same time and the only place it could have been lost was Zips Timonium as this was the only place I took my dry cleaning. This leads me to wonder how many other shirts am I also missing?? I know for a fact that this location had a period where their computer systems were broken and they were hand checking each item in. This was right around when my two shirts went missing. I was seeking compensation ($120.00) for my two missing shirts. I contacted a related organization that had contacts with the owner of this Zips regarding my experience. The owner Dennis McMahon eventually did contact me and he was very rude and dismissive towards me and did absolutely nothing to rectify my situation. The store Manager I dealt with (Carla?) was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life. I plan to seek damages via my attorney and take the owner of this location to small claims court. I highly recommend DO Not take your clothing to this Zips location unless you want them to lose your stuff!!!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN! I was using their service - no problems - but I also RARELY take anything to the dry cleaners. I had dropped off my husbands tuxedo (jacket, pants, vest, and button-up shirt) as well as a new coat I had just purchased for myself a few months prior. When I picked up the coat and other items I didnt notice any buttons missing. Got the coat home and went to hang it up when I noticed that it was shrunk! I put it on and couldnt bend my arms in it. This was the 1st/only time it had been cleaned ever. I took it back. Young man told me on a Friday afternoon, "well try to redo it for you." I was in no mood to argue so I agreed and left the coat. Monday afternoon at 4:30 pm I went to pick up the coat (my pick up time on their slip was Saturday 5 pm) and "it wasnt ready." I said that my slip says it should be. Then ignorant "supervisor" lady came over and said, "I can try to steam and stretch it, but its not going to work." "The tag says dry clean -we dry cleaned it - so its not our fault - its a manufactuers problem." Wouldnt compensate the total $9 I paid couple days prior, only a $1.99 for the "cleaning" of the coat. So I told them to give me my coat and I left. They had to have launder it or something - it was a polyester coat.

This review is for the world to read. My wife and I tried Zips for the first time this morning. Walking in we asked a patron leaving about the service. He was extremely angered and told us to staw away. We did not listen ( big mistake ) and went in anyway at 9am. We just left 21 minutes ago and it looked like my dry cleaning was suffed between the seats of my couch. You know where you find change fallen between the cracks. We told them medium starch. There can not be any starch what so ever. My shirts are still damp. My pants are to. Every single garmet is wrinkled and crumped. "THAT IS WHY YOU PAY UP FRONT PEOPLE, YOU WILL HATE THE WORKMANSHIP. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. " Lastly I have contacted a friend of mine who is an assistant to Marylands Attourney General. I will do something about this for myself and all of you who have been robbed by this poor excuse for a business. " DO NOT USE THIS BUSNESS FOR YOU DRYCLEANING "

yes this place is cheap and fast, but i should have known better than to think that it could have been any good. The reason i have my clothes dry cleaned is so that they are handled better than i would do at home. I am pretty sure my 4 y/o nephew could have done a better job than their worthless excuses for a staff. No wonder there is not one positive review. I guarantee paying less will actually cost you more in the long run. Every garment i got back had something wrong with it, weather it be a broken button, huge iron line, or a broken clasp. two of the items i had takes there were brand new, both came back needing repairs. My total might have been under $20 for 10 items, but i ended up paying almost $75 to get the items repaired. So really its not 1.99 and item, its more like $9.99 an item which i guarantee you is not cheap.

They ruined a $90 dress shirt of mine, told me a manager would call me, and I never even heard back. When I called to follow up, the clerk told me he isnt in charge of the manager and hung up on me. When I called corporate customer service, no one was available at 11am on a Thursday.....this company is all about profit and will be out of business in the near future if it continues to receive consistant, and horrible, reviews! I will NEVER use another Zips store again. UPDATE: Have left two (2) additional voice messages to the corporate office and responded to the company via email (per their request). I still have not heard back...looks like I need to dispute the charges since the entire corporation clearly does not care about customer service. If only I could give the ZERO stars.....worst service I have experienced in decades!

I dropped off a white dress shirt and received it with several stains and spots on the sleeve. The woman said she can re-do it but there was no guarantee that it would be any better. After the second time, there were still numerous visible spots and the woman said there was nothing they can do about it. Another one of my dress shirts had a button ripped off and another one came back with a black mark on the sleeve which was not there when I dropped it off. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. They should be shut down and Im surprised there are still customers who go there. I will be researching and looking for another dry cleaners because I cant afford to have my dress shirts come back in WORSE shape than they were before I dropped them off.
