I have been coming to this Meineke for car service since 2009 or 2010 and have had excellent car care and customer service. It is true that the Korean woman was a miserable miser towards customers, but never to me; she reminded me of the soup chef on Seinfeld: Come in, place your order, sit down and wait until youre called, no more questions. Funny thinking about it. It was always startling (and often times hard watching) her behave so horribly to a customers question or concern about a price or work done on their car. BUT that has all changed! The Wicked Witch Is Gone!!! And there is a rainbow of Excellent Customer Service and Car Care. Seriously, Peter and Karyn and their team of mechanics are really good to their customers. They take your calls and answer all your questions; they take walk-ins and work to squeeze you into their sometimes tight schedule; they add coupons (I never had a coupon and yet they always give me their coupon discount for that week); they check your car WITHOUT CHARGING YOU and provide you with a list of the work (starting with the MOST IMPORTANT to the least important) that needs to be completed. They even let you know how long you can "try" to go before getting the work done. And they give you a fair price. I know this because I used to take my car to two other different, (Highly recommended by car services) car care centers and those cheating bastards would not only tell me something different their prices raised my blood pressure. One of them I had to request to speak to a manager because the worker wanted me to pay $100 just to look at my car, and the second car center ONLY looked over my car for free after I told him about the first two, but made it clear to me that they dont regularly do that, that its a fee. I will continue bringing my vehicle to Peter and Karyn and their team because they are the BEST at taking care of me and my car (I need my car for my different jobs), and Im not putting my baby in the hands of predators (hiking up prices, charging just to look over my car, telling me that I might have to leave it, or that its an old car and nobody make them anymore). Im done with madness and aggravation, so I come to my place of great service and customer care calm. Peter and Karyn and Team Meineke in New Carrollton, MD. Rock On Yall!!!

I have to give this place 1 star. I called to have a set of coilover springs removed from old struts and put on new ones because I dont have a coil spring compressor. I was quoted at $60 each which is quite steep considering its an on bench operation (I didnt even bring in my car, just the struts). When I get there I tell the guy what I want to have done, he goes back to the shop talks to a guy and tells me yeah it can be done for $80 each! I haggled a little and we finally settled on the difference at $70 each. I come back an hour later to pick them up and when Im installing them I notice the bumper covers are on UPSIDE DOWN! So this place tried to charge me $160 for a 15-20min job, then did the job wrong! Now I have to go back, get them to do it right, and I want my $$ back. Considering labor rates for ASE certified techs in the DC area are roughly $85-$115/hr and this place worked all of 20min OFF VEHICLE..theyre a definite ripoff!

Yup. Those three reviews were correct. The customer service at this place was pretty shittttttty, and rude. I wouldnt recommend any to come here. Surprise they are still in business. I came here for the first time for a regular oil change. This lady quoted me $27 buck or so. I told her that I had a coupon. She then told me that she couldnt take the coupon. I asked, "Why couldnt you take the coupon?" She respond, "I dont make any money." I told her "Why do you advertised such coupon if you couldnt honor it". Moving on...I then requested whats the estimate time to perform an oil change for my car. She told me, "Maybe one hour or so." I looked at the place, there was only one car on the bay, and many mechanics around. I had to shake my head and say "HELL NO", and walked away. I rather pay a little more at Jiffy Lube for a better/faster service.

Ive been coming to this shop for a long time and I understand the older reviews because of the Korean lady who owned/operated the shop, she was the WORST! To say she didnt care about customer service is an understatement, makes me wonder if she even knew what customer service was. She didnt like people (hated people might be a better way to put it) and you could tell by the way she talked to you, completely void of any empathy or niceness. Quality of work was also a reflection of her feelings toward her customers...why she ever went into business for herself is a mystery to me. You kinda have to like people to deal with them on a one-to-one basis. Now there is a new owner and a new team there and they have been great, and the service and work is done right. If im not working on my car then these guys are, they are the only ones I trust.

Horrible service!!!! I walked in to get an oil change and asked for the price. She told me the price. After she put in the order I presented my coupon; the she said "if I knew you had a coupon I would have said a higher price." Why say that to a customer? Besides, after I get my service done, I asked if they did all the were suppose to do (top off fluids, etc.) She tells me yes. So I immediately look out the window and the tech is running to top off my windshield fluid (I wonder what else they didnt do). Save a trip and dont go to this location. Said to say better off in a "higher end" area. 4-24-12

I went in for an oil change a few weeks ago and they did a good job with that but the customer service is horribly lacking. I had just driven my truck from AZ to MD and was really hoping for a very through inspection and expecting some recommendations to be given but I didnt get a thing said to me. Came in, read my book, paid, and left with less then 2 sentences shared. Very frustrating. Trying to find a better Meineke in the area to go to in the future.

The service is awful. Come this weekend this will be my third...YES THIRD time coming here. Not because I want to but due to poor service. They put brakes on my truck in April, a week later they started squeaking. They replaced them. Now two weeks ago, my brakes started to sqeak all over again. I went into Meineke yesterday to go off and they tried to act as tho the whole issue is my fault.

Awful service, the guy just wanted to take my money and had no knowledge of what needed to be done. He gave me a $400 and 4 hours estimate just to change an exhaust system. Magnaflow confirms that it takes just 1 hour to install their exhaust system. I am glad I went somewhere else which I pay only $150 and it took 1 hour and 20 minutes. Stay away from this place they will rip you off.
