I went to this shop to have my power steering fluid flushed and changed. To have this done, I paid $24. After having this done, the man that serviced my car told me that the power steering was leaking fluid. He essentially told me that I needed a new tie rack, and the only thing keeping the steering fluid from leaking completely was that it was being held in by the pressure of the steering fluid. He told me that unless I came back to him and had it fixed, eventually I would lose control of my car while driving because my car would lose power steering, and I would have an accident. Upon telling me this, he told me I could bring it back and have it fixed for a cool $800. Yeah I left, never went back. Trying to scare people into giving you money? Thats not how you should run a business or treat customers. Horrible customer service. Dont go here, because the people at this shop will just try to fear monger you into doing things that you probably dont need.

I was having trouble with my car. It was not starting without revving the engine super high. I couldnt figure it out on my own so I called North Laurel Auto Center to see if I could get an appointment for same day. Mind you that it was a Saturday at 9 am that I am calling. He said bring it in. I got same day service. I was only there for 3 hours. They told me what they thought was wrong with it. They told me they are not 100% sure so they can order the part and if it wasnt it they could take it off and not charge me the full price all i would have to do is pay for labor. It turned out that he was correct and that the part fixed the issue. They were very reasonably priced and very very honest. Which is a double plus in my book. I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends or anyone who is new coming into my unit.

The only yet most important reason I would NOT recommend this shop, is the Manager and/or owner, Steves, unfriendly attitude. Its unprofessional and backyard trash awful. Simple inquiries annoy him to the point I witness him ball up an invoice and throw at customer, as there was a dispute of service fee. He snapped and told him to get out of here....so no, I will NEVER use the shop again!!! I had not realized they were under NEW Management and boy has things change. No matter the circumstance you as an Owner/Manager should show dignity especially when other customers are around. I will return to mechanic Ive trusted for the last 10yrs, despite being 15miles away. This rating is strictly based on pricing and lack of customer service. I gave 2-star because I left with a running vehicle...otherwise AVOID!

I came on a recommendation from a friend. Its about a 30 mile drive for me, but well worth every mile. I have had major work done here a couple of times. The first time, I happened to be stranded near Laurel. I had a major problem that required getting special parts, etc. Before doing the work, they called a dealer of my vehicle to make sure that they were on target with the diagnosis before doing the repair. They kept in touch with me the whole time and got my car back to me within days. The price was lower than a retired mechanic friend told me to expect. During my most recent visit, they completed my recommended service at a price that was significantly lower than the dealer would charge. I will continue to make the drive to this place anytime that I need more than an oil change.

I had been going to North Laurel Automotive for a number of years, but my last visit was my last. Went in for four items, including new brakes, and a headlight. What should have taken a day, or two at most took a week. The brakes were worse, two other problems werent fixed, and the bill was for nearly two grand. Would have been OK paying a little extra for good service, but only the car was worse after leaving. Checking online, they charge a serious premium on parts. Had the problems fixed by another garage for about a hundred, and wont be back to North Laurel. I dont think you can do worse.

The last three cars I have had have been serviced by this garage. I have never had a problem and have only received excellent service. Almost every issue with my vehicles has been resolved – quickly and for good. Any other issues which required attention directly from the dealer were pointed out to me so I could go to the dealer to have them addressed. If there was nothing wrong with the car, then nothing was charged – they didn’t generate problems to generate business. I will continue to take my vehicle here for reliable, professional and reasonably-priced service.

Had a friend recomend this place to get my van (windstar 1999) fixed. Mechanics I was using in PA were ripping me off big time. Woman going into garage alone and an old car equates to "license to steal". Drove to MD to North Laurel Auto and the problem was fixed in a day for about $200 rather than the PA estimate of $900. If I lived closer I would continue to use North Laurel. Luckily Ive found an honest mechanic about 10 miles from home, instead of 100+ miles. My only dealing with North Laurel was a positive one.

Worst Service EVER!!!!! I called to schedule an appointment to either get my rotors replaced or serviced. The technician asked that I be there by 4:30. I said sure Ill take off work early to get there. I get there only to find out that he expected that I had my rotors removed prior to getting there and that it would be on the back seat. HOW THE HELL would I get there with my rotors on the back seat. Then his response is well it would be another $100 to remove them......

Steve and his crew have always taken care of me from the first day I walked on the shop. They always try to work with you to save money and they always use quality parts. The oil change plan is the best and cheapest around, money spent on family owned businesss is always money well spent. I have never had a vehicle have to go back after they fixed it. I cant say enough about how much I love this shop.

I have taken a few different cars there for several various items. Their pricing is very fair and they are also extremely honest. Just recently they installed new tires on my car. I asked them to check the brakes just due to the mileage on my car and he told me they were fine. I know very few auto places that when you ask them if something needs replaced would actually tell you no.

I have gone to North Laurel for all the family car repairs for over ten years. I have always found them to be professional, honest (a big plus), reasonably priced, and willing to go the extra mile to find the actual problem. I cant imagine having to take my car anywhere else.

very polite on the phone and in person. I went to get my breaks bled and they said 45 on the phone and it ended up being 15 bucks less than what they said. other places wanted to charge 100+ I would def recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to get stuff fixed.
