Monday morning 8/17/2015 - I had AAA tow my SUV to Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook ( I was the 1st customer onsite ) - when AAA lowered my SUV off the flat bed & pulled off parking lot - I entered the Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook office & "Nick" was at the front desk - I then advised "Nick" my SUV was outside - "NICK THEN GAVE ME A CLIP-BOARD FOR ME TO RECORD THE VEHICLE INFORMATION AND WALKED AWAY. Right then & there at that point if the AAA tow Truck had not already left the lot - I would have had my Vehicle taken to another location - Then another guy (his name was Whammy) comes out from the back office & asked me about the issue I was having with my Vehicle, as Im in the MIDDLE OF MY TELLING "Whammy" about the trouble - Whammy rudely turns & walked away into this dingy room the back - I leave the Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook office - I call them 4 hours later to see if they have a run any diagnostics - they tell me they havent even touched my vehicle yet - I asked them "what time today will they get to it" - they said they did not know - I call back the next day ( Tuesday 8/18/2015 ) and "Jack the Manager" tells me they need to "Rebuild the transmission, Re-seal the transfer case, & replace the 2 front end links - I asked "Jack the Manager" for the out the door price for the repairs - "Jack" advised the cost would be $3367.00, and that he would not charge me for the front end links - I then asked "Jack" how long would it take to complete the repairs - "Jack" advised me he did not know - Wednesday 8/19/2014 "Jack" calls me back and tries to put a "SPIN" ON THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT TROUBLESHOOT THE ISSUE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME - THAT I DID NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION REBUILD - THAT THE TROUBLE WAS A HOSE COLLAPSED INSIDE OF A HOSE THAT CAUSED THE CALIPERS TO STAY ENGAGED - HENCH NOT RELEASING THE BREAK PADS - THUS GRINDING THE BREAK PADS DOWN TO METAL AND INTO THE ROTORS - THAT THE BREAKS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED - & THAT I was gonna be Soooooo thrilled that Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook was gonna save me a truck load of money - I then asked "Jack" what was the out the door price for the repairs - "Jack" advised me HE DID NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION and he would call me RIGHT BACK & advise me of the same I then waited for 2 hours, called back Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook and asked for "Jack the Manager" - "Nick" answered the phone and advised "Jack" was doing a "Test Drive", I asked "Nick" approximately how long would it take "Jack" to complete the "Test Drive" - "Nick" advised he did not know - I then advised "Nick" to have "Jack" give me a callback - I waited for another hour called back Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook - "Whammy" answered the phone, and advised "Jack" was at lunch, and did not know what time "Jack" was going to return - I then waited another half hour called back ( I dont know who answered the phone that time ) and was advised "Jack" was still at lunch - 15 minutes later "Jack" calls back and advised since I did not require a Transmission Rebuild, that Aamco Lanham/Seabrook was NOW going to charge me for the "Front End Links as well" and the out the door price was going to cost me $1702.32 - I then asked "Jack" how long would it take for the repairs to be completed - "Jack" advised he did not know, AND HE DID NOT LIKE ME CALLING BACK ASKING ABOUT THE TIME LINE FOR THE REPAIRS ON MY VEHICLE - & ALSO WHEN THE REPAIRS ARE COMPLETE, IF IM HAPPY WOULD I GO ON THE INTERNET AND GIVE THEM A FIVE STAR REVIEW ... AND IM THINKING THIS GUY IS A FRIGGING NUT ... Friday @ 3pm 8/20/2015 I arrived at Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook to pick up my vehicle - "Whammy" advised me if I would give them 5 STAR REVIEW they ( Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook ) would give me a free oil change .. And Im thinking Aamco Transmission Lanham/Seabrook can KISS MY ANKLE & SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!

I’m from the Eastern shore of Maryland and my Mercedes C300 broke down on the I495 a couple of weeks ago while going to work and I was referred by USAA Road Side assistance to use AAMCO in Lanham, MD. When I arrived at AAMCO I was greeted by Jack and the owner, they had many customers in the lobby waiting for repairs and others paying for services rendered. I was very skeptical that my C300 mechanical and possible transmission issues would even have time to be diagnosed that morning. While waiting a few minutes in the lobby, I touched base with some of the customers who were in the process of paying for repairs, all seemed very happy with the service and had been glad they took there car to AMMCO in Lanham, MD. Both Jack and the owner where very helpful and professional, they had a senior mechanic provide a proper diagnoses, my C300 was put on a lift to diagnose metal grinding noise. It was discovered that the Front Propeller Shaft sheared off the base bolts supporting front wheel drive. Jack and his team worked to source parts with local dealers to no avail. However, they continued to source from other vendors outside of the Lanham area. As a Veteran of US ARMY, I was relieved and I can really appreciate the can-do attitude by Jack and his team. Jack was able to not only locate the Front Propeller Shaft in Baltimore, he was able to get the part for $350 savings vs. my searches on the Internet for the same part, plus he was able to source the four bolts from another vendor and was able to expedite parts shipment to Lanham, MD. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle was very thorough, the Front Propeller Shaft is somewhat complicated to remove due to other parts and components nestled around and under The Front Shaft. It’s been a couple of weeks since the repair and they really took care of my C300, it drives great. I’m very happy with the services received from AAMCO, Lanham MD repair center. Thanks guys!

My mazda tribute wasnt shifting into the gears correctly, so I figured it was probably the transmission. I normally go to the dealership, but the local dealership has ripped me off before and I vowed never to take it there again. I looked up some places and found good reviews on yelp for the AAMCO in lanham. When I got to the shop, I realized that I pass the place all the time and never paid attention to what it was. It was my first time here but as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was at a family members house. The staff is so warm and inviting. From the moment I got there, everyone was nice and friendly and professional. Jack was telling me great stories which made me laugh and feel like we were old friends. They looked over my truck, gave me a GREAT price on a transmission rebuild, and started work on it right away. There were no hidden fees and no "extra problems" that seem to magically appear when you go to dealerships. They fixed exactly what they were suppose to fix. I went in on the 29th of December and they had my truck ready on New Years Eve Morning...which was ample time to prepare for tonights events. They even scheduled me a follow up visit which I really liked because it shows dedication to their work and a genuine care for the customer and their cars. I WILL DEFINITELY BRING MY TRUCK BACK.
