Wow, guess somebody had a bad day. Ive been going to see Abdul at Forest Auto for years, about 5 or 6. The parking lot is always crowded and there are always people waiting to get their cars fixed, so the man must be doing something right. There has only been 2 times when I had to leave my car overnight and that was because a part had to be ordered. If I drop my car off at 7am it is ALWAYS ready by the time I get there at 5-6pm. Hell even wait after they close(5pm) to ensure you get the keys to your vehicle. His pricing is very reasonable, in fact, its the reason I continue to see him and he does good work. Ive only had 1 experience where he couldnt fix something and I had to take it to the dealer to run a diagnostic, and he reimbursed me for the cost of it. (NVR would I have expected this) The staff is friendly and helpful and make you feel your business is appreciated. I take both of my vehicles to Forest Auto, along with a slew of my neighbors, friends/acquaintances I run into all the time who have been going to him longer than I have. Ive had body work done here, timing belt/pump, alternator, shocks, muffler, radiator, ABS & brakes, catalytic converter; so I trust the work on my car(s) and I own a recent model Acura and Lexus which I dont take to anybody. To the reviewer below, Im not sure why you had to walk 3 miles in the blistering cold since its a bus stop right out front of the shop going in the direction of DC (addison road, suitland, so. ave metro) and one directly across the street going the other way towards upper marlboro/mitchelville. The last time I checked Metro and PG county buses run after 6:30 7 days a week. Oh, and Ive NEVER seen any mechanic working on anyones car after 5pm, as the owner is the only one left and everything is locked up, including the shop! Not to disagree with anyone but I guess everyone isnt always going to be a happy customer. But Ive never seen anyone leave mad.

NEVER GO HERE!!!!!! please please take my word for it, you will indeed regret your decision to let these LOOSERS (especially the owner Abdul) work on your vehicle, i have been there since 8am had an appointment and was assured all work would be completed by 3pm 4pm tops. Its now 6:30 pm and my car isnt finished i was asked to come back tomorrow, after i explained the importance of my transportation and how my job is at risk he still insisted i can not drive the vehicle off of the lot In turn i had to walk 3 miles home in the blistering cold after dark. I was over charged (500.00 for an oil leak) they treated me like crap and still have not successfully completed the work for a simple oil leak... Please read this 1st before you go to FOREST AUTO for any services.

The prices are fair and Ive heard nothing but good things about the service from my family, but today: Abdul failed to confirm when or if I even wanted to start the work. I was waiting and wondering what was taking him so long to discuss next steps, and I asked if hed taken my car down yet. Apparently theyd already taken off the parts so he decided to charge me $45 for "wasting his time." And I "should have spoken up and let him know" I wouldnt be able to do it today. In addition to that, he lied, claiming I had said "OK, go ahead and start the work." Rude and unreasonable.

Abdul was recommended to me by someone who has been going to him for years, I had my breaks and a cailber changed for the lowest price i was quoted. the work was done in a day and have recommended his service to all of my family that drives. If you can get your car there before they open your car will be fixed and ready for you by the Close of business. He is a good businessman and doesnt try to sell you on anything else being wrong with your car.

What an experience! I called in to get a quote on a serpentine belt tensioner for my 2004 Audi A4 3.0 v6. I dropped off my car in the morning and it was ready by COB. He even allowed me to bring my own parts! That, plus his straight forward labor pricing, saved me almost 75% compared to a dealer! I was so impressed that I left my 95 M3 to have its tie rods checked on. I cant wait to get that back so I can give another great review.

Dont waste your time here id put 0 stars if i could the head mechanic abdul all he does is guess the issue with your car and hopes that it gets fixed i went in for my a/c he told me it was a compressor he replaced it and it still does not work me and a couple of my friends all have the same problem with him guessing the issue for your Car do not even waste your time at all

Love forest auto I take all my cars there for service and also I am the store manager of Valvoline express care, so any problems that occure I cant deal with I send them there asap.. Hes very honest and do very good work.. and like everyone said you drop your car off in the am it will be done at close of business unless he couldnt find your parts..

I met Abdul in 2003 when he worked at Citgo. I followed him to his current location when he opened his own shop. He has always been honest with his work and fair with pricing. The mechanics know their cars very well. Take your car there with confidence knowing that it will be serviced correct the first time.
