I wish I didnt even have to give this place a Poor rating. My wedding was in May of 2010. I booked this place in February of 2010, more than enough time. My bridal party (3 others and myself) got to the salon about 10 minutes early--just in case. I, the bride, went first to get my hair done. I had went for a trial hair run, she did it with ease and precision and my hair turned out great. When she did it for the actual wedding day it seemed as she if was having a difficult time getting it right. Once another salon member became available they started doing my maid of honors hair. Her hair turned out well and it did not take them long at all. All of my bridesmaids were getting the same hair do. Half up/Half down curly. Very simple. While she was still working on my hair and my MOH was getting her hair done, the other two bridesmaids were waiting. They finally took another bridesmaid and her hair looked wretched by the time they were finished. They had to stop multiple times and finish a coloring job on another customer. Even though they were busy with other customers another bridal party came in and they helped two of them before they helped my last bridesmaid. My last bridesmaid went, while we were all waiting. She was passed through 3 hair stylist for one simple hairdo. Her hair looked by far the worst. If they hadnt taken so long I would have refused to pay, but because they took so long we were so short on time. My hair looked decent--not great like the first time. I even got my makeup done there. Everything turned out great except my false eyelashes (which cost 40 dollars) fell out two hours before my reception ended. This did not define or ruin my wedding, but it did ruin the getting ready experience. Brides if you are looking for a salon make sure you really exhaust all options before considering this place. I used to read reviews like this and figure Id take the chance, but I have nothing to gain or lose by writing this--I just want to forewarn you.

Kristy has been my hair stylist for many years. I was completely thrilled when she opened her own salon. There are many reasons why I go to her. First, she has never given me a bad hair cut,color or style. This is such a silly reason but every other person I have ever been to hurts my ears with a comb or brush. Before you go and think I have dumbo ears, I actually have very petite ears. I just hate when the stylist is rough when combing my hair. Like I said it is silly. Secondly she always listens to what I want my hair to look like. I am a natural brunette and she has dyed my hair to blonde, brown, black and red. Cut my hair when it was to my mid back and up past my chin. I joined the military a few years ago and was stationed in Texas. Did I visit another stylist... The answer is NO! I would fly back home and only have Kristy style, cut or color my hair. The salon is nice, kinda an eclectic theme. The Shampoo girls are sweet too. The only other service I ever had their was waxing. If I was to complain about anything it is their prices are a little on the high side for the hair cuts other than that they seem fairly priced on other services. This for me is worth it.

Vivid Salon has a great staff and a great atmosphere. Theyre all very customer service oriented. Jena Beall is the stylist who works on my hair. She is very professional and makes sure her clients are comfortable with her and while at the shop. Ive been going to her since she was still in school at Temple in Annapolis. Shes extremely serious about doing good, quality work and making sure her clients get exactly what they paid for. Shes worked several miracles on my hair after using splat and other horrible box dyes. Shes made my hair look the most natural it ever has in over 10 years, but shes also a very talented color artist. My hair was a rainbow at one point, and that work was so good it was recognized by the unicorn tribe on Instagram and shes now a member of that group. Regardless of if you want a root touch up, or a full vivid color work up, shell make sure it happens and that its high quality. I would recommend her for anything youre considering doing to your hair.

I have been going to this salon for almost two years now. When I called for my first appointment they had asked me if I was looking to see anyone in particular. Since this was my first time I had said "no" and the girl on the other end then told me that Ashley would be the one who would "take care of me". And thats exactly what she did and has been doing since! Ashley is super knowledgeable when it comes to hair. She is honest and gives her opinion to help make every hair experience and change the best for you. She spent about a month helping me decide the best pixie cut for me and my face frame, as well as helping steer me in the right direction when it comes to all the colors weve played with since Ive started there. I always leave there feeling fantastic and full of confidence!! I always get a least one compliment on my hair (whether it be cut or color ) no matter where I go!. I recommend Ashley to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy, honest stylist.

The Ambition Girls did hair, make-up and nails for my Wedding this past November. They did a wonderful job. They came out to my home fully staffed and on time. Kristy did a great job on the make-up. I had false eyelashes applied...not one fell off and I didnt even need to use mascara. Kristy does an excellent job with hair. Color seems to be her specialty, especially foils.But regardless what you get done Kristy will be sure it looks perfect before letting you out the front door. If you are looking for a great nail technician, Shannon is excellent. One of the best parts of a trip to Ambitions is the shampoo, its like a mini head massage. I can promise you, youve never had a shampoo like this and you will LOVE it. Ambitions is reasonably priced and each stylist there has a specialty that makes them stand out. Its a great salon, highly recommended !!

Never Again!!! I was going here for a little over a year, never had a problem, but i came in to get highlights because im getting married next month, my hair is beyond fried, i spent so much money repairing my hair and its still not right, i was treated very rudely first i was deleated from making a comment on their facebook, then i was told they would tell me how to get it back but would charge me. CHARGE Me????????????wtf u screwed up why would i pay more money so u can screw it up more, no thank you ill take my money some where else thank u!!!!

Ive been going to the owner, Kristy for about 7 years now. Ive known all the workers for a very long time. Theyve been nothing but polite, always generous and always willing to assist you. Prices are very reasonable. You bring in a picture of whatever you want, and its cut exactly how it looks in the picture. You have a vision of what type of hair style you want, they will make it come alive! Ambition Salon is a great place, and I WOULD recommend it to everyone around my area.
