Normally Im not one to complain about subpar customer service but I had a terrible experience at this location. I purchased items here during a transaction in which I redeemed my rewards points several weeks ago and I happened to purchase a defective unit of an eyeliner. When I tried to return it I was informed that I would only be receiving $6 (for an eyeliner which was marked $20 at the time of purchase) because I "used my points" on the transaction. During that transaction, I paid outright with cash more than the value of the item which was defective, so today I queried why I could not get a refund for the full item amount since my previous total paid above the point redemption had been more than the value of the one item. The associate then snidely replied that they are not in the business of handing out free money. When I informed her that it must be a matter of perspective, since I ended up paying $4 more today for a replacement for the defective item (which would have been $14 but for the fact that the item happened to be on sale today), she scoffed and rolled her eyes. Very unprofessional, and seem to lack the understanding that if you receive a defective unit that you should be able to procure a non-defective unit without paying for the item again. Will be making purchases online from now on. UPDATE I went to this location during their cut for a cure promotion. I tend to be a value buyer and I wanted to try out their salon before committing to paying full price. I was extremely excited when my number was called and I was placed with a curly haired stylist (as I have curly hair and it can be quite temperamental). I was initially very happy with my cut after the stylist blew it out. However, after wetting and styling in my normal routine, I am very disappointed to find that there is a large section at the front of my head which is significantly shorter than the rest of my hair and which looks lopsided when compared to the other side. There is no way to remedy this without cutting my hair even shorter (which she already cut off quite a bit more than I asked for). As I have explored the cut I received with my hair curly, I have found that the stylist did not cut my hair in the way I asked, but instead did nearly quite the opposite by cutting short layers throughout when I asked to have only the bottom layers evened-up with the top layers. Im once again disappointed with this location, and would not recommend it. Bad customer service, poor listening, and an overall disregard for customers.

Stay away from the so called nail salon unless you want your nails ruined. The manager Jodi did my nails and they stared peeling within a week! Im not rough on my nails, in fact Im pregant so Im not out doing any hard manual labor! She was supposed to shape my nails and instead mis-shaped them. It was so bad that after the third time of asking her to fix it, I offered to take the file and do it myself. Then she got this attitude when I pointed out that my one finger was messed up. Within two weeks I was back to get the polish off, the woman burned fingers on my one hand and ended up filing the polish off on my other hand. No attempt to buff my nails smooth and when I approached the gm she offerEd to refund me the money for the "manicure" but wanted to charge me for the removal! I was floored. Stay home and do your own nails, or have a friend help. This is NOT worth it!

I absolutely love this place! Great staff! I get my hair done here all the time now. Im stylist is Anthony and he is honestly the only person I trust with my hair now! I got the ombré and it looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! I also cut my hair to my shoulders to get rid of the bleach so my hair could grow and I was sooooooo nervous because my hair was long and I absolutely love my short hair now because of the way its styled. Anthony is absolutely amazing! Management is wonderful and the staff is friendly and helpful. Im sure people have bad experiences and bad experiences everywhere....but if you had a bad experience, give this place a second try because i love it and have absolutely nothing to complain about!!!!!

This location is always poorly staffed with a sufficient amount of employees, resulting in an unpleasant shopping experience. Whenever you need assistance, you literally have to search the entire store for an available associate. Trina, who appears to be a manager, is also really rude and lacking in customer service. She always has a disgusting attitude and displays her dislike for doing her job. The shelves are also always unorganized and insufficiently stocked.The overall customer service is poor, and I highly dislike shopping at this particular locations

I had such an awful experience the last time I visited this establishment. I an African American lady was stalked around the store by a manager terribly unprofessional never asked if I needed help and stood behind me as I picked up items to purchase (which I will return) , as a regular customer I had never experienced that. They had no reason to follow me and my friend I will never return to this location, and I advise if you are African American to never visit this location you may be stalked at this discriminating, RACIST prejudice location.

So disappointing. Usually a one star has to be really impactful. This was. My daughter had an appointment for a make up application which they cancelled the morning of the appointment. Cause the artist was sick. One artist? For a full service shop? Then said we could take a chance and drop in and use a vendor but she wasnt sure of the cost or who might be available. Clearly she didnt want to get out of her seat and work for a solution that was to a problem they caused. Bottom line, three hours before the event we are having to scramble.

I have to disagree about the bad reviews of the Hair salon. I have gone twice now and my stylist is Alyissa. I love my color and my cut. Perhaps it depends on the stylist and how you communicate with them. I have naturally curly hair which is a challenge for some salons, but not here. I was tired of paying hundreds of dollars for a color at other salons.....I like that I can save money by pre-booking my next appointment.

Stay away of hair salon in Ulta at Congressional Plaza. It is cheep but your hairs looks cheep after your visit. I had to put water on my head to make me acceptable between peoples. I did not give them any tip, my hairs looks horrible as well as the color. But the shop itself is really good if your know what to buy. Full of very good products. I highly recommend to visit this shop - but shop only!!

Customer service at this store is poor. No one really greets you or asks if you need help, you dont really see associates floating around either unless you really look. The worst experience is when you check out. The staff members I have encountered at the register look miserable and are not very pleasant. I enjoy the make up selection, especially the stock of Bare Minerals products.
