They dont do in-home estimates so be prepared to have them give you an inaccurate estimate and then mysteriously not make it through your space in the time they estimate. They recommended for a house our size that we have four maids for two hours (the equivalent of 8 man hours). They were supposed to deep clean but only made it through 2/3of the house. They didnt do the dishes, they didnt wipe spots on the wall and I generally was not impressed. We have since found another maid service that cleans better for a lower price with half of the people in the same time. I played phone tag with the owner for a couple of weeks but got busy and didnt have time to keep chasing (oh yeah there hours are 9-5, most peoples working hours, certainly mine!) them to make it right. Needless to say Ive written off the $400 I wasted and wont use them again.

My wife and I work full time, and we were tired of spending our weekends cleaning house. So we hired the Maids (of Silver Spring) to clean our home in Kensington. We were a little hesitant to have someone in our home unattended, especially because we have a small dog. But they were completely professional, punctual, and thorough. They really did an impeccable job in cleaning our home. And they even let our dog our to potty, and let him back in. The company was easy to reach and discuss scheduling with. I would certainly recommend their business.

We first hired The Maids to clean our house over 20 years ago, and we have been completely satisfied with them ever since. Our home is cleaned thoroughly and in an organized manner every week. The office staff is friendly and accommodating with any scheduling changes, and the cleaning crew is professional, courteous and careful with our belongings. We are particularly pleased with our Team Leader Sonia who has been cleaning our home for many years. We get real value from The Maids and highly recommend them.

The cleaning job was great. However, on the second job they managed to destroy a charging cord and instead of saying so and showing me, they tucked it away under the couch. Cheap to replace, but I cant trust a company that hides a mistake instead of immediately owning up to it. They said theyd replace it, but for $6 it wasnt worth the bother. Besides, either way I wouldnt trust them back again.

Absolutely fantastic move-out cleaning by the team. Landlord/PEPCO had already shut off power, and they still managed, in the late afternoon hours, to get the place sparkling clean in about 90 minutes. They were super friendly, early for the appointment, and the attention they paid to detail in wainscotting and the blinds was magnificent. Ill never use another service again!

We had to have our house cleaned prior to showing for sale. The Maids did a fantastic job cleaning the *entire* house including walls, furniture, and specialized flooring for our workout room. Loved these guys! They work as a team of 4-5 women....fast, efficient and excellent work. The best vacuums of any maids we have worked with (some strong allergy filter, I think!). House stayed smelling clean and fresh (no fake perfume smells or anything like that ever) for quite a while because it was vacuumed so thoroughly!

At little to no weekend notice, the maids arrived with a call on a Tuesday. Moving out left embarrassing dirt marks but this glitch disintegrated. Can call the maids with a good all around effort.
