The absolute worst plumbing company I have ever experienced in my life. The tech did not even make a real attempt to fix the problem and he was gone in less than 10 minutes. Before he even got started I told him that I would be in my office getting the check ready for the service fee. I got the feeling that he didnt want to be there or that he was in a rush, especially from the look I got when I answered the door. When I called the company on the next business day the receptionist on the phone was very cocky, sarcastic, and unprofessional. While I was trying to explain to her what my concern and disappointment was she accused me of refusing to pay my service fee without truly listening to me. I asked for the manager and didnt quite far with that. I did advise them that I will be calling my home warranty provider and inform them of this. While Im on hold waiting to speak to a rep at my home warranty office, my other phone rings. Its my home warranty provider telling me that this company reported that they were having a hard time getting the service fee from me and what type of extensive work they did. By the time I finished telling the rep what really happened, the company has been placed on a "Do Not Call List." RUN I tell you. Run.
The technicians/plumbers working with this company are professional, pleasant and competent. My issue was not with the plumbers but with the customer service department. A job that should have taken a few days ended up taking two weeks. During the many delays that occurred, lots of emails and voicemails went completely ignored. For almost two weeks there was no heat or hot water as the people at Top Notch scheduled and rescheduled appointments due to staffing issues and lack of communication. I used this company because they were part of my Home warranty. I will never use them again. This is a shame for the plumbing professionals that work for them as the one I had, Rob, was patient and professional. He knew his job and took time to answer my questions without seeming annoyed or impatient. He also seemed genuinely disappointed with the many delays and setbacks that continued to occur.
Michael and his father have always been prompt, courteous and professional anytime I have needed anything plumbing related. I use them not only personally but for our business as well and I have nothing but great things to say about them. I have recommended them to many of my clients and they state the same positive reviews. I think that the reviews below are inaccurate and potentially have this company confused with "top notch heating and air" out of Delaware.
Terry Davis, I am the owner of top notch plumbing. We do not have a receptionist we are a small 3 man plumbing outfit located on the easternshore of Maryland. Two of my guys do new work only and I myself run all service calls. Please delete your review, we are not in the business of scamming or doing sub-par work.
