I called because I had just moved into my new house and the washing machine drained into a sink in the basement which freaked me out. I was afraid the hose was going to pop out and Id have a flood in the basement. They sent someone out right away, even though it wasnt an emergency. He was polite, knowledgeable, and did an inspection on the entire house plumbing while he was there. He found a leak in the basement the inspector missed as well as the fact the garbage disposal was not the correct one for my Quartz sink and it was also cracked in 2 places. He tested the water in front of me and it was loaded with chlorine and was very hard. We also discussed a backup system for the sump pump downstairs because I didnt want it to stop working if the power went out. We finally settled on a charcoal system, salt tank, new garbage disposal, back up for the sump pump, and he put in new lines for the washer so I could turn the valves off between usage and drained it to the correct pipe so it didnt drain into the sink. And he fixed the leak in the basement. He also moved my main water shut off so it was easier to access in case of an emergency. He spent the entire day there until about 7pm and finished everything. He was not pushy nor did he try to scare me into purchasing anything. I decided I wanted them because its a house Im re-doing and intend to be here a long time. I want everything perfect. They dont charge by the hour, they charge by the job and before they start any work they give you the exact price it will be regardless of how long it takes them. I was completely satisfied and everything looked very professional. I would totally recommend these guys and will use them again.

I had an underground leak and had to raise all my pipes to the attic. Benjamin Franklin had the most competitive free quote in the area. They were easy to schedule and sent a team of technicians to my house. The technicians were friendly and down to earth. They moved a big piece of furniture and cleared out closets to get to my plumbing. And I didnt have to clear out my attic. I have to put it all back but that is okay. The drywall cuts were clean and professional. Benjamin Franklin cleaned up and took the drywall trash with them! They did the whole job in one day (they say sometimes it will take two)! Overall, I had a very pleasent experience with Benjamin Franklin and will recommend them to friends and all my social media. You have to find and hire a contractor to repair the drywall and your home owners insurance will cover that. Have the insurance adjustor come out after the plumbing is repaired. On a side note, Do not hire Charles T. Hindsley, General Contractor of Jen-Mel Contracting LLC. He took my money and did not finish the job! Boooo.

Ben Franklin is a very honest company. They work very hard, are very polite and always want to help with the best option for me not just for them. Ive had other companies out and the prices are usually double. The work isnt even as good. Ben Franklin does a better job for less money every time. The last employee out was Charlie Patchell and he was extremely fast and efficient. Definitely a man you want to ask for, really good guy. I had a different company here a few months ago for the same thing. It took Charlie a third of the time to accomplish the same thing with better results. He gave me several options, told me his recommendations and was very understanding if i didnt want the most expensive solution right away. Thank you very much Charlie Patchell and Ben Franklin for helping my mother and her houses very old plumbing system. We will definitely be repeat business. Theres a lot of other things that need to be worked on and replaced. As soon as i have the extra cash, i will be calling you guys first.

I have a house built in 1953 and the pipes are cast iron. The toilet began slipping and sliding around and I decided that all I needed was to tighten the bolts. Boy was I wrong, turns out the entire flange had rusted into red goo and rust flakes. I called to get some help and they quickly set me up with Forrest. Friendly, timely and understanding he put up with my barrage of questions and granted me an understanding of everything I felt I needed to know. Due to my lack of understanding there was additional work that needed to be done. He called his boss and came back with a solution and implemented it swiftly and efficiently. He even put up with the occasional quizzical eye of my 2 year old son who was curious as to the banging coming from the bathroom. After the work was done he cleaned up, we finished up the paperwork and was on his way. Because of the nature of the work there was a coupon on their web page that even lowered the bill. I am very satisfied with both him and his company. :)

In our second home in Delaware, we discovered a leak in our water heater! We were scheduled to return to our primary residence the following day so finding a reliable plumber was crucial. There were many unsuccessful calls but the one to Ben Franklin Plumbing was a winner. The technician, Billy Cook, was there within an hour. He was a pleasure to deal with assessing the damage and offering a quote. A second tech, John Noble, arrived to help with the removal and subsequent installment. They were both courteous snd proficient in their work - explaining the reasons for its failure and offering suggestions for maintenance. A bad situation was made right. We owe this company our thanks and highly recommend them to others. Billy and John - YOU ROCK!

I was very happy with the technician who came to my house to check out my sump pump, which wasnt working. Forrest Grant called me from Ridley Township, saying hed arrive within 1/2 hour, but he arrived sooner. He was mannerly, patient answering all of my questions, and, after trying to fix it, let me know that it needed to be replaced. Thank God, he had one in his truck. He installed it in no time. He also let me know about the insurance plan which will protect my plumbing and my hot water heater. I did sign up for it too. Forrest is a very friendly, kind person. He is definitely a great asset to your company. All of your employees should have his personality and know-how. Thank you for sending him to my house. Anita Short

Went above and beyond for us; great company, and Tyler B. is a great plumber! We had a clogged sink for weeks, tried multiple times to unclog it ourselves, asked friends with tools, everything, and nothing worked. After our last failed attempt, we called Ben Franklin at 2pm on a weekday, and they were here an hour later, no emergency fees requested. Tyler arrived, and told us what our bill was going to be before starting any work, and got right to it. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and tidy, and before we knew it our sink was back to 100%! What little mess was made during his visit was promptly cleaned before he left. Once again, great guy, great business, and budget friendly as well; I highly recommend!
