Extra Space Storage is perfect for someone in need of a little extra space to store some Christmas decorations or for someone needing a place to put their stuff while waiting to move into a new apartment. Plus, the first month is always free, even if youre only renting for one month! It might be smart to call ahead and let the front desk know youre coming, because sometimes they arent in the office. So thats something to keep in mind when getting ready to go over and rent a storage space. Once you have your unit selected and paid for, the person at the front desk gives you a special code and then takes you up to your new storage unit. You then put your lock on the door and tada! Youre all set. Extra Space Storage does not have 24 hour access, but it is open from about ten hours a day. There are security cameras and an employee checks the locks every morning and night to make sure nothing has been tampered with. AND AND AND!!! There is parking right outside the access elevator. They also provide medium sized dollies so you dont have to carry those heavy boxes or pieces of furniture through the massive building by hand. It makes moving in and out fast and relatively easy. Its a safe, user friendly spot to store your things. I highly recommend it.

Weve had a unit at ESS in Towson for almost 2 years now. Recently, a rate hike inspired us to downsize to a smaller unit. I cant say enough good things about Tammy and Ed. Tammy showed me a bunch of units and was very patient while I made up my mind. Ed agreed to hold the new unit until I could arrange for some assistance for the move. We set a date and time for the move and I came in to sign the papers. Ed was able to save me even more money than Id anticipated. He was able to navigate the computer system and get all of the documents ready in no time. Nice e-sign presentation too. It was quick and painless. Theyre just nice people and a pleasure to do business with. The storage facility is very clean and well lit (bathroom too!). I feel safe there and feel that my belongings are safe as well. If I had a single gripe it would be that there are no dumpsters for tenants. Im sure that with a facility this size, that could get overwhelming but it seems that the corporate profit margin could withstand it.

I do not recommend this location. I had reserved a unit at this facility, but they day I planned to move my belongings in I was in a car accident which delayed everything relating to my move, and resulted in my husband and our movers driving to this facility 30 minutes before closing time. The GPS said my husband would arrive a few minutes before closing time, so I called and reminded that we had spoken earlier in the day, let them know what had happened, that my husband and movers were on their way, and asked to make sure they would still help us so close to closing time. Anne and Tammie were very rude and told me absolutely not, and simply said to have my movers return the next day when they reopened. I was very disappointed, because they had sounded so friendly earlier in the day. As a result I was helped by the Extra space storage facility down the street on 203 Joppa Rd, and am very happy I ended up there instead.

Extra Space Storage made it a pretty seamless moving process. The loading docks in close distance to the elevators/offices made it really easy to move and there were plenty of moving carts. I was also shown the unit and requested a change and ended up with a much better option at the same price! Paperwork was quick and it all went very smoothly. Very clean units and nice people to work with. One negative would be that some of the hallways to the units are fairly narrow. This made it more difficult to load some bigger items into the smaller units. Its easy to unload the truck and get it to the elevator but getting the couch from the cart into the unit was tough because there wasnt much extra room to work with. Once I figured that out though it was great!

Great Facility and great service. I too have nothing but great things to say about Joanne and Tonya. They were super friendly and most accommodating to solve our storage need for my college sons gear hell need next September. The facility is immaculately clean, climate controlled, easy to find, parking available, hand trucks at the ready, all at an affordable price. We highly recommend this Extra Space Storage facility to any other Loyola, Hopkins, Towson State, or Morgan State students. We will be customers of Extra Space Storage in the coming years while my son finishes Loyola. Great job Joanne!

Storage Units are just Storage Units - A place we rent to maintain all the items we are protecting - What makes a Storage Unit like EXTRA STORAGE so different is the personal touches you get or/not - ANN makes or has made all the difference to why I use this location. Its the little things she does to ensure you are taken care of, that you are a person in a need who is treated with all the kindness and respect as a person - not just a Number ! I recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone looking for a friendly, easy, hassle-free storage experience. Not only is the facility clean, well monitored, and safe, but the two lovey ladies working the front desks are an absolute joy. The first day we signed the lease for the space, we were going to be a few minutes late (we thought wed miss them before theyd close), and we got there about five minutes before close, and they still let us sign the lease and showed us our unit. One of the best customer service experiences ive ever had.

Excellent service, very friendly staff, clean, nice facility. great location. The only surprises that were not positive were being told after I arrived I had to buy a lock and insurance. Letting you know at time of reservation that you had to add a minimum of $15 insurance per month is a must! As for a lock, I suppose it makes sense, but having never rented storage before, I just assumed it was a key lock and at most you would have to given them a deposit for the key. I had a lock in one of the packed boxes going into storage!

Great service! Went out of their way to make sure everything was made easy for me. Seeing as Im a broke college student they worked with me to make sure everything was in my price range! I have a horrible memory and Robyn had to show me where my space was at least 3 times but she didnt mind. Robyn was super nice! its nice to have someone to make conversation with when youre walking all around a facility instead of having awkward silence so that was nice. Overall, wonderful experience! definitely recommend (:

I stored the contents of my apartment in Extra Space Storage, Towson, for the last 10 years. My belongings were preserved in perfect condition and I was able to easily access my unit, whenever necessary. The Manager, Tammie and Ms. Ann, were first rate; in fact, all of the staff are exceptional. If I had to do it all over again, I would! I would highly recommend ESS, Towson, to any one who is in need of storing his or her belongings. It is an exceptional company with exceptionally professional staff.
