They were all too willing to tell me that my stuff would get there by the move-in date only to do an about-face on my move out day, when they told me that it could arrive up to fourteen business days later. I suppose I should count myself lucky that I only had to spend eight days sleeping on an air mattress. I kept calling to ask when my stuff would leave DC and the date I was told kept changing. At a certain point, I could only get someone to pick up the phone if I switched off my caller ID, leading me to believe that they might have been screening my calls. I called them to inform them about inclement weather at the destination. Unfazed, they set a delivery date in downtown Houston during hurricane Harvey. The driver arrived during hurricane Harvey without a crew. So it was just the two of us moving my things into the apartment (with me doing half the work). I would probably ask for a partial refund if I had the time or energy to deal with this company. But Im just glad to be done with them. The upsides are that all of my stuff did ultimately arrive undamaged, and that the pick-up crew and delivery guy (singular) were professional. I went with them (among all the moving companies from which I got quotes) in large part because they offered the lowest price and their sales rep assured me that my stuff would get there on time. I wouldve gladly paid more for better service, or dealt with the hassle of moving myself via U-Haul if I had known how this would turn out.

The delivery guys were very careful and professional. The issue is the sales department. They will say anything to get you locked in, then they dont uphold their verbal promises. But theyre covered by the contracts fine print. Here are the things we were assured of that turned out to be false: 1) " Even if youre not sure about your cubic footage, the price wont change too much from you initial quote". We ended up paying $1000 more than our original quote. 2) "We can stop by your storage unit to pick up the rest of your furniture". The night before the move, we found out this was untrue. And now were stuck having to make other arrangements. 3)"There are absolutely no hidden fees". They tried to charge us for "elevator use" and tape. 4)"We can guarantee you a delivery day". Our stuff was delivered 9 days after we moved in. And we didnt know until the day before when it was coming. 5) "Call me anytime if you have any issues". I cannot get anyone on the phone and no one will return my messages.

Mid Atlantic Van Lines was recommended to me by one of my friends so I decided to call them for a moving quote. The price was a little higher than a few other estimates I received but I realize you get what you pay for and they were recommended so I decided to book with them. They arrived early to my house, which was great because I asked for the earliest possible pickup time. The crew were all skilled movers, they knew what they were doing because they carefully packed 20 boxes in the time it took me to pack two. Additionally, I was happy to see them show up at my new house the day before the scheduled delivery. The move went smoothly and I am a satisfied customer. Thanks again.

Mid Atlantic Van Lines was a positive moving experience. They knew how to properly allocate my belongings into their licensed truck without breaking or damaging anything. My belongings made it to my new residence in one piece. They are also competitively priced compared to other companies. I would recommend them with confidence!

Overall I was satisfied with my moving experience. It wasnt a big move, I moved locally and it was from a storage facility into a warehouse. Everything went well from the estimate to final delivery. I would use them again in the future.
