Well I spent $80 to have my new tires mounted and balanced. I was told the rims were pretty bad in terms of corrosion around the seal and that was why I was charged $20 instead of the typical $15 per tire. I drove the car on the highway a few days later and I noticed a very heavy shimmy/ shake at about 76 mph. The car never shook prior to the new tire installation. I called Franklin Tire and Auto and the first thing the mechanic said to me was " I cannot do it today, maybe tomorrow.".......He screwed up the balancing of my tires so that my car shakes on the highway but he is not sure if he can fit me in. I rate Franklin Auto and Tire a ZERO for their work and for their customer service. I am writing this because I am annoyed. I am sick of small auto repairs being done incorrectly the first time causing me to spend more of my time getting the car repaired again. I do most of my auto repairs myself for this reason. I do not recommend Franklin Auto and Tire to do any work on any vehicle. If they cant do a simple tire balance correctly the first time how can they be trusted with brakes or any other more important job. I will write another review detailing my next experience with Franklin Auto and Tire as they rebalance my four tires on Saturday. Hopefully I can be more positive.

There are two things these guys badly need - communication and organization. Ive been there four times - driving factor is convenience and price. Each time I have walked in, they seem to listen to what I have to say, take my keys then ask me to repeat the problem again so they can jot it down on a coffee stained calendar. They will say when they will look at, but never call if that time or day passes. You have to call and be the nagging customer (I hate that). Its a shame because they are great guys. They could make a fortune with that place. If you guys are reading this, start with the following changes. A laptop at the counter so you can enter in the customer, see their history and set a reminder to call them with a STATUS. A dry-erase board so all the guys know whose car is there and the status of the repair. Its a small enough joint that someone should be able to update you, if the boss is not around (empower your staff). Lastly, someone committed to calling and updating customers. Its the little things guys...they go a long way!

Several years ago, I posted a poor review of these guys, complaining that they did not pay attention to the requests we made, but stating that we have given them lots of chances, because they are local and friendly. Since that post, the business has changed hands, and we have been using them again as our regular mechanic. Im pleased to say that the new management have addressed all of my concerns. The staff are helpful and friendly, and are honest and responsive to our needs (they look after two old cars for us and have kept them both on the road long after they should have been consigned to the scrap heap). I recommend them highly.

I needed to replace a tire on my Nissan Pathfinder. Called around to 4 different places they beat Sears $20 (and would be a week to order), they beat the dealership by $50, and BJs did not carry the tire I needed. Although Franklin Tire and Auto did not carry the tire, they told me they would order it and have it for installation on my car in 3 hours. I called back in 3 hours and was told to bring my car in. They dropped what they were doing to get me installed and out in 15 minutes. I would recommend this local dealer and will return for issues with my car.

brought a car in for oil change and to replace a blinker. got a call saying it was all set and when i went to pick it up the guy litterely said "hey you know your blinker goes a mile a minute, you want us to look at that?" (fast blinker is the call sign of a broken blinker-the reason i asked them to look at it!!!) no excuse for not knowing that. place seems slow and unorganized with the obvious lack of communication between who i talked to on the phone and who worked on my car, Millis tire and auto all the way!!!

I will ALWAYS use this place for my auto repairs. They are honest and have made several repairs to my cars. My entire family uses them for routine maintenance(inspection and oil changes) and exhaust repairs. They have saved me over $1000 in one case on suggested repairs by a local Ford Dealer on my Explorer that were not required. I will not return to that dealership. All repairs are timely and always courteous and the prices are very fair. Delighted Customer!

My experience with Franklin Tire has always been a positive one. They charge much less than the dealerships and are honest and forthright about repairs. They are excellent with normal maintenance items, oil changes, tires, brakes etc.. They dont try to upsell you like many dealerships do. Give them a try. They are small, so if you need your oil change in 30 minutes or less they may not be the place for you.

Not your usual mechanics. These guys truly care about their work and focus on fixing the problems without jacking up prices or do unnecessary work. If you expect fancy service, shiny facility this may not be the place for you. If you need trustworthy people providing quality work plain and simple this is the place to go when you are having car troubles.

I find them to always provide high quality repairs...prior to bringing my cars here it seemed every mechanic I brought my car to would fix a problem and cause another one. They fix the car and fix it right. Ive found their pricing and service to be in line for what I would expect to pay for my car repairs.

Highly recommend. Honest, priced right and no job to small or too big. From head gaskets on Land Rovers to ball joints and wheel bearings on Toyotas to AC repairs on Hondas. Great people!
