Five stars for easy access, location and customer service. Chuck was great in explaining things up front, and when I transitioned to different sized units. I always found him to be polite, and friendly. The facility and staff did everything that I would have expected of them. I rented a unit of different sizes for several years. I just finally emptied my last unit and ended my rental in June 2016. If I have need of a unit again, I would certainly consider renting at this facility again. If this is your first time renting a storage unit pay attention to the explainations up front. I setup autopay, and got some insurance on my stuff. Based on the terms in the contract you will be unhappy very quickly if you dont pay on time. The facility has near 100% of units rented for the last year, so sometimes some unit sizes are unavailable. One of the things I find the rent payments help clarify over time is how valuable is your stuff to you actually - What is it costing to store versus replace something later? You will need to setup an appointment to get your first unit. Rates go up a little bit at the beginning of each year. Rentals are month to month, but you need to make sure that you let the staff know you have moved out so you dont continue to get charged. The facility has gated, personally coded access. You will be given a lock for your unit as part of your rental. The facility has 4 hand carts to help move your stuff to and from your vehicle, but during peak weekend times, or if people are hogging them you may have trouble getting one. The lights are on motion sensors in the coridors - if you are in your unit for an extended period of time, they may turn off - bring a light source if you have a bigger unit that you need to sort through stuff in (a cheap LED lattern was my light of choice). The elevators are fairly slow. While it costs a little extra to be on the first floor, I would definitely recommend it if you need frequent easy access, and are moving things in and out a lot. I also see the second floor as more desirable than the third.

I lost my debit card a few weeks ago; I had my bank put a temporary hold on it, just in case I found it and wouldnt have to wait for a new one in the mail. When I requested the hold, I specifically asked them if my automatic payments for various things would be affected--they said no. Unfortunately, that was not true and my Public Storage payment was not applied on August 1st. On August 3rd, I was called by Public Storage to notify me of the issue and remind me to update a card on file or make a payment by the 6th, to avoid being charged a late fee. I was out of area and did not actually get the message until August 7th. I was so frustrated by the whole thing (losing the debit card, the hold affecting automatic payments I was told wouldnt be affected, getting a fair-warning voicemail...then MISSING the fair-warning voicemail by a day...) UGH! Then theres Chuck :) I walked into the Lexington St. location, and explained everything to Chuck, and apologized for all the confusion. He looked at my account history and confirmed I had not been late on any of my other payments, and offered to help me get the late fee waived. He provided me with a customer service number, and walked me through the menu until I was on the line with the appropriate party. The woman on the line was also pleasant and helpful, and agreed to waive my late fee this one time. Once Chuck had the confirmation, he went ahead and removed the late charge, and allowed me to pay in cash for August. Its so relieving when things just work out, people are helpful, and you dont have to go the rest of the day with a headache. Thank you, Chuck, and Public Storage for making this inconvenience EASY for me. Its genuinely appreciated!

Great location, all your packing needs in one place. Easy going and helpful staff!I was particularly pleased by Chuck Browns assistance. Over the last three times i needed to purchase materials for my move this past August, Chuck was happy to help be figure out what i needed. He his good sense for what is needed for various kinds of moving jobs and he pointed out i did not have enough tape for the job i was setting out to do—50 book boxes to move a library. He was right! I used all three rolls when i originally only thought to purchase 1. He pointed out that i could save funds if I purchased a few more boxes in order to get 15 free boxes and not only did i use all of them but came back for more. I appreciated the way Mr brown was helpful, but not pushy and i deeply appreciated his patience when i did not have a receipt and we needed to look at previous receipts from the month to find my invoice to be reimbursed for the unused Medium sized boxes that i eventually returned. Highly recommended

This facility offered some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Even the best laid moving plans come with a level of stress that seems unavoidable. From the moment I arrived at Public Storage in Waltham, the property manager Chuck explained the options, reviewed the facility all so throughly that I left feeling confident about my decision to store my furniture between moves. On the occasion I needed to call with questions Chuck was there in a friendly and professional manner to answer them all. On moving day when my mover did not show up he was there to lend a phone and an ear as I lamented what to do next. By the end of the day the movers arrived and it was Chuck who sent me on to wait for the movers at my new home while he would stayed to make sure they were able to exit the gate. The facility is clean and well maintained! Thank you Chuck!!!

My experience with Joseph, Chuck, and Ben has been terrific. Once I signed up by internet, they contacted me immediately and took me through what was required. When I showed up in person they talked through with me the size of the unit given what I was going to store. After they affirmed the size with me, they got me through the paperwork expeditiously. They then gave pointers for moving my things into storage, and even told me about a mover who many of their customers had said good things about. They did this with great customer service, a friendly demeanor, and they had great fluency of the things they need to do their job. Its been a pleasure to be doing business with them, and I highly recommend Public Storage in Waltham, MA.

A business is only as good as the people or person running it. I have never met the CEO of Public Storage, but I dont need to because Chuck Brown IS the face of Public Storage for me, and he does a great job. I have some (sentimental) irreplaceable stuff in my storage unit in Waltham, and it feels good knowing that someone like Chuck is making sure the facility is running smoothly and securely. We changed banks recently and missed updating a couple of direct-debit accounts, one of which was Public Storage. Chuck gave me a call to alert me of an impending late fee, and he was even sympathetic and told me that he knew what an otherwise great payment record we had. I really appreciated that. Youre a good man, Chuck Brown!
