After years of reliable honest and trustworthy repairs I will never again frequent Clay Auto. Not sure what has changed but my last 2 experiences here were much less than great. I brought my sons car in for service in January. We asked for oil change, Wiper blades and to check out the brakes. I received a call that to fix the car right the brakes and other work would be over $1500. For an old unreliable car we decided to not do the work and buy a new car. They did however already complete the oil change and wiper blades. Along with the charge to look at the brakes the cost was $118.26. Seems like a lot and that they should not have done this work before looking at the brakes but given my history with them I paid and went on my way. Last week I brought my car in for an oil change and balance, rotate and alignment as I was having some noise when turning. They called to inform me that it was in fact my brakes and that I need (2) new front tires. I told them to do the brakes and oil change and that there was no need for alignment or balance & rotate because I would be getting new tires shortly. After getting the bill they charged me $69.95 for balance & rotating the tires. I called to inquire and Mark (the service rep.) said that I told him to do the work. I disagreed and said that I did not want the balance, rotate and alignment and he tells me that the work was already done before I told him. in an aggravated manner he did offer me a "free" oil change but I dont see myself going back.

I would never go to these people again, they did a horrible job on my car. They replaced my bumper after an accident and had the nerve to tell me it was done and they left primer all over the front bumper on the side and the paint job had more bubbles than soapy dish water. I was not happy at all with their services or their customer service, i guess you need to spend more than 3,000 on repairs for them to provide you with some descent service.

Great service with reasonable pricing. The crew were polite and fair with a special shout out to Don. Thank you! The shop is right next to the Bellevue Commuter Rail, so it’s easy to drop your car off if you work in Boston.
