Locked In Over Night! Public Storage as a company has been pretty good for me. Ive rented multiple units from this company in the past 10 years and have always had a decent experience.But this location proved to be the WORST experience ever. The on-site personnel was well aware that I was driving 12 hours from Mississippi to store by widowed fathers household belongings and they were well aware that I had to leave immediately after packing the unit. I was told that I could not get in after a certain, but I was NEVER told that I would be locked in. Me, my son, another relative, a car and the moving truck was literally inside the gates of this place overnight. I had to pay for a hotel, an additional day with the truck and all 3 of us lost a day of work. This "oversight" cost me so much money that it took months to recover financially. After expressing my concern and detailing my loss, I was told that I should have known that if I couldnt get out since I was told I couldnt get in. Even the local fire and police were angry about this. If there is ever a fire after hours, everyone one could lose their possessions at this place. As soon as I can afford to move my dad to another place I am clearing my things out immediately.

I have to say this is the worst experience I have ever had with a storage facility. When I first got the storage I was offered 2 month special 50% off,that did not happen,I was told the girl got fired for offering that. Ok so then every month was a different amount ,I questioned it and they said it was the insurance, ok so the next month is was increased again ,ask again why. They said oh its the insurance ,well now Im like I got to move out of here,so today all I have left is sofa and love seat so my son gets off work later so I stop in office to let them know that unit will be empty today what time does the gate close,women replies you have to have it out today before we leave or we charge another month, LMAO. So I go get a truck and moved it out by 4.30pm today,so watch out even though rent is due on 1st if your belongings are not out by six before they leave you are charged the entire month. Terrible business, I would not recommend using any public storage facilitys.

Great facility! I got a great rate on a 10X15 unit for storing my 2 ATVs by watching the list of units they had available online. It was the best price in town by far and I everything seemed very secure. My only complaint is that its kindve rediculous that if youre inside the storage facility compound after they close (9 pm), youre locked INSIDE! This happened to me because I tried to leave a few minutes after 9 and my key code would not work from inside the unit. I would have been locked inside over night had I not called the number on the public storage website and got them to give me temporary extended access. However, this must have messed up my code when the extended access expired, because my code would no longer work when I returned a few days later. The office staff gave me a new code and all was well again. Still a great experience, as it was secure and a good value.

Dealing with one of the hardest times in my life.. The last thing I wanted to deal with was storage. (I have had issues with other places with rude workers) I had scouted several places. Till I came here.. Kim is amazing worker and a kind soul. She walked me through everything. She was rather busy but took the time to go show me exactly what the sizes of units looked like.. I thought I could get away with a smaller unit. But as we was talking, and man she is good at knowing what all will fit in each space. So I decided on a larger unit. which Im glad I did.. Everything fit perfect! All I can say... Is if you need storage... Kim is the Lady to see! She is knowledgeable on what will fit in the boxes they sell and the supplies needed! Im so so so glad I gave this place a try! Public Storage will always get my business with her there! Awesomesauce!

Allen Park location on Enterprise... Nina ROCKS!!! I Give Her ALONE 5 STARS! ***** She was a God-send thru what quickly went from being a stressful situation from dealing with a foreclosure to a feeling of rage from hearing that Public Storage was accusing me of owing them over $150!!! Nina was calming and professional but empathetic. She showed compassion for me during a hectic time-period without judgment and I truly Thank her for that. Whatever theyre paying her isnt enough. Rachel, the Dist. Mgr., called me and straightened everything out and restored their high reputation for caring about their customers and I appreciate the time she took from her schedule to handle my issue personally.

First they give you a great price but then they lie about you needing insurance. You dont. In fact it is actually against the law for them to insist that you do. Only after you insist, 3 times, that you wont do they let you sign an insurance waiver. Then they insist that you have to use their lock. Again, you dont, and only after you refuse to buy their lock, 3 times again, do they let you use yours. And finally, after youve been in there for 3 or 4 months they slowly raise the rate. It seems to be corporate policy because Ive heard the same story from many people storing stuff at other Public Storage facilities. There are other places run way better and much more honest.

I dealt with Kristine, who made me feel like I owned the place the moment I walked in. Very upbeat, professional and detailed. A pleasure to deal with for sure. I have to say I was more than upset only at HER working conditions. I asked her if they had a coffee machine there, and she informed me that corporate thought a coffee machine would be an eye sore. As cold as it was, with her and Erik having to go out in the weather and ice, and not even have a cup of coffee to come back too...come on Corporate, I bet you have plenty of coffee where you are at...help out the people that help pay your salaries!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

I have used Public Storage for years now, and Ive always appreciated their customer service. Today I was a little confused just as to what it was that I was long for, and where it was and just as I was about to just say "forget it" The manager on site (Courtney Grant) helped me out a great deal. She helped me locate boxes. know that by not knowing exactly what I was looking for it was probably frustrating, but she was VERY patient with me, and actually turned it into a fun experience. I thought it was very thoughtful for the manager herself to come help me. Made my day.

I was in distress about where to take a truck full of furniture...most of the other place were not willing to work with me on the size I needed, and wanted to charge a high price on the size I did not...most were not willing to be opened for the Times I needed...The young lady I worked with at public storage, I love her! she waited for me to get there and extend the time for us due to the weather which was horrible, and made us aware we could get stuck...I really appreciate Ms, Melissa, she is a special lady....Thank you for your service to me....
