The shower valve in my bathroom got a leakage problem. And it did not allow me to change water temperature without changing the water flow. I went to their counter and the technician said it should be a simple fix. A Moen valve spline diagram was also explained to me on how the water temperature can be changed without impacting the water flow. After the service, leakage was fixed but the water temperature problem was the same. The same technician even told me thats the way it is. Later on, they sent me an invoice of more than $158 for 15 minutes service. I told them Im willing to pay half of what they charged for the reason I described above. Of course they cashed the check right away but they keep sending me the bill with the other half plus the accumulated interest ignoring what I said in the letter. I will continue to fight and see who wins. Those who dont care the customers should be left out of business. I would never use them again and I would not recommend them to anybody.

Dealing with multiple (unexpected) renovations for almost a full year, weve worked with many different people; some great and some not so great, and weve learned how to tell the difference. Hutzel is great. We hired them in the beginning of our renovation; other people who have worked on our home have commented on how good the plumbing is. We hired them again to finish the job. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and respectful of our home. The professional who worked on finishing up the renovation with our sink/disposal/dishwasher answered my many questions and explained things to me that will be useful if I need to do some simple fixes myself. It is a rare and precious thing to find a company that cares more about its clients than profits. Good plumbing is an investment for the future. Our huge, unexpected renovation was the result of a past owner going with the least expensive offer. Hutzel was not the cheapest offer we got, but they are worth far more than they charge.

Bottom line: charge extra time, and do not come on time. Ill never call them again. Johnny scheduled to 12 pm, but called on 9:30 to verify that Im home because hes on his way. I wasnt but I managed to get there at 9:45. He did something for 15 minutes - played with the furnace and said I needed to replace the filter. He left the driveway at 10:00. I was charged for 45 minutes! When I called, they checked with him and he claimed to have been here for 38 minutes. They said that even if he was her for 15, he had to do two minutes of paperwork, and 17 is rounded up to 30, so theyre willing to negotiate and charge me for 30. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK, TIME ESTIMATES OR ARRIVAL TIME! I hope he at least did something to have my furnace work as should for the upcoming winter. Since this is our first home with a furnace it is too soon to judge. Ill never call them again.

I just hired Hutzel to install central A/C for summer, and a furnace-attached humidifier for winter. The installers arrived exactly when they said they would, were very clean, friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job. They charged me exactly what I was quoted before the job, even though they had to call in an electrician and do a few other things that hadnt been expected by the estimator. In fact, when I asked if they could also do an extra job while they were there (hooking up a gas dryer vent) they didnt even charge me for the extra materials or labor! This is my second positive experience with Hutzel, who did some major plumbing work for me a couple years ago. They were great then, and I have definitely recommended them to friends who have said they were very happy with them too.

Horrible experience with an estimator who works for the company. He came to my house and said he was "busy," but would email me the quote within a week. I called a week later, he tells me "Ill email it to you within the next few days." A week later, still nothing. I called again, complained to the owner, and told him that I have been waiting for two weeks. The owner had the estimator call me back and this estimator guy was very rude and agitated over the phone (clearly upset that I complained to his boss). After a good 16 days he finally emailed me a quote and he quoted me double the price of any other company (clearly intentional and vindictive). Very unprofessional and rude estimator. Hutzel will not ever get my business or my familys business due to this negative experience with one man.

Hutzels installed a new hot water heater in my home on October 13, 2015. I was greatly impressed with the two installers who did their best to put down runners to protect my kitchen floor and carpeted stairway down to the basement. Both also wore covers over their shoes. These efforts indicated that Hutzels had my best interests in mind during the install. The instillation was done expertly, and the new hot water heater works well. Both men were very courteous and interesting to talk with. I liked the fact that installers from Hutzels belong to a union which is very important to me. I also provided positive feedback on Angies List which I am a member. I am happy that I purchased and had my hot water heater installed by Hutzels. I recommend Hutzels to anyone.

My central air system went out and I called Hutzel..they got me serviced on the same day during the peak season of 90° temperatures… I I met BJ who is a United States Veteran. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. He diagnosed the problem right away for my system and he did not try to upsell me on anything ! He explained to me what the problem was and what caused it, so I can work hard to prevent it from happening again. Additionally, He sprayed off my system, he checked my furnace filter and inspected my thermostat. I am grateful for him being a Veteran but also working for me and treating me in a respectful manner! This company is just a scam. I had a problem in air conditioning unit of our store which is on the roof. A guy came to our store, went to the roof and checked the outdoor unit. He told me that there is no power in it and I need a electrician and left. About 10 days later, they charged me $231 (1.5 hrs x $124 & $45 trip charge). After discussion through phone, they offered to lower the work hour to 1 hour. So they charged me $169 for doing nothing!!! A few days later, an electricain came to our store and found a fuse was blown out. He replaced it and A/C is working now I hope everyone to stay away from Hutzel. They will just take your money without doing anything.

We will NEVER use this company again. We needed someone to come look at our pump, which was still covered under the year warranty, because it wasnt working right. The man that came was so rude. He tried to accuse us of putting foreign objects into the toilet & made it VERY clear if he found anything "it wouldnt be a warranty call." Of course, he didnt find anything (common sense to a group of adults that toilet paper is the only thing that should go in the toilet!). He was so unfriendly & to top it off he hit my car when backing out of our driveway! We will definitely find a new company for any plumbing needs in the future.
