Ed from Sinks to Sewers did an excellent job repairing and replacing 3 of my faucets in my condo. Unfortunately, he also did an excellent job of chatting for an hour in the middle of his work. This meant I was charged an extra hour for the service. This didnt bother me so much at first because when he was done, I needed the him to stay and talk to my home warranty people. They needed to confirm the cost and the repair work in order for them to cover everything. Ed ended up confusing them on the cost of everything, and it took a little longer than expected. He ended up getting very angry, yelling at me, and slamming his things on my counter. I gave him his check and politely asked him to leave me house. By the time this all went down, he stayed an extra 30 minutes. Given that I he wouldnt stop talking and get back to work for about an hour, I thought this was fair. I would not recommend Sinks to Sewars, or at least would not recommend starting a conversation with Ed. He will waste time, and charge you for it. He may also become agitated, loud, and violent. I will never call them again for any service.

I agree with Jason, you can do better, I also had a problem regarding them standing behind their work. They fixed a bath diverter for me, charged me a service call, additional labor of 1/4 of an hour and a kings ransom for a standard trim kit. 16 months later the diverter stops working and I call them out to, in my opinion, refix what I already paid them to fix, and they bill me again because they only stand behind this work for one year, on top of this they SAID NOTHING!. I complained and THEN they explain that the handles have been "aggressively" used, hence the early failure. This bathtub is used by a petite female on a daily basis, although according to STS she must have the hand strength of a gorilla. ... or did they use cheap cheap replacement parts? Bottom line for me, STS will nickel and dime you at any opportunity, my house is a mile from their office, the part needed was a 50 cent washer, and their "warranty" was a mere four months past expiration and they couldnt be bothered to make the customer happy. Youve been warned!

You can do much better. Had STS out a few years ago to fix a clogged drain in my basement, and again in 2/11 for the same problem. Both times they snaked it, told me the problem was solved, took my money and left. Come March, the same drain backs up again, flooding my basement with sewage. I called STS to say "Werent you supposed to have fixed this a month ago?" They say, "Actually it was 40 days ago, so youre no longer covered under our guarantee. If you want us to come back, youll have to pay full price." Got another plumber out here (A+ Drain and Sewer, who was fantastic.) He took one look at the situation and realized that it had been incorrectly diagnosed--twice. Or rather, STS never bothered to try to diagnose it. They never noticed that the backflow valve for that drain that was clogged, because they never even looked. So of course they never actually fixed the problem. They did get a few hundred dollars of my money. In my experience, STS was not competent or interested in correctly diagnosing my problem, nor in standing behind their work.

Brian of Sinks to Sewers just left my house. He was above and beyond excellent. My leaking kitchen sink was fixed, while I watched and asked questions. Before he left, I asked him about our bathroom toilet that has been making a long whistling nouse after flushing. He asked if he could look at it and then quoted a very reasonable price. He fixed it and did not tack on additional costs. He also took the time to show me, how I can fix things myself (as I, prefer to do so normally). As a small business owner myself, the work and customer service was what I do daily. To see another small business do the same, is what why I am writing this review.

Sinks to Sewers is a fantastic family owned business. Brian, who came to address our problem, works along side his older brother, mother, and father, who initially started the business. Brian was prompt, courteous, friendly, and very helpful. He quickly diagnosed the cause of the problem and went to work. Since Im a bit inquisitive, he happily explained to me exactly what he was doing and why. He cleaned up before leaving, and even took time to answer a number of unrelated plumbing questions I had. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs. The cost was very reasonable, and their parts and labor come with a 1-year warranty.

Everyone at Sinks to Sewers is very professional and really concerned about helping the customer. I felt that Pat did a great job helping to diagnose my problem over the phone, and really explained how the floor drains in my house work. I was pleased that Eddie and MIke arrived quickly, did a qreat job of cleaning out the drains and getting us back to normal very quickly at reasonable prices. They also explained all of the workings of the plumbing system in my house, and how it can backup if the floor drains are blocked. I will definitely call them the next time I need plumbing help.

We just had Eddie visit our house to take care of a blockage in the basement laundry room; we had backup sewage, etc; a real mess. He spotted the problem IMMEDIATELY - the valve gate in the disconnect drain was off and it created a blockage that he cleared out and corrected. (Once again, the City of Ann Arbor never told us this could possible happen). Eddie is great at what he does and anyone needing a good plumber, at a very reasonable rate, needs to call Sinks To Sewers.

I have used sinks to sewers twice. The first time was a couple of years ago, and then again last week. On both occasions, I got excellent service. The first time it was the father, and last week it was the son Eddie. On both occasions, they carefully explained the issues, gave me useful suggestions on how I could deal with minor problems on my own. I was very satisfied with their work, and recommend them without hesitation.

Eds work isnt bad, but he had to come back because the shutoff valve I asked him to replace had a washer break, then I got charged $71 to have him come back and fix it when it would have been maybe $1 for the part if he did it in the first place. And the office manager, who I believe is his wife, is terse and has hung up on me on one occasion. She is very objectionable and Ed seems to be much more level-headed.

This plumbing place is great. This is no big anonymous place with no accountability. Its a family business, theyre personal over the phone, and the serviceman showed up quickly, understood and addressed the issue (gradual loss of flushing power in toilets, 100-year old home), and explained things well. I felt good about using them and will no doubt recommend them to my neighbors. Five stars!
