Stopped in once to get a quote to fix a couple of rust spots on my car. The woman in the office told me the person who did rust estimates wasnt there and I should come back on a Monday. Okay. So I came back on a Monday. The same woman was there. She stepped into the owners office and asked him about doing the estimate, then she came out with me and looked at the rust spots herself (um, if she was qualified, why didnt she do this the first time?). Then she proceeded to tell me that in order to fix a few chips, I would need to repaint the entire hood and roof of my car, and that the small 1/2in x 2in rust spot on my door would require replacing the entire door. She did not offer me an actual quote on either of those options. She just stood there looking at me apologetically as though there was no way she expected me to be interested in actually doing the work. Either the owner told this woman to get rid of me, or she decided to get rid of me herself. I can tell when Im being BSed. Next time you dont want to take a job, tell your customers that you just dont want to take the job rather than insulting their intelligence and wasting their time.
