My daughters car broke down on I94 with a charging issue. I was out of state and couldnt deal with it myself. Roadside assistance got it to Car-Tech. I spoke with them the next day over the phone. They quoted me a $85 diagnostic fee, which Im okay with, as I wouldnt expect someone to do something for free and if I got it fixed there they would apply the $85 to balance of the repair bill. They called me back later and said that the alternator was bad, and that the battery was discharged and wouldnt take a charge. Total cost for the repair was quoted as $580. Now an alternator costs around $140, when I asked they quoted $350 for alternator and the installation. So that means $230 for a battery and 10 minutes labor to install. I had a suspicion that I was being lied to about the battery but authorized the alternator even if it was expensive since it was almost $200 to tow to my regular mechanic. My daughter picked her car up the next day with the new alternator and the old "discharged" battery. She drove it the 30 miles home without trouble. Later, she took the car to Advanced Auto Parts (where I bought the battery) to have it tested. Battery tested fine. So far the work they performed has been solid, but I think they knew I was stuck and were attempting a scam by over charging me for a battery they knew, or should have known I didnt need. Use with caution.

Took my truck in for an alignment, got charged $40 just for lifting my truck on the hoist and not even getting an alignment done because of "problems" that prevented them from completing the alignment. After losing $40, they told me a bunch of false information in regards to what stopped them from doing the alignment (wheel bearings too tight, tie rod issues and multiple other things covering the entire vehicle). The prices to fix the problems that they claimed were there were through the roof. After looking at my truck on my own I found the solution to the problem, which was a brake issue where my calipers were messed up and needed to be replaced which is what made the rotor hard to rotate. NOT the wheel bearings or tie rods as they claimed. I took my truck to Stans alignment on sumpter road and they told me that almost everytime with those symptoms its a brake issue and never heard of it being from the wheel bearings. Just trying to get as much money out of someone they thought was inexperienced.

Everyone at Car Tech provided excellent customer service from the beginning all the way through to the completion of getting our Subaru Impreza repaired. I would say emphatically that they went above and beyond our expectations. We had some pretty significant oil leaks from the valve cover gaskets and the seals behind the timing cover/belt. Not only did they complete the repairs effectively and efficiently, they did so with a friendly and professional approach. Very fair and affordable pricing and they kept us well informed throughout the process. At one point, the owner even went out of his way to pick up a part for our car when it was taking a bit of time to get the part delivered. These guys have certainly earned our repeat business and absolute loyalty. If you need repairs done for your vehicle, whether significant or routine maintenance, this business will do right by you.

I walked to my car one morning last week and saw that one of my tires was flat. I jacked the car up and removed the lug nuts but for the life of me, I couldnt get the wheel off even after spraying it with rust breaking compound and letting it set over night. So, resigning myself to the fact Id have to have someone else do this, I looked up repair shops near me and found Car-Tech in Belleville. They got my car in right away struggled, as did I, to remove the offending wheel but unlike me, they succeeded. I paid the 15 bucks (no extra charge for time and energy trying to remove that bastard wheel), and was on my way. Nice staff. Will definitely go there for a future car repairs.

Ive just bought a used car and hearing some noises. Its roaring when I increase the acceleration. I thought It was something happen on the engine, tires or axles....Then I asked them to check my car in early morning. It took about 15 minutes for the tech guy do a driving test. He came back and told me that everything is GOOD! and explained to me the reasons why I heard that noises as well as tech guy was strongly saying that my car is FINE (or perfect I mean :D). Especially, they didnt charge me anything $0 although tech guy spent 15-20 mins to check it out. This is great place, professional and friendly. Thanks!!!

I took my car in for overheating concern. I wanted to get a second opinion. I was told it had a head gasket leaking. I asked for a quote and before they even looked at my car the price was less then the other shop. So know that I told them to diagnose it and let me know if thats what I need. Later that day they called me and told me it was only a water pump & gasket. I was so excited I told them to fix it. They are now my only shop to work on my car, They could have told me it was the head gasket and charged me that price but they are Honest. Thanks to all the employees at Car-Tech !!!!

I cannot explain how amazing this place and the owner and staff are. I had a very complicated situation with the state paying for (and screwing up, and waiting MONTHS) to get my van repaired. Car Tech was so amazing and not only professional but PERSONAL! They were there every step of the way, never got upset with the process and even gave me a Christmas miracle to get me back in my van on their own expense. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. So professional and kept great contact and did an amazing job. You wont be disappointed! Theyll be getting all my future business!

Outstanding performance! My son dropped off his car because we thought it needed a front end alignment. They did a full inspection the next morning and found out that an alignment wasnt the only thing wrong with it. The person my son bought the car from sold him a car with a cracked frame. I was so thankful that Car-Tech found this out otherwise my son would have been in sheer danger. Needless to say he junked the car and was rid of all the problems he had with that car.
