Went to get a diagnostic check for some problems with my rear brakes; wasnt really sure of the extent of the issues so I decided Midas might be a good decision. Fast forward to them calling me with the estimate: "Uh yeah, I looked at everything and youll need 1 new rotor & a caliper, brake pads look good but we can replace those too for, say $479.00?" I thought these guys would be a good judge of character and know IM not about to get taken to the cleaners for $150 worth of parts (if that). When I went to pick my car up, the chubby fella behind the counter felt it necessary to launch a personal attack on me, citing, "Oh thanks for wasting my time since you knew already you were going to have a friend do it." Well for starters, YOU ADVERTISE ESTIMATES - SO WHY CRY OVER IT WHEN SOMEONE ACTUALLY GETS ONE? Secondly, WHERE DOES THE 200% LABOR CHARGE BECOME JUSTIFIED? Im not even upset they tried to charge me that much, Im upset because they are rude even to someone who is part of a local business - maybe if you dont want people to come in for estimates - as advertised - maybe you should take it off your rediculous fast food-themed menu inside your lobby. I hope the owner is reading this, you will NEVER get any sort of referral or business from my company, way to make a PAYING CUSTOMER feel unwanted and a burden to your busy F****** schedule; sorry your life is so important and Im just some dumb customer who wants his brakes fixed for less than my gross income for a week.

I didnt end up having work done, but that is only because they were straight forward with me. They could have bandaged the problem, or fixed the exhaust problem, but they pointed out many other issues that I hadnt seen coming. It was teetering on the edge of a money pit. Thanks for looking out for me, not just your bottom line.
