I would like to start out by saying that this company enjoys writing good reviews for THEMSELVES! Renee Ruminski is the SERVICE MANAGER and wrote a lovely 5 star review on Google. This is in addition to what I believe to be under one of their mechanics names. Now lets get on to my personal review! Are you next in line for the shafting that AAMCO has delivered to me!? Rest assured that if you take your car here you will be given nothing but empty promises that fall short every single time. Throughout the 2 months my car has been at this shop for an estimated 4 day job by most mechanics, my transmission has been torn out of my car several times to correct issues stemming from improper repair of my vehicle. Starting in early February, I had dropped off my car for a transmission that kept throwing itself out of gear, from here; AAMCO quickly wrote this off as a $4000 job that will consist of completely tearing down the transmission and rebuilding it. Luckily my car was still in warranty so I agreed to the job. A month goes by with daily calls to AAMCO(me calling them mind you) and every day its another excuse; "my builder isnt here today, were waiting on parts, this part that part is bad" until they eventually had the car ready to be returned to me on March 5th. I paid my $1,000 out of pocket for rental car fees and proceeded to test drive my car. After the test drive and being forced to sign the paperwork to take my car, I quickly noticed that the reverse gear was completely wrong as the car quite literally jerked with great force backwards the second you shifted it. Furthermore, the gearshift of 1-2 and 2-3 were also wrong because both of these shifts would completely slip. This was reporting to AAMCO right when I noticed problems and they swiftly tried to blame me and claimed that I mustve "damaged the transmission". This lead to them almost flat out denying warrantying their work, or rather, not promising whatsoever that they would correct their wrongs. That is, until I called Corporate and got some action. From here, AAMCO took the car back and began their 2nd month of work. The usual empty promises and excuses continued through until finally receiving my car back on April 6th. To this day, the car still isnt correct and Ive even went as far as taking it to a separate mechanic that found damages to my vehicle CAUSED by AAMCO! I do NOT trust these repairs regardless of their warranty. AAMCO goes by the title of "Total Car Care", Ill tell you what... they sure did TOTAL my car!! I am a very mild mannered guy and have been nothing but understanding with this company but I need to stand up for myself or I will be left with a car that is not drivable! Mind you, I still owe thousands on this car and buying another one to compensate for the damages caused by AAMCO is not an option... I demand nothing less than complete satisfaction!

I had my Grand Marquis in for a what seemed like a very subtle difference in the way the torque converter was working. I wondered if their technicians would even notice it but thought I would have it checked out anyway. Yup, they recognized the issue immediately, did some diagnostic tests and confirmed that my torque converter was about dead. They installed a rebuilt converter. But, this is where it gets exceptional. They suggested that while the trans was out anyway, they would have a look at the transmission itself to make sure there were no there troubles lurking. Since it is a high mile car, I agreed. They promptly called me back after going through the transmission to tell me everything was in great shape and I didnt need anything else. Where else can you find a transmission shop that will tell you honestly when theres nothing wrong? I was amazed. And, the final bill was only what I expected to pay for the torque converter job itself, with no apparent add-on for the trans tear down & inspection. Its been about 10,000 miles since all this and still going strong!

these people are the kindest souls they really helped us out .. our car is in better shape then when we bought it they defiantly do NOT overcharge and they are thorough .. we will never take our car any where else simply because they are such a wonderful business and honest .. very honest and for those negative reviews .. i never experienced that at ALL they had our car for 3 months and held it for us bc we could not afford to pay it .. then the owner looked at the car free of charge . and found we could save it . he had it repaired in 2 days .. the reason it took three months was our fault we did not have any cellphones or any way for this man to get ahold of us he tracked my husband down where he worked and offered to help us out and now we have our car back and it purrs like a kitten .. he did not have to do any of this for us . but he did .. bc of his kindness we have the security of a car .

Dave and his crew really know how to take care of your vehicle and you. They made sure my vehicle was in great working condition before I took it home. Had my 2008 navigator transmission rebuilt after ford wanted double the price Dave charged me (plus a got a three year warranty and still half the price of ford dealership). Renee always kept me informed and Paul always gave an in-depth report on want was wrong. Took my 2006 navigator there as well for a transmission flush and it was done correctly. They dont just push in new fluid and pump out the old like 99% of all other places do. They do it right by testing the vehicle first then physically drop the pan, change the trans filter, and then fill it to the correct level after going through all the gears. Dave is a very honest guy to detail with...they have a customer for life in me!

Not sure about the reviews Ive read here...didnt know there was such an issue! I am a REAL customer and was having some problems with my oldest car that we use for running errands. There was fluid leaking under the engine and we had to keep adding brake fluid so we took it in. It turned out to be a small cylinder and it was replaced within an hour or so, no problem. They also pointed out the transmission was vibrating too much so they checked it out. Turns out that when we had the clutch replaced at a different place, they either didnt tighten the bolts or put them in or something, but it didnt have any bolts! So, they put fixed that too so I have nothing but good things to say. They could have really overcharged me but it didnt even cost me $50 so you cant beat that!

Over 15 years ago, I got my first car. Had trans work that I needed done. Went to some other place that did a terrible job on it. I came to Aamco Transmissions, and they not only repaired the work that the other place did, they put my trans in outstanding condition. I have never had transmission problems with any of my cars as long as Ive had Aamco Transmissions working on it and maintaining it. They are professional, fairly priced, and they do outstanding work. I would recommend them to anyone, and I will never go anywhere else. The owner is a good man, and he really cares about each and every one of his customers. This will always be my only transmission shop. Thanks, Aamco.
