I dropped my vehicle off on Thursday evening for repair at the body shop located on N. Prospect in Dearborn. On Monday afternoon when I still had not recd a phone call as to what would need to be repaired on the vehicle, I called in and spent 20 minutes on the phone, 10 of those minutes being placed on hold repeatedly, while being bounced between 2 people who could not locate me in their system. The 1st woman I spoke with was rude and exasperated with me when she couldnt locate me in their system. I indicated that I had one of their "courtesy cars" and "how can I not be in your system?" and she still couldnt locate me. She then said that my car was already being worked on! I said that I requested to be notified of what needed to be repaired prior to the car being touched. Nothing was to be done until I authorized it. I was placed on hold again. Then I was transferred to a 2nd person, who wasnt given any information as to the reason for my call, who then asked me all the same questions again, gave me the same responses as the 1st person I spoke with and then I was promptly placed on hold for the 3rd time. When she came back on the phone she said that my car was not being worked on and that they were waiting for my insurance company to approve the estimate. I indicated that I had not recd a copy of that estimate that I had specifically requested when I dropped the car off. She said that she wouldnt be able to get that over to me until the next day b/c the employee that was working on wasnt in that day, the estimate was in his computer and his computer was password protected. ???? Your business hinges on 1 person and no one else has seen this mystery estimate or has access to it?? I then asked her when was the estimate sent over to the insurance company and she indicated that it was sent the following morning after I dropped my car off. I hung up with the body shop and immediately called my insurance liaison and they confirmed that they had never recd and insurance quote. I called Demmers Body Shop back and informed that they were not to touch the car and that I would be coming by to pick it up and take it to someone else to work on my vehicle and they seemed to be surprised and confused as to why I would do that. I wasnt planning on leaving my vehicle with a company that lacks any organization or attention to detail when that is supposed to be their primary asset. If you cant find me in your system after 3 days of my vehicle being in your care then how could I trust that you would properly fix my car? I will never go back and have recommended that all friends and family utilize someone else for their repairs.

TLDR; expect B- work not A+ if you dont care it would be ok. I was in a collision in April in my 7 month old car (not my fault) and through my insurance my car was sent to Jack Demmer Ford. I was glad that they were using a Ford dealer because they should do everything correctly and return my car to factory condition. This was not the case. When I first received the call that my car was done I went to the service center, took one look and refused to take the car. There was a quarter sized chip in the paint as well as multiple locations with scuff marks and swirl marks in the paint from a bad rotary buff Job, totally unacceptable. After they fixed those pant issues I took my car back. After a few weeks of driving it i noticed that the rear door (the one that was repaired) did not close with the same efforts (too high) as it did from the factory and that when they had done door fitment adjustments they had removed the paint on the door bracket. I took my car back to the service center and asked for the door closing efforts and paint flaws to be fixed. They put touch-up paint on the bracket and seemingly ignored the door closing efforts. The vehicle was returned to me. Another couple of weeks later I noticed a rattle in the tailgate when opening and closing, this weekend I began to investigate the issue and found that a bolt was not secured and had come loose in the trim panel of my tailgate, I just reinstalled this myself. I also found that when they reinstalled the bumper they forgot a screw and just left it off instead of replacing it like they should have its a standard Ford Screw so they should have thousands on hand. All in all the repairs were completed but not to the standards of a discerning customer who expected his NEW car to be returned to factory or better. Shop around and find a place that cares about the cars they handle unless quality does not matter to you.

Im torn on the review of this place, because the repairs have been done beautifully but they took a week longer than expected and the customer service was terrible. I left multiple voicemails for the estimator assigned to my vehicle (1 a day for 3 days) and he never returned a phone call. The individual who answers the phone is rude. She was told by my estimator to call me when my car was finished, and she never did. She even told me she would call me back numerous times, and she didnt. I was the one who had to continually follow up. No customer service there. I was told that my vehicle would take about a week to complete, simple job. After a week and a half I called for an update (since no one there was calling me) and I was informed that the wrong part was ordered and they had to re-order. How this is even possible when the estimator and insurance company puts into the system the part numbers is beyond me. No one told me, nor do I think they were going to unless I initiated the conversation. Four days later, I call and Im told my car is in reassembly and will be done by the afternoon; no phone call. Next day, same thing. Finally called and asked to speak with someone else, other than the rude receptionist, and my estimator tells me my car is done, didnt someone call me? Good heavens! It took them 17 days to replace and bumper, trunk lid and paint it- estimated at only 8 days. Still- the repairs were done, the paint looks good and the trunk opens and closes. They even vacuumed the inside for me. If you want good repairs, they have what you want but be prepared to deal with terrible customer service.

I have had 2 vehicles here the first one was totaled out and the staff helped me clean out my car and carry my stuff to my other vehicle. The second one needed some scratch repair and they did a wonderful job, you can not even tell there was any damage. Also, Diana kept me updated throughout the process. They answered any questions I had and did a great job!

Very expensive, nice service, but if you dont have full insurance they will rip you off, I went to get an estimate on my Honda Civic front fender and head light replacement, they gave me an estimation for over $2400, putting things that I didnt know needing to be fixed, I ended up fixing them in another shop for 25% of what they asked!!!!
